Nice to get out to the local golf course. This one is very close by. Less than 10 min and they have a huge parking lot. Located next to the executive airport in Livermore off Airport Blvd. The driving range is off to the right. You cross over a little bridge and then it will be on the left. They have real grass and fake grass mats for the driving range. $8 for a small bucket of balls. A small little pitching area but there were no putting holes. Just flags with no holes in the pitching area. The golf shop is all the way on the left when you 1st pull into the parking area. That's where you will get your tee time slot. They also have a restaurant Beebs that is located in the middle. Sports bar and grill. Serves alcohol and bar food.. read more

We played soccer golf here today and had a blast. The worker was very nice. When it was our turn a group of golfers tried to take our turn. The worker came out on his own and let them know it was our tee time. I appreciated his kindness in doing that. We rented soccer balls from Las Positas, but you can bring your own. read more

Laspo is my type of golf course. It ain't fancy shmancy but they offer a bang for your buck! For the amount of damage that this course endured with all the rainstorms earlier this year, it is fairly maintained. There were a few holes with some necessary repair but overall, not bad at all. Fairways are tight and those greens are tricky! Pace of play here sucks. There was a tournament going on the day I played but after reading some reviews, that seems to be a common issue here. Something to keep in mind if you are a picky golfer. I've always seen this course off the freeway and glad I finally gave it a try. I'd definitely play here again, it's modest and affordable. Beware of the wild turkeys! I've heard great things about Beeb's. It's a large restaurant with patio dining, several TVs and a full scale bar. I just did my chilled tequila shot to end the round but I'll have to stick around and try the buffalo chicken sando next time. read more

It was good, not great. I don't really see the issues some of the reviews in this timeframe did. The course is doing some construction, but overall in decent shape for winter. The price drives it down, it's just typical overpriced Bay Area public course fees. For that price the carts should be new with usb ports and distances. Las Positas has been around a long time and had some bad history but it's a good for a moderate skill level. The pro shop has ample gear in case you forget or just want to pick up something. Will be interesting to see the construction finished. read more

This has to be thee worst golf course management in the tri valley area. We had family come out of town so we booked the first tee time and as soon as they called our name to tee off we did. There was a ton of construction on the 1st hole along with tons of mud patches in the middle of the fairway and in the along with a lot of roped off area's. so it literally took us a couple minutes to move balls and find ways to hit so were not getting in the way of repairs. As we just finished the FIRST HOLE. The marshal comes up telling us that we need to speed up our game because we are 2 MINUTES over the play time because the play time is 15 minutes and we took 17 minutes. As we tried to explain it was because of all the construction that they had and repairs on the course he simply replied "Look speed it up or ill have to ask you to leave I don't want to cause problems" read more

First time golfing in almost a year, and had an absolute best time golfing here! I've always seen this course from the freeway and finally got a chance to give it a go. The course itself is not super easy. While it's links style, there's plenty of fairway bunkers, hazards, and tight fairways that can make the round tough if you can't keep it straight off the tee. The rain this year flooded parts of the course and they are slowly working themselves back. The greens were nice for a public course, and sneaky fast at some points. For $75 on the weekend for 18 holes and a cart, it's definitely one of the more affordable weekend golf rates in the bay. The tri valley does get super hot at times, so trying to snag a early tee time would be ideal. The pace of play was a lil slow due to a tournament but I didn't mind bc I really enjoyed the company I was with. Overall, I'd definitely play this course again. read more

One of the worst golf experiences I've ever had. First, they had zero balls on the range, with one person in charge of cleaning all golf carts AND collecting range balls. Then, they scheduled each party only 8 minutes apart so the entire course was backed up 2+ groups. Left early as even though tee time was near noon, we didn't finish till 6. I've played here many times but mostly back from 2000-2005. Tried it again after many years of not, so wanted to solidify some notes into an official review. Full 18 hole public course that's been servicing this area of Livermore, Dublin and Pleasanton. I actually thought this was in Pleasanton, but pretty much near a border that sits on the Livermore side. Notes: It is next to 580 so several holes will be right next to a busy freeway. Usually not my cup of tea for a relaxing golf outing. I liked the back 9 better than the front 9. The front 9 has more marshland terrain and a few shots in the beginning holes are blind. Unless you're a regular here, you either have to guess on where to land it or hopefully someone in your group has somewhat of an idea. Golf is hard enough to pull off, it becomes not fun when our 'guessing' becomes penalizing. The back 9 is much more open and straight forward. The front 9, where the marshlands were, were very moist and a tad muddy. Even in early fall when we visited in early October before any significant rains. I bet this course is a mess during the winter. The back 9 used to have a ton more trees back in the day, mostly tall and shady eucalyptus trees. The hard winter of 2023 played havoc on many of those trees, either knocking down heavy branches or knocking the tree to the ground due of excessively soft soil due to water. You can actually still see remnants of chopped up lumber in piles in a few areas. Now I know it wasn't their choice to knock down trees but it does expose a lot more of that roaring freeway adjacent to it. Before it was more secluded and had more of a forest vibe. Place is pricier than I remember. But so are a ton of other things in this modern economy. But it cost me between $60-$65 to play on a weekday morning with a cart to share with a buddy. A cheaper place for us is around the low $50s like Redwood Canyon in Castro Valley or San Ramon Golf Club. We try and not spend more than $75 for a weekday round, unless it is for an occasional splurge. I think Callippe in Pleasanton is close to this same price and Callippe is a much more upscale course. Food area is cool as it is a full sports bar called Beeb's. I only got a hot dog and a beer for the turn, and it took a borderline long time as you're trying to get back out there without losing your place in flow. Most places have this dog ready to go, here it seems like they make it to order from the restaurant kitchen. Fresh and delicious it was, but it took much longer to receive it than most other places. I would sit and hang out more on another visit to try more food and drinks, but Beeb's is a different and separate listing so this rating will remain just for the course. It sufficed but not my choice for a round given the options for the area. read more

