Again another pool coming that starts off ok and then starts charging more and more every single month, nickle and diming every month for "shock" charges, etc. then said they showed up when I have permanent tenants thinking it was an Airbnb and no one would be there- gate is locked and no pic of pool sent......pics of other pool to me.......then final charge they added fees on again. Acrobat pools I mainly use, are way better and I should have switched months ago. The woman is also rude that answers phone of course I know how technology works lady- I sold the very first cloud services in US back in early 2000s.....seriously dumb. She also sent a letter due to "staffing limitations" they would no longer clean my pool- just all of a sudden. No call just an email.....one do the worst pool companies, the pool guy I used who was good, left them due to issues and went downhill fast from there. read more

Had to find new pool service after my old one semi-retired after 22 yrs. Pool Folks recommended by my neighbors daughter. Was bumpy service in the beginning but once the right pool tech came on board and got familiar with our pool and equipment its been smooth sailing!! We also used them to replace all our old equipment with new updated equipment and Jandy services. Very happy! They also know how to fix any hiccups and service maintenance is excellent! This company "serviced" my pool for a year. Not exactly sure what they did other than use a test strip and clean out the basket. Fast forward one year later and the chemistry is WAY OFF, which didn't get there overnight. Pool turned green twice this winter. Serious communication issues and lack of response to any of my concerns. Even after I mentioned I was going to write this review, no response. So here it is! read more

Since ownership has traded hands the service has gone down hill. We discovered after about a year of them doing our pool they never knew how to operate our system. It is a more complicated one and they never should have been servicing our pool. Our pool starting getting a lot of dirt and debris and they came out one day to look at it and ended up completely draining our whole pool in the front yard. NO ONE bothered to even come out and take a look at our property instead they said they would trouble shoot from their home. We have a 30 plus gallon pool that ended up int he front yard and washed away landscaping and gravel. This was negligence on their end and then did not want to have any contact or response to us afterwards. read more

The Pool Folks are amazing!!!! I love working with them. They're honest, affordable, and reliable - BUT THE BEST PART IS THAT MY POOL LOOKS PRISTINE NOW :) It has never looked this good. Initially installed my new filter. Said they would come back and show me how to clean it - sure I thought. Six months later I called, and sure enough Daniel came out and walked me through the whole process - no charge. So when I thought the impeller was blocked in my motor, you know who I called. Responsive and job done beautifully. Only reason I did not click a value rating is I do not know what a standard service visit fee is. But I think I got great service. read more

I've been using pool folks for 4 to 5 years now. I don't use them for weekly maintenance. I use them for repair replace. Daniel is a professional and always is available when I call. He installed a variable pool motor in June, and 2 months later it was stolen from my backyard. He is here today to install another one and it will be lockdown where no one else can steal it. If you ever decide to get a brand new pump / motor. Get a chain and a padlock because there are people out there looking through your backyard to find a new pool pump. read more

Previously, I had given this company a terrific rating. Merrill is the owner and has been to my house twice, he was great both times. Merrill is retired and I believe Daniel his son is taking over. I called Daniel a week ago about a leak on the top of my pool pump. He said he could probably fix it the next day and to text him a photo of it. He said then he would call me right back. He called me back a week later. He said he had to find the parts and the time to do it. All I needed was a new O ring which I purchased myself at Leslie's. This isn't the first time that Daniel has done this to me. Maybe he's not interested in taking over the pool business? I don't know but he is not reliable. I will not call him again. read more

I have been maintaining my own pool for the past year, so when my pool pump broke I didn't know who to call. I Had the most amazing service with this company. I contacted them through Angie's list. they came out immediately to look at the problem and returned within 24 hours to perform the service. Not only did they replace my pump, they fixed my pool light which has been broken for over a year and also Made some other minor repairs. additionally they walked me through steps to help me maintain my pool more efficiently. they are truly a family owned business, very trustworthy and professional.
