Activities / Amenities: There are quite a few options to choose from when it comes to working out here. There are two outdoor pools, a kiddy pool, a jacuzzi, an indoor track (something that is more common on the east coast), workout equipment and machines, at least eight tennis courts, etc. I can only speak for the women's locker room, but this alone is quite large. There are about five bathroom stalls, quite a number of individual shower stalls (with doors like bathroom stalls), a lounge area with a television, and a changing room. There is a large wrap-around deck on the main building that allows you to have a view of the pools and parking lot on one side, and the tennis courts on the other. Staff and service: There is a parking lot, with overflow parking available at the church next door (except for Sundays), as well as additional parking on the streets. Upon entering the lobby, there is staff to greet you, have you check in (hand sanitizer, a cup for clean pens, and a cup for used pens available), and send you on your way.

I was impressed, but too far as a solo parent and work/obligations to make it worthwhile for us with the cost. We were VERY happy with the move to Livermore. I figured since we have our own 55' batting cage in our yard, the Classic membership would be awesome.. get a discount on private lessons and some take home skills to work through via the app... Well, twins... homeschool PE became anything but baseball in the backyard so we switched to the "Elite" program. Initially was discouraged as the classes were always full and had scheduling issues. However, a year+ later I'm very happy with class availability and the addition of classes when needed. It's hard to reach anyone by phone at the business number early in the day as they open for classes after 3 pm, but leaving a voice message, email or using text message is pretty responsive... so they ARE there, just not physically in the building. My boys enjoy the classes and feel they are honing skills and developing new as well. It's great for me as a homeschool parent as someone else is now in charge of "PE". I do wish there was more space inside so parents could pop in and watch now and then but definitely no room for one parent of each player in a class.. and also, it's less distraction. You will see many parents in cars outside multi-tasking while kiddos are inside. It's a great time to bring your pup and take a walk too! If you have any ballplayer - baseball or softball, and any age, I encourage you to check this place out at least for the assessment you will get with a video and very valid comments on hitting and pitching to keep whether you continue on or not. The staff is great and has been easy to work with even as I had billing questions.. it's about the experience first and can work through anything else! Cost is pricey along with everything else these days, but worth it. For us, changing from Classic to Elite made sense.

The quality largely depends on who the instructor happens to be. The private lessons were very helpful albeit very expensive. For the group classes some of the instructors are very good and some don't offer much instruction at all. They don't seem to limit the size of the class so at times there are way too many kids for a single instructor to be effective with. As a result kids just go through the drills with very little to no individual instruction. They seem to struggle with keeping their accounting accurate have had a couple issues with that and it took a lot of time to straighten out some erroneous billing on their part. Overall though they have a good program but it could be better.

Severe Safety Hazard - Poor Maintenance on Tennis Court Nets…read more The maintenance of the indoor tennis court side nets at Bay Club Pleasanton is unacceptable and poses a major safety risk to players. The side divider nets have multiple large tears and holes. When running down wide-angle shots, players run the risk of getting hands, racquets, or feet snagged. Tonight around 7:36 PM on Court 5, my shoe got caught in one of these holes while I was moving near the side net. I lost my balance and fell hard, scraping my arm and hand while my shoe remained stuck in the net. Just last week, I witnessed another player catch their hand in a separate hole in the net and end up bleeding. Additionally, the heavy black bottom edging of the nets drags loosely on the court surface, creating an extra tripping and slipping hazard. Management urgently needs to repair or replace these divider nets before someone suffers a more severe injury. I am attaching photos showing the exact holes and hazards mentioned.

Upon arrival we walked in and it was so empty in the front room. We waited a while and peeked around at the merch but no one came to the desk and the class was starting soon so we wandered into the back. We found the only room with silks hanging and entered, the instructor was incredibly off-putting and cold. She didn't welcome us, or even look at us when we approached her to intro ourselves. She scolded us for not checking in properly even though no one was in the building to tell us. She put my friend and I in far apart spots and when we requested to be near each other she huffed. The class itself is a whole lot of fun. Being new to using silks, the instructor explained the movements well and I felt confident in executing new moves. After she felt out the class she even walked us through a more advanced upside down movement. There was one student who was clearly very advanced in aerial yoga/acrobatics so the instructor had him do the majority of the demonstrations.

