Severe Safety Hazard - Poor Maintenance on Tennis Court Nets…read more The maintenance of the indoor tennis court side nets at Bay Club Pleasanton is unacceptable and poses a major safety risk to players. The side divider nets have multiple large tears and holes. When running down wide-angle shots, players run the risk of getting hands, racquets, or feet snagged. Tonight around 7:36 PM on Court 5, my shoe got caught in one of these holes while I was moving near the side net. I lost my balance and fell hard, scraping my arm and hand while my shoe remained stuck in the net. Just last week, I witnessed another player catch their hand in a separate hole in the net and end up bleeding. Additionally, the heavy black bottom edging of the nets drags loosely on the court surface, creating an extra tripping and slipping hazard. Management urgently needs to repair or replace these divider nets before someone suffers a more severe injury. I am attaching photos showing the exact holes and hazards mentioned.

I figured since we have our own 55' batting cage in our yard, the Classic membership would be awesome.. get a discount on private lessons and some take home skills to work through via the app... Well, twins... homeschool PE became anything but baseball in the backyard so we switched to the "Elite" program. Initially was discouraged as the classes were always full and had scheduling issues. However, a year+ later I'm very happy with class availability and the addition of classes when needed. It's hard to reach anyone by phone at the business number early in the day as they open for classes after 3 pm, but leaving a voice message, email or using text message is pretty responsive... so they ARE there, just not physically in the building. My boys enjoy the classes and feel they are honing skills and developing new as well. It's great for me as a homeschool parent as someone else is now in charge of "PE". I do wish there was more space inside so parents could pop in and watch now and then but definitely no room for one parent of each player in a class.. and also, it's less distraction. You will see many parents in cars outside multi-tasking while kiddos are inside. It's a great time to bring your pup and take a walk too! If you have any ballplayer - baseball or softball, and any age, I encourage you to check this place out at least for the assessment you will get with a video and very valid comments on hitting and pitching to keep whether you continue on or not. The staff is great and has been easy to work with even as I had billing questions.. it's about the experience first and can work through anything else! Cost is pricey along with everything else these days, but worth it. For us, changing from Classic to Elite made sense.

The quality largely depends on who the instructor happens to be. The private lessons were very helpful albeit very expensive. For the group classes some of the instructors are very good and some don't offer much instruction at all. They don't seem to limit the size of the class so at times there are way too many kids for a single instructor to be effective with. As a result kids just go through the drills with very little to no individual instruction. They seem to struggle with keeping their accounting accurate have had a couple issues with that and it took a lot of time to straighten out some erroneous billing on their part. Overall though they have a good program but it could be better.

Activities / Amenities: There are quite a few options to choose from when it comes to working out here. There are two outdoor pools, a kiddy pool, a jacuzzi, an indoor track (something that is more common on the east coast), workout equipment and machines, at least eight tennis courts, etc. I can only speak for the women's locker room, but this alone is quite large. There are about five bathroom stalls, quite a number of individual shower stalls (with doors like bathroom stalls), a lounge area with a television, and a changing room. There is a large wrap-around deck on the main building that allows you to have a view of the pools and parking lot on one side, and the tennis courts on the other. Staff and service: There is a parking lot, with overflow parking available at the church next door (except for Sundays), as well as additional parking on the streets. Upon entering the lobby, there is staff to greet you, have you check in (hand sanitizer, a cup for clean pens, and a cup for used pens available), and send you on your way.

That's going to require an improved ventilation system. To be honest, it's bad enough that I bet the health department would shut down the club over it. Another thing I noticed is that the water fountains behind the stairs haven't been cleaned in months, if not over a year. The amount of rust and scum build up on them is horrific. I will continue to use the gym merely out of convenience, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone who values cleanliness and sanitation.

For basically the entire four years I've been a member, management has said they're "working on" replacing or repairing the broken and worn-out equipment. Four years later, I'm still waiting to see what exactly they've been working on. Look at the photos. Seats and pads are ripped open with the fabric literally falling apart. Multiple machines are damaged or poorly maintained. Cable attachments are missing. Equipment stays broken. Weight plates are scattered around because there isn't adequate organization. The windows are filthy, and basic cleanliness and upkeep seem to be an afterthought. This isn't a couple of cosmetic scratches on old equipment. Some of these pads are completely shredded down to the backing material. Members are paying monthly dues to work out on equipment that looks like it was rescued from a gym that went out of business 15 years ago. The most frustrating part is that management clearly knows about these problems. I've heard for YEARS that equipment is going to be repaired or replaced, yet the same problems continue while more things break. At some point, "we're working on it" stops being an explanation. I've stayed because the location is convenient and I genuinely want this gym to be good. But after four years, there's really no excuse. Stop promising members that things are going to be fixed and actually fix them. Replace the destroyed upholstery. Repair the broken machines. Replace the missing attachments. Clean the facility properly. Maintain the equipment people are paying to use. A gym doesn't need to be brand new or luxurious. It just needs to be clean, maintained, functional, and safe to use. After four years of hearing the same promises, that shouldn't be too much to ask. The photos speak for themselves.

I have stopped by the front desk at least 5 times, each time leaving my name and phone# for the mgr.- Matt to call me back, he has not once returned my call. Mind you, every time I've gone, the mgr is there, he just tells his staff to say that "he's not available right now" I've asked the staff there and they don't know what's going on, so continue to just leave Matt my mssgs. I have heard that they are working on finding a new instructor. Problem is, there is an instructor that already works in the Livermore location that has said multiple times that she can sub, she just needs the Mgr "Matt" to reach out to her. All of this info has been in my multiple messages left to Matt and he has not reached out to the instructor to ask her to sub, leaving all of us many customers/attendees, without a Body Pump class at all for a few months now. @matt, please follow up and contact the instructor that I left you her name and number, and ask her to sub on Thurs. evenings for the 5:30pm class, so that we are not all suffering with no classes at all to attend. We would all greatly appreciate your action on this. Else, what are we paying our monthly dues for, if we can't even take the class? The sad thing is, this was an easy fix that just required you to make one call a few months ago and it would've been easily taken care of, until you find a permanent instructor.

When Luca first started, he was very hesitant about going underwater. Coby immediately put him at ease with his calm, patient, and encouraging approach. He found creative ways to make each lesson fun(i.e. singing Luca's favorite songs), and helping Luca build confidence at his own pace.
