I've often seen this driving range off the freeway and for some reason thought it was part of the Las Positas Golf Course, as they seem pretty close together. But don't think they are affliliated as the signages seems pretty separate. Balls dispensed through a machine that can take cards. Slightly better value than in my area, where I can get about 10 extra balls for the same price of $11 for a medium bucket. My area gives me 50 balls, here I got 60. They have both grass and mats here, which caught me by surprise as I haven't seen a grass range in over 10 years. They are just much more maintenance for a place to have, and my area for sure no longer have them. So I applaud them for having them here. But on an early weekend morning, that grass area was completely full, with people in line even for the stalls. There were only 10-12 stalls, so I'm pretty sure that the demand exceeds the space. The matted area was another 30-40 yards away. You're hitting into an open field facing the freeway. There are many palm trees out there so I did find targets to go for. Except there's no yardage postings, so I was going by feel. The whole point in going to a driving range is so you can work on your yardages, so I dock and reward ranges that may or may not give you this benefit. There's a small chipping area that also gets occupied readily. I may have to check this place out on a weekday mid-day sometime. The putting green was just okay, decent to work out some basics, but nothing like a course you'd play on. I had a decent practice session here, except in the summer morning I went, the matted area was very wet, probably they hose it down to clean it, which is fine. But my matt was pretty saturated so not sure on how it affected my contacts. Also when I left and got home, and because I was wearing shorts, I had several insect bites around my ankles and calf areas, on both legs. I'm assuming mosquitos because everything was so moist and wet, but left me itching and scratching for several days to follow. I hardly ever get bites even during camping, so to get them from a driving range, makes me weary on returning. read more

I find that having the choice of practicing on grass or under the overhead covered mat is very good. I think more range markers between 50 and 200 yards would be helpful. There is also a small chipping area and a putting area that makes for a good exercise in reading greens. read more

I am easy to please when it comes to driving ranges - this spot is unassuming and casual. They have plenty of slots with grass to hit from and mats with shade. I don't typically like hitting off mats so I can't speak on those but the grass is good most of the time, sometimes it is too patchy to hit comfortably. Staff is super nice! There's typically only one person working so if they're not in the store, they are out on the range collecting balls, be patient with them. They have some loner clubs for travelers or people like myself who had their clubs stolen :( lol They're crappy but nice that they offer them! They also have a small selection of local brews to sip on. Buckets are inexpensive! A huge bucket is only $14. I love that you can just go to the ball dispenser and get your own stuff without talking to anyone. It takes card & apple pay! read more

Used to be my go to spot to practice until Pleasanton Golf Center became my preferred spot. Balls are a bit old and unwashed...My hybrid face got scratched. Limited stalls for mat hitters who don't want to hit on uneven turf. Has seen better days but is still a good location to hit balls. The owners should up the game a little. read more

Conditions have been bad over the past year I have been stopping by here. Rarely ever hitting on grass, mostly hitting on dirt and weeds.

Was my favorite driving range, I stopped to hit balls on my way home from work but will need to stop now that they close the dispensing machines one hour before closing. Seems almost like you are inconveniencing the grounds keeper. If you close at 7 PM then close your machines at 6:45 not 6:05pm. Or simply change your closing time to 6:00pm. I'll be moving to Diablo creek. It's a bit crowded and out of the way but balls are available up to 15 mins before closing. read more

I really like the improvements being made to the Tri Valley Golf Driving Range. The facility and practice areas are all in much better shape. Hitting off decent, real grass, is the only way to improve your game-thanks! The Club Repair Shop run by Jake is a huge plus. He is a golfer who knows the game and his craft. He is very knowledge, helpful and accommodating- Thanks Jake! Sounds like a small thing but posting No Smoking signs in the hitting areas is VERY much appreciated. It's terrible to be working on your game on a beautiful day only to have the person next to you starting smoking and smelling up the place (not to mention the 2nd hand smoke issues!!). They always have the grass closed and when it is open they make you hit off dirt and sand instead of fresh grass . The mats are like hitting off concrete. We pay the money they should let us hit off something decent. The grass will grow back. read more

