I vetted 8 or so pool resurfacing companies in the Phoenix area. Superior offered the best mixture of great reviews, ROC license, long tenure in the region and an incredibly competitive bid. Pool resurfacing is one of the most expensive expenses a home owner will have to budget for, so you have to consider the providers reputation when thinking about their ability to service the 10+ year warranty. Superior was easy to work with, impressive showroom and timely communication throughout the entire process. The finished product was immaculate. I highly recommend them for PebbleTec. read more

Horrible workmanship and quality. They resurfaced our pebbles to pebble sheen and it's worse/more rough now than our old 15+ year surface. I've called them out twice. Once they tried to spot fix and the second time they acid washed the whole pool as they even admitted that it didn't appear to have been done right or even at all. This summer after several swims we've noticed that almost the entire pool is rough. So disappointed and would not recommend them. read more

Superior for the win AGAIN! Our cool deck wasn't too bad, but was starting to show its age. However, our patio really needed attention, it was covered in saltillo tiles, which were cracking and aging badly. Had an estimate from another company that was very high, and then I remembered Superior and asked if they also did concrete coverings, cool-deck etc, and they DO! Their estimate was MUCH less and they did MORE. They completely removed the old cool deck and painstakingly prepared the patio surface (we had already removed the old tiles ourselves) and the new cool deck around the pool and completely covering the patio came out fantastic. The workers were great and polite and worked very fast. Thanks, Superior! Again! read more

We worked with Tim on our pool resurface. Tim was great as well as the staff. We were doing this from a remote location so we had to trust that the work would be completed well. Tim not only helped us narrow down the selections of surface material and tile selections but his staff sent photos of the progress along the way. The pool looks great. We did have some minor overspray on the pool deck but they were quick to resolve that. I would recommend working with Superior Pool Plastering! read more

Superior Pool Plastering was the UltraPoz subcontractor for the interior finish of our new pool. They arrived at 9:30am and were done at Noon. 7 workers in the pool working hard from start to finish. The pool looks great. Of course, the Dolphin Pools superintendent will be by Monday morning to to give his expert opinion. The only reasons I deducted a star was because they were hard to communicate with, as none of the crew were fluent in English (luckily my girlfriend is fluent in Spanish) and one of the crew members was smoking in my backyard. We're non-smokers and I'm allergic to the smoke. read more

They have done my pool now 3 times all because of poor workmanship. They also leave your property a mess. I have had to email them back and forth numerous times due to their incompetence. It's now been 2 years since the first pool plaster, and it already needs to be redone. Imagine how much value they have cost me due to jackhammering out the pool plaster each time. Last time, they clogged up the pool pipes with plaster due to not properly covering the holes for my in floor cleaning. Avoid them at all cost! Ask whoever builds your pool if they use Superior as a subcontractor as many pool builders do. Had I known what I know now, I never would have used my company. read more

fantastic pool remodel . exceeded expectations and extremely nice people . wonderful .

Are you serious?! We called for the estimation to redo our pool. Dominiq came to do the measurements, invited us to visit the showroom to choose the material, sent a quote by email, gave a time frame for the project... We took a time off from work, went to the showroom and met Jill (we were the only ones in the showroom for 25 mins, no one else came in at the time we were in the showroom) who showed us a product. Everything went well, we picked the material for our project, and we were very happy. "Great" we thought.... We made our plans, requested the time off from work to make sure someone is home when the project will start; and... in 2 hours received the emails saying that they are dropping our contract 'due to the further consideration they will not fulfill our contract". What?! I called the customer service and spoke with Barbara who said, - "we decided to drop the contact because you visited the showroom unannounced, and Jill was very angry and upset by that". Hold on... we got invited by your rep into the showroom!!! People! Do not waste your valuable time with these ungrateful snobby schm.cks, they do not respect you, your time and money. Do not make yourself disappointed with the lack of common sense and ANY respect to the customers! You can find better companies, we did. What a disgrace to the Phoenix private business this company is. read more

I should have left this feedback months ago, but we couldn't be happier. Jeff L , his crew, entire staff too care of our project and everything was perfect. Cost, Service, Friendliness, knowledge, number of years in the business. It was awesome! They did the edging of our pool and resurfaced it. It's been a great Summer to stay at home. I highly recommend Superior Pool. Check around but in the end, you'll wish you made this your FIRST and last call. Before and after pics.... You will thank mE! -Scott read more

We needed to refinish our large spa and Tim came out and took a look and gave us a written estimate that same day. We had three total estimates and Superior was the least expensive. They did a great job and were very prompt and finished quickly. read more

Highly recommend Superior pools. Tim first met with us and explained everything in detail and that's exactly how the job went. Chris oversaw every step and was very easy to work with and helpful with answering our questions and made sure a problem which many companies might have ignored he made sure we were taken care of. The office staff was very responsive and helpful. Most of all we have a beautiful pool!! read more

