One of my favorite Seattle restaurants! My boyfriend and I come here often. Triangle Spirits has a phenomenal bourbon selection, and some of the most knowledgeable bartenders I've encountered. We prefer to sit at the bar and chat with the bartender about different bourbons to try. They have several rare/discontinued bottles that are definitely worth a visit. I love their fried chicken. This is long overdue. I am fairly new to Seattle and was introduced to this amazing spot by a friend. Cocktails are always delicious, creative, balanced-- you can tell they put a lot of thought into everything they do. The fried chicken is AMAZING. Solves all of my problems. I purchased some cocktail to go kits with all the recent Covid-19 madness going on. They are so well put together and perfect to execute a solid drink in the comfort of your home. Good poutine. Have tried a couple brunch items. The eggs Benedict was meh. I didn't feel like I got to taste the Benedict sauce well and it actually took away from the chicken. The has browns are good though. Also tried the fried chicken and waffles and I'm meh about the waffle but the fried chicken (dark meat) was fantastic. I hung out here while my bf was record shopping around the corner and it was super chill. I watched some baseball, no one was screaming...it was nice and quiet. I drank a couple of vodka sodas. My bf eventually joined me and we hung out for a bit. The bartender gave us a sample of the happy hour deviled eggs and they were quite delicious. Our server Kelly was nice. We did run out of water a few times and were low on beverages. So when someone in our party went to the bar to get shots - we were told to go back to our table. We did end up getting jello shots however our water remained empty + no one came to check on drinks in a timely manner. After we went to the the bar a 2nd time to ask for assistance, we were told to go back to our table. Which escalated when we let her know how we were being treated from our "customer service" view Unfortunately, the part owner "Amber" who seemed to be on a power trip, did not assist. She wouldn't listen to our full feedback before we could finish. She said, I realize I can't fix the situation or change your mind. When we tried to explain the situation in detail, she just said "you're not listening to me" ??? + repeated herself. as an owner, how can you offer a sincere apology or feedback without knowing all the facts or at least listening to the customer point of view?? We came in from Arizona for a visit and got great recommendations on Triangles, so it was a true disappointment. Our main feedback was if there would have been signs stating "Do Not approach the bar" then we would have known not to do that. Instead we were treated like we were getting scolded, like a kid being put in time-out. Very ridiculous since we're all adults. Again, no apology + did not resolve anything + it just seemed like she wanted to make sure we knew she was in the wright because she's the owner. We definitely do NOT recommend Triangles and do not plan to return on our next visit. In this past year the place has completely turned around and the food, atmosphere and service is always tip-top. Yes, yes and hell yes! We live in Sammamish and on a whim I asked my Wife out on a date so we ventured into Seattle. We were totally prepared to get something to go and find a spot to park somewhere downtown with a view to eat. We called ahead to check the protocols and to our surprise the Triangle offered outdoor seating.. oh God yes! We got a very good vibe from our server right off the bat and immediately ordered.. can I just say hello to my new friend Jello Shot with pop rocks.. and Dickel Whisky with a pickle back? Just wow. We both love.. I mean are obsessed about crispy fried chicken and just let me tell you this place delivered. REVIEW OF NEW OWNERSHIP, LATE-2017: I have SO MUCH LOVE for the fact that this place is a gluten free/celiac HAVEN! Seriously, it is the ONLY place I can walk into and know I don't even have to THINK. Sure, they have a couple of gluten items that I can't have, but the majority of their menu is a free for all for me. And has variety. And is DELICOUS (Jonesy is a master...and Amber's homemade pickle spears....omg). I always tell everyone that Kenji and Amber had my back and taught me everything I know when the celiac kicked in, and saved me YEARS and YEARS of heartache (stomachache? delerium?). Down to which boozes are safe. They're my heroes, and just opened their own bar/restaurant down the street from me. This is my haven, in a way that the place they worked before this and got the owner to install a dedicated GF fryer was my haven. My only one. They deserve to be shouted from the rooftops for this. Great vibe but very mediocre food and drinks (cocktails were bordering on bad). Having lived in Nashville for 2 years, the hot chicken here doesn't even compare. The ambience is very Nash though, and even the employees look like they were shipped over from Tennessee. TLDR: The Barrel Thief is something like a block away. Go there instead. I tried out the Triangle for the first time since 9 Million Dollars in Unmarked Bills closed and was not impressed. First off, it was far to loud. The guy next to me tried to start up a conversation, but I really couldn't hear him. I glanced at the menu and although a few interesting selections appeared that were not at the Barrel Thief or Brouwer's, those few amounted to exactly 5. The menu was simply shorter. Furthermore, the staff were less informed about the offerings, having to go check to answer my questions about ambiguous whiskeys. The staff was fairly attentive, though they filled my glass with ice water, which seemed like a clearly wrong decision given that I was drinking whiskey neat. My impression is that this is not a bar for people who want to appreciate spirits or have intimate conversations. I was there though, so I followed my M.O. and ordered a half pour. The bartender had no problem with this request and eventually returned with a very large half pour. The bar was not using snifters (no joke, if you are serious about whiskey, Brandy, or at least Scotch, you should be drinking out of these. I know, right?!), but the pour seemed on the large side, so I figured it was a fair compromise. When I ordered another half pour though, the bar keeper insisted that I had not ordered a half pour before because she would not have served one to me. So, that is pretty tautalogical. This was my first drink of the evening and and I distinctly remember asking for a half pour and waiting to take a sip of water until my order had been accepted in case I needed to walk out. The bar keeper clearly was in a groove and not paying that much attention to what I said. Further evidence of this was that when I pointed to a somewhat unusual menu item and asked about it, stating its name (which had a unique element to it) while pointing to the corresponding bottle on the shelf, the bar keeper went over and indicated a different bottle. Then when I pointed out that the item on the menu was incorrect, the bar keeper casually dismissed it as a labelling error. What? So I ordered it anyway because I had wanted to try it and the bar keeper bullied me into paying for a full pour. Despite that, I really enjoyed the whiskey and intend to buy a bottle, though I don't think that says much about the quality of Triangle. Of course, a single pour costed roughly 20% of the price of the bottle (in contrast, my first drink costed closer to 30% of the price of a bottle) and I really was only thrilled by the first half pour, so this was not a terrific outcome. I left a slightly generous tip because I realize that the bar keeper has a difficult job, but it really was not deserved. Needless to say, I will not be coming back and will encourage my co-workers not to go here either. At least when I do not enjoy a $30 half pour of Scotch at Bouwer's I can appreciate that the price is at market level and that I did not need to pay for a full pour. And, of course, the Barrel Thief has a great selection of liquors and a couple of terrific staff, as well as a better atmosphere and lower prices. And there is no problem with half pours. Don't visit the Triangle. Compared to the Red Door, the prices are competitive and at least Triangle has something on the menu worth drinking, but that is pretty much the only thing that could redeem Triangle in any way. What fascinates me about my emotions following this experience is that while I have often left an establishment thinking "this place deserves to go under (such as after I got deathly ill after using Jai Thai's disgusting bathroom) or "this place deserves to stay in business" (such as after I had an amazing doughnut at Donut Factory), this is the first time I have left a place thinking "they deserve the opportunity to fight to stay in business, but I hope they fail". read more

Great food, great place, great service. The place is very homey and cozy. Seating everywhere, and we could sit wherever we wanted. We were given a drink and food menu that had lots of different variety catering to southern cuisine. The food was amazing. It hit the spot when it came to the sausage plate, ordered mine with cheesy grits and a garlic spread with biscuit. The food came out super quick so that was pretty neat.