My son and I are currently taking a series of lessons from John Joseph. He is excellent in assessing and making improvements to your game at any level. Patient, experienced and knowledgeable. I went and hit balls there last week after not practicing there for along time . It seems to be in much better condition I like to hit off grass at a driving range so that is a plus . They have a nice putting green along with a sand and chipping area to use. The people who work there seem very nice which make the experience that much better. read more

FYI - My GPS took me through the parking lot of the mall to get to their entrance. Their entrance has speed bumps - for all your speed devils! As you pull up to the entrance you can gauge to see how busy it is - I always find that helpful. Parking lot is pretty big - so no worries about parking. The entrance is quite hidden but you walk right up to it. The clubs you can use for free are to the right - right when you walk through the door. I opted for the Value bucket - 153 balls for $12 They give you a card that you use to fill your bucket. You grab a basket - insert your card & the balls should start dumping. They have grass & turf spots. Oh! For a Tee - you have to pay. So if you need one - get it before you get your bucket 'o balls! They have benches so you can have a seat if you want to rest between your sets. Lights turn off at 9:00pm - FYI. I've become a regular here - no hassles to get in - hit some balls - and get out. read more

I don't know about the wet and muddy greens to hit off but I did FIND MY STOLEN CLUBS there. AJ and Ben are selling clubs out the back door that they "get from others" well one of the sets that they were nice enough to split up so you could not tell that all the grips were matching were mine! They did give them back with out to much fuss and I hope they didn't mine that the Livermore PD went in after I got my items back! I just wish that they had the rest of the missing items! I guess the CC Sheriff's will be chatting with them about that on Monday! Any place that knowling sells questionable items should be avoided! Just a quick note about your Range Card savings. Pay $250, get $300 is NOT 20% savings as your website shows. It is only 16.6% savings. (300 - 250) / 300 = 16.66% savings To prove this, lets use a simple example where the cost is a penny (ie. almost free!) and the benefit is $100. (100 - 0.01) / 100 = 99.99% savings I'm guessing math is not management's forte... ;-) Your website also states that range cards are valid for one year. Sorry to pop your bubble, but California law does not allow expiration dates, nor can you charge a service fee, or dormancy fee. (with limited exceptions, but you have to print those exceptions on the card in large 10 point font) I would remove that limitation from your website and update your "savings" statement before some blood sucking money grubbing class action lawyer tries to make a buck off you. There are too many recreational places shutting down and I want you guys to keep on trucking! Thanks!! read more

I have hit balls at this place a few times and it's a great driving range. Maybe it's just Alameda County, but today I went to go hit some range balls and for some ridiculous reason they do not have cashiers who can process your credit card payment for range balls. Seriously? I can use a credit card pretty much everywhere right now (cashiers use gloves) but for some reason their COVID rules are different? Just ridiculous. Too bad. I like giving this place my business because the people who work there are generally nice and respectful and it's a good driving range. Just frustrating. read more

Trivalley golf is located a little out of the way off Fallon road. Great little practice area. They have the standard driving range with about 15 or twenty lanes, but even better, they have a grass area with well over twenty lanes, part of which is covered. Like most grass ranges, the "booths" move backwards and forwards so there's always relatively good grass to hit off of. You simply have to subtract the yardage from the flags. The putting area is also very good, with three separate putting areas and a bunker off to the side a bit with variations in height so you can practice pretty dramatic bunkers or much lighter fair. One of the great things about this place is that it's open until 9pm, with lights that come on as it gets dark. A variety of bottled beer is available (thought nothing remarkable, at least enough variety so that everyone can find something drinkable) as well as energy drinks and some soft drinks. There's light snacks as well as candy. All of these are available until closing. Better yet, there's grilled food too. A local restaurant, forget the name, supplies a bbq grill, and the main chef is Adrianna, who can make a variety of basics like hamburgers and hotdogs and philly cheese steak sandwiches, but also typical Mexican grilled foods too. The variety is limited, but again, there should be something for everyone, and she's will to customize. There's some outdoor seating to relax while grabbing that beer or perhaps a sandwich or taco, as well as a bunch of picnic benches. If you need lessons, there are a few good teachers here as well, or so I'm told. I once got a free 15 minute lesson from Stan, but haven't paid for lessons yet. Prices are as others have stated just $10 for a super bucket (153 balls), but the machine takes any increment under $10 (even tho they only have $5 and $7 listed). If you live within 10 miles of this place, It's a pretty good place to go after work, grab a beer, and hit a few. read more