When we bought our house, the pool was a nightmare! It had to be drained and it became immediately apparent it needed resurfaced. We got a few quotes, but Marc's professionalism and willingness to answer all of my questions really stood out. The company is licensed, been in business over 20 years and warrantied their work for ten years! The crew for the chip out and "superior sheen" were in and out within hours. They were able to save our tile and did a wonderful job. Marc answered my emails, texts and calls almost immediately. We choose a mystic blue pebble and added glass beads. The result is gorgeous! read more

Called multiple times, was told I would be assigned someone to come quote the job. He texts me at 6:48 am in the morning for an appt? I ask him (Brandon) don't text so early please. Then he next the Friday before at 6:18am? He is working his schedule will call with eta. Then the night before he shows up cancels at 7:38pm? Brandon says it's because other jobs didn't finish on time so he is busy has to reschedule? Professionalism-0 , I said don't text me so early Keeping your appointments-0- Trust -none read more

We got a few bids, and the way Marc explained the whole process to me, and the possible hidden expenses put Superior Pools above the rest. There are certain things they cannot know until they chip the pool which other companies did not take the time to explain. Superior's pricing was right in the middle of the other bids, but their product appeared superior to the others. They gave me options with both plaster and pebble tech, and provided options on the tile and pool light we needed to repair. After moving forward with their bid, they put me on the schedule, and everything happened on time. The crews that came in were timely, professional, and did a phenomenal job. Each step of the process was smooth, and the work was great. My only knock is the clean-up. Chipping a pool is very messy, which I understand, but the amount of debris left behind was significant. I'm still picking plaster up around the yard. The new surface is awesome, but there's bits of blue all around the yard as well. The clean-up is the only reason for not having five stars. Everything else was great and the pricing was fair. We are very happy with the end result, and will enjoy our pool for years to come. I will use them again if I need to resurface. read more

I was in desperate need of a resurfacing for my plastered pool that had peeling paint and outdated tile. After getting numerous quotes from various companies, I am so glad I chose Superior because every single person (the salesman, the office personnel, the demo crew, the tiler, the inspector, the pebble spraying crew, the acid washer and the startup person) was so knowledgeable, helpful, experienced and professional! The entire process was seamless, took less than 3 weeks and my Pebble Sheen pool looks absolutely gorgeous!! I have highly recommended them to all my friends. They were reasonably priced compared to the other quotes I received, but their quality of work far exceeded my expectations. read more

I wanted to write and say how much I love the resurfacing of our pool. It is so much better than I could have imagined. On top of that, Marc's service was outstanding throughout. From dropping off of samples to late night texting (my fault for asking questions at late hours)to make sure I knew exactly what was happening, I could not have been happier. I swam in the pool for the first time last night and I was in heaven. The Baja step is my favorite and exactly what I wanted. The tile is lovely too! All at fair prices and on schedule. Also, these guys clean up after themselves! Bonus! Thanks again for all you did to make this a dream pool for me. read more

Highly recommend. I vetted approx. 10 companies over several months. I chose Superior for a variety of reasons. Good Registrar of Contractors review, good Yelp reviews, good Google reviews. They are licensed to install the real Pebble Tec and do the install for a number of other companies. Why pay a middle man when you can get work directly from the source? Called Tim on Monday. Came out on Tuesday, went over estimate for accuracy, signed contract and picked out tile and pebble tec finish. Chip out, removal of slide and diving board, tile, new lines, light, pebble tech, inspections, acid wash and pool fill. About 3 weeks. On time, cleaned up mess, questions answered either same day or next, written time-line, excellent communication from start to finish. Finally, they are reasonably priced. My 10 estimates ranged from $14,000 to $27,000 for exactly the same stipulations. They were near the low end. read more

After hearing multiple horror stories from friends who had their pools resurfaced, I was not looking forward to resurfacing our pool. That said, I am not sure how Superior could have done anything better than they did. They even completed the project a day earlier than projected. Reasonable pricing and always responsive. I would absolutely recommend Superior to anyone. read more

We had a great experience with Superior Pools. They built a new large play platform, reconfigured the steps, added new hand rail and replastered the pool with their product. Their product is beautiful, soft pebble sheen material. They where great at communications and cleaning up. They got the job done in the time they promised. If I needed more information they responded quickly. This the company you want to go with for sure!! read more

Absolutely a horrible company. Very poor workmanship. They finished the interior work and 4 months later my kids, including nephew (visiting from out of state) could not step in several areas of the pool to play basketball, because the ground "felt like stepping on nails.." as the kids said. Upon personal inspection, I discovered the floor of the pool to be very uneven and there are many decolored areas where pebbles coming off. I have no words to express my disappointment and displeasure with this company. read more