After that was complete I waited a week before I sign up for 3 month of all access pass (all access allows use of all locations) . Since I joined in October , I've completed 44 classes. I have attended classes at all four locations. I chose to try Joya because it offers Bikram Yoga, Circuit, HIIT, and more! All of the facilities are amazing. Their facilities are always clean and I love that three locations have showers. I enjoy attending 5:45 AM and 6:00 AM classes. The instructors are always energetic and excited to teach! , Considering most of us get up at like 4:45-5:00 AM to be at class by 6:00 AM. I have not yet attended - Joya Cycle (I have a sciatic issue) - jBarre (availability/classes always full) - jFit (availability/classes always full) - Cardio Blast (availability) - Ariel Yoga II (availability) Again, I can only attend early morning classes due to schedule. I have attended a few weekend classes which there is a ton of availability at all locations. I personally love how intense the HIIT/Pilates and Jcircuit classes are. I really get a total body workout in those classes. I love that Joya offers HOT Bikram in 60min, 75 min, and 90min sessions. I do one of those classes once a week. Bikram has done wonders for my health since I started doing it in. 2014. If you are looking to change up your routine, or to try something new. When Luca first started, he was very hesitant about going underwater. Coby immediately put him at ease with his calm, patient, and encouraging approach. He found creative ways to make each lesson fun(i.e. singing Luca's favorite songs), and helping Luca build confidence at his own pace. That's going to require an improved ventilation system. To be honest, it's bad enough that I bet the health department would shut down the club over it. Another thing I noticed is that the water fountains behind the stairs haven't been cleaned in months, if not over a year. The amount of rust and scum build up on them is horrific. I will continue to use the gym merely out of convenience, but as it stands, I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone who values cleanliness and sanitation.

I've been going to this 24 Hour Fitness for four years, and somehow the condition of the gym has…read moregone from disappointing to downright embarrassing. For basically the entire four years I've been a member, management has said they're "working on" replacing or repairing the broken and worn-out equipment. Four years later, I'm still waiting to see what exactly they've been working on. Look at the photos. Seats and pads are ripped open with the fabric literally falling apart. Multiple machines are damaged or poorly maintained. Cable attachments are missing. Equipment stays broken. Weight plates are scattered around because there isn't adequate organization. The windows are filthy, and basic cleanliness and upkeep seem to be an afterthought. This isn't a couple of cosmetic scratches on old equipment. Some of these pads are completely shredded down to the backing material. Members are paying monthly dues to work out on equipment that looks like it was rescued from a gym that went out of business 15 years ago. The most frustrating part is that management clearly knows about these problems. I've heard for YEARS that equipment is going to be repaired or replaced, yet the same problems continue while more things break. At some point, "we're working on it" stops being an explanation. I've stayed because the location is convenient and I genuinely want this gym to be good. But after four years, there's really no excuse. Stop promising members that things are going to be fixed and actually fix them. Replace the destroyed upholstery. Repair the broken machines. Replace the missing attachments. Clean the facility properly. Maintain the equipment people are paying to use. A gym doesn't need to be brand new or luxurious. It just needs to be clean, maintained, functional, and safe to use. After four years of hearing the same promises, that shouldn't be too much to ask. The photos speak for themselves.

Cali All Stars is definitely a top-tier gym with a celebrity reputation. That said, they don't…read morealways put their money where their mouth is. While they preach that athletes must meet certain skill levels--like having tumbling or flexibility--it's not consistently applied. There are athletes on higher-level teams (like J2 Crew, Covert, Swagg, and Pink) who lack basic tumbling skills or flexibility, yet they still get picked year after year. Meanwhile, kids who do have the skills are often overlooked. For example, there was a girl on J2 Crew who has been there for years and still doesn't have a back handspring. Yet, an athlete didn't get to fly because she was a priority. Weird. Cali is an amazing gym if you fit the "type" or look they're going for. But if you don't, skillset alone might not get you where you deserve to be. Just know--it's not always about talent. Sometimes, it's about the image they want to present. Your team will WIN but your child internally may not.

At first we told her why can't you go to Valley Cheer as it was in our hometown. Well long story short, we ended up taking her to Cali. Best decision we ever made. She started on a senior level 1 team as a flyer, which she loves. Let's just say she has the bug. She wanted to do Cali for a year to improve so she could tryout for HS Cheer, well guess what?!? You got it, she didn't tryout for HS as her main focus is to move up a level each year with Cali. This year she made a Jr. Level 2 team. She is one of the oldest, and is now a base. She is enjoying learning how to base, and her tumbling has improved in less than 2 years. This year will give her the opportunity to be a leader to the younger kids on the team. The staff is incredible!!! Calvin and Andrew were terrific coaches last year when she was on Deja Blue. They taught her to believe in herself. She gained confidence as well as wonderful friendships (so did this momma). The gym has taught her how to work hard, have goals and be disciplined. She has experienced highs, lows and many life lessons. We look forward to her year on J2-Crew, and working with Coach Brittany & Matt. Faith over Fear!!! Cali