A 3.5 star golf range. Decent prices (small $5, large 102 $7, jumbo 150 $10). No charge to hit off grass. A decent sized chipping area with sand trap. Putting green is relatively flat but roomy enough for a few ppl. They recently started up a BBQ and now are sell burgers and brats. The golf shop is basically non-existent... But they do sell beers so you can enjoy a little brewskie while taking the frustrations of the day out on those tiny little golf balls. read more

This is a decent driving range. Plenty of stalls and a golf shop with snacks and beverages. The Tri-Valley Golf Center also has golf instructors available (which I plan to take advantage of soon) and a tropical theme with strategically placed palm trees in the driving range. It would be great if the owner could spruce up the road leading to the driving range as it felt like I was driving on the surface of the moon with all the craters. However, that aside, I recommend checking this place out before they sell the land to a developer for the next big retail project in Pleasanton/Livermore. read more

My boyfriend got a new set of clubs for Christmas and wanted to try them out at the driving range. We came here on a Wednesday afternoon and there was a decent amount of people, but still some open spots. We paid $9 for a large bucket of ~110 balls which was a good deal. Facility is kind of outdated. This was the closest driving range to where I was staying during my visit. I didn't have my golf clubs, so I had to borrow some from the driving range... and they were horrible. In addition, I had to buy a rubber T to use for driving the ball, which was strange. I left it there, as I will never probably use it again... most facilities provide their own T's. Anyway, despite my comments above, it was still peaceful, and I was able to work on my swing. Today they were out of balls (again). Was able to get a "small" bucket but accidentally pressed the button for a large. Unfortunately the range attendant/owner was there to witness me pressing the wrong button and expressed her displeasure for me ACCIDENTALLY pressing the wrong button. I only had $8.40 left on the card so I only got $8.40 worth of balls. No big deal right? Wrong. I went back to get a second small bucket an hour later and the same lady told me that she wasn't going to sell me another bucket because I had unfairly taken too many earlier...oookaaay. How did she know it was my evil plan to wake up this morning, plan to arrive at the exact time the range would be out of balls, then purposely press the button for large when they only wanted you to get smalls? I don't leave Yelp reviews because I'm bored and enjoy typing long sentences on a five inch screen. But this incident at this range ranks as one of the most bizarre and unfriendly I've had at any type of business ever. This also isn't the first run in I've had with their management/staff/ownership. The previous two times it was also about petty things, none of which i was guilty of, but asked to clear up based on the assumption that i had been guilty. Like using the lesson stall.. maybe because I just had a lesson for the oast hour? Is it my fault that their range isnt able to keep enough balls in the machine? As a paying driving range customer, you'd think having enough balls in the machine is a fair ask. What's next? No mats so just hit off the concrete? Speaking of their mats, majority are in bad shape with heavy wear. Grass area can be hit or miss, with a miss meaning there is a drainage hole in the middle of your already bumpy stall. Needless to say, I will never come back to this horrible range. So horrible. read more

I agree with Josie, I had the same experience with the same lady. Went there this morning, I don't know why they have to treat people the way they do. The lady this morning was rude with snide remarks! What a way to start my morning, I didn't need that! This is supposed to be a relaxing experience and we as patrons should not have to be treated like that! A few weeks ago again, when I walked up to the counter an older guys says, "what do you need?" WTF! His question should be, how can I help you? The people there need human interaction skills! It's too bad because I really like the facility. People need to be nice!! read more

Took lessons from Stan Laugero. He is an exceptional instructor who listens to your concerns about your golf swing. Took 5 lessons from him and learned a lot. He has patience and is very positive. Even when you take practice swings and miss, he will point out what you need to correct. I went to him to work on my iron shots, and we proceeded to the driver and the pitching wedge which I wanted to work on.