Superior Pools just finished redoing my swimming pool...after years of procrastinating choosing a company to do the job...I was referred to them by the HOA at a complex in which I own a unit who used them several years ago to redo the pool there. The best thing that I ever did. The job went so flawlessly from start to finish....from the appointment with Jimmy Muller who looked the job over and gave me an estimate that included everything...to the chemical set up last Tuesday with Todd. They were so considerate and professional...and cleaned up everything after every step....by all means use them as I would should I ever need this done again. read more

The reason I gave 4 stars is because this app doesn't allow for 4.5. The reason I didn't give 5 rather than 4.5 is that it would have been a nice touch if the company had hired some landscaping guys to come in behind the work crews to help clean up the yard afterward and help return it to a bit closer to what it was before work started. There were no major issue, that just would have been the cherry on top. Otherwise.... the rebuild of our pool by these guys was.... well..... Superior. I had thought we had a relatively minor job and called Dominic on a referral from someone else. He came by and assessed what needed to be done. As the inspection went forward he explained everything he was finding and had me look at each item personally. Apparently the company that we hired 13 years ago did a shoddy job and some of the work required this time was a result of that. Our job became quite pricey but I understood everything that was being done and why. SPP (Superior Pool Plastering) was committed to sticking to the timeline provided to us. When an unforeseen issue arose that required re-building the existing entry steps they worked on the weekend to keep everything on schedule. The stated completion date was 12 days from start and even with the delay caused by that issue finished 13 days from start. During the process Dominic was always available for any reason I'd need to contact him. Just a phone call got me an answer. He visited our house many times during the work to insure we were satisfied and personally kept us in the loop of anything out of the ordinary. We are completely satisfied with our pool and would highly recommend Superior Pool Plastering to anyone in need of major pool repair. As I stated early in this review the quality of work echoes their name. Superior. PS - I should mention our work took place in March 2017. read more

Superior resurfaced our pool and cool deck. We had a divet in the "cool" decking they made while finishing our pool. I contacted them but Marc said he had a migraine and would get back to us which he never did. We couldn't get them respond after we paid them. The contract also said hand rails which we never got. Avoid this company. read more

Superior Pool Plastering, Glendale, AZ, recently redid our pool surface and tile. We could not be more pleased. Their price was very competitive. Everyone we dealt with at Superior was focused on customer service and customer satisfaction. Tim Gissel was our salesperson. Tim has considerable experience in this industry and is extremely knowledgeable. Tim is professional, responsive, and courteous, Any questions or concerns we had were handled promptly and to our satisfaction. The remodeling project started and finished on time. The work crews arrived as scheduled and completed their scopes without delay or any problems. Everyone we spoke with at Superior's office - Deboni, Elizabeth, Melanie, and others - was also customer-oriented, polite, professional, and followed through as promised. We are totally satisfied with Superior. If you are considering a pool replastering you owe it to yourself to get a quote from Superior. You will not be disappointed. read more

Prayer that they fix my tile. Not only becuase they take payment at their completion, competency and integrity are in question.

Thank you for the excellent customer service and assistance in helping me to locate repair for my pool. Marelena and Jeff have been wonderful with Jeff even coming by to see if they can assist in any way. The issue is with the tile I chose and wanting to make sure whoever I hire to replace it knows what they're doing. I chose beadcrete as my surface in 2005 when it was very new. The only issue I've had was from the start having some blotchy areas that despite efforts at that time never really resolved. However, the beadcrete surface texture has held up amazingly well! Jeff said they made improvements on the color process so I can imagine what a phenomenal product it is now. No doubt I would hire Superior Pool Plastering and have beadcrete again. I highly recommend beadcrete but nothing less than 6 inch tiles (lesson learned). read more

Our pool re-surface & retile was just completed by Superior and it is GORGEOUS !!! They not only gave us a brand new looking pool (it is 30 yrs old) but completed the job on schedule and budget. No surprise extra costs or up-sell marketing efforts. Marc was our rep and he made sure everything was completed with quality and efficiency. He was easy to communicate with, answering all texts and inquiries promptly. He always made sure the site was clean after each phase and the work that was done was of the highest quality. I contacted Superior Pool Plastering, along with 5 other companies to get quotes on re-plastering my pool. Dominic came out and gave me a quote. Right away, I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He was one of only 2 companies that didn't try and up-sell me on unnecessary or additional work on my pool. And His price was VERY competitive! I went to see a pool he did in my neighborhood and it looked great. The owner there gave Superior rave reviews. So I went with them. Their office person, Nancy I think, emailed me a schedule and it was followed to a T. No problems, No delays, No excuses. Everyone was very efficient and professional. My pool was done in 5 days and it looks spectacular. I couldn't be happier. I was emailed a copy of my paid invoice along with warranty information when the job was finished.