Los Positas Golf Course: Still Waiting for a Marshal Who Cares To Help! Alright, so we hit up Los Positas again, and honestly, it felt like the movie Groundhog Day - but not in a good way. We were kinda hoping things would be different since our last visit years ago, especially after they told us they'd sorted out the whole "slow play" thing for our little friends tournament. We had actually stayed away because of persistent pace of play issues and even cart availability problems in the past. As our friends tournament coordinator I decided to give it another try, believing the tournament director when he said things had improved after the recent storms and upgrades. Some of our guys even bailed on the tournament because of past slow play, but as the organizer, I decided to give it another chance. Spoiler alert: they didn't sort it out. Our 9:28 AM tee time got pushed back to a ridiculous 9:57 AM because, apparently, they crammed too many people on the course. And get this: the marshal was just chilling, doing absolutely zilch to move things along. Seriously, dude! The round itself? A brutal 6+ hours. Six + hours! That's an average of 20 minutes per hole, which means there's no way to build any kind of rhythm out there. Yes, I know we're not pros or anything close, but come on, man! That's just insane for a golf course, and the fact that it's happened to us here before, was just the icing on the cake. We called the clubhouse twice to get someone to light a fire under the two groups ahead. First call, they the marshal came out and was like, "Nah, nothing I can do, I really can't do anything." Second call, they promised a new marshal, but that guy apparently got lost on the way. We still waiting for him to come out. Look, I get it, some folks just play slow. And yeah I know they paid good money, but if you're barely hitting the women's tees, maybe don't tee off from the blues, ya know? But the course has gotta step up and actually do something about it. The marshal's primary duty is to monitor a reasonable pace of play, and that clearly wasn't happening. On the bright side, the folks in the clubhouse were pretty cool for the most part. Though, a few of our guys got hit with an extra dollar charge because we didn't pay as one big group. A dollar ain't a big deal, but it's the principle, right? And some people got charged one thing, others another, which felt a little sketch. But shoutout to Beeb's staff! They were awesome. Super welcoming, super attentive, and seriously, they were on top of those drink refills like pros, which was a godsend since it was a scorching 100 degrees out there. The food was pretty darn good too! The course itself was in decent shape. A little confusing in a few spots, but nothing we couldn't figure out. And those greens? They were money - good condition and rolling super fast, which was a great help. So, Los Positas has some good things going for it, like the course itself and the awesome crew at Beeb's. But until they actually fix the snail's pace of play and get their billing straight, it's gonna be tough to give it a glowing review or another try. Fingers crossed they actually get it together next time we decide to swing by which will not be for a long long time! ! read more

The people in the clubhouse and beebs are great. Always helpful and friendly. The cost is reasonable and the location is super convenient. That said... The maintenance is garbage. The pace of play is unbearable. What they did to the first fairway will likely need to be redone or will end up worse than before. The course is both super soggy and super dry. Assuming it's due to the sprinklers not working correctly or because they're buried in the weeds. The greens could be good but no one bothers to fix the pitch marks (players and course maintenance). The bunkers would be cool if there was actual sand in them. The company that runs this course should go out and walk the 18 and 9. Really nice courses that are going to s$&t because they can't maintain it or do the simple things like manage the weeds, sprinklers, put sand in the bunkers, or fix the pitch marks. read more

I hate to be the guy to post a negative review about something not related to the course, but unfortunately, the guy who runs the pro shop needs to know that how he acts will inherently impact business at this course. We played the 9 hole course on a Sunday with my Dad, Father in law and my two young sons. Overall, the course was fine. Some rough spots for sure. Especially the tee boxes. It was cart path only, which it should be, and on the last hole, my Dad drove about 7-10 yards off the cart path so my father in law could get to his ball easier. The guy in the pro shop drove out to address this. My Dad started by saying he knew he was wrong and apologized. The guy in the pro shop berated him multiple times and my young son was sitting in the cart as this was happening. He was in tears as he drove away. After the round, my Dad returned to the pro shop and again apologized, only for the same guy to berate him again. My Dad was in the wrong for leaving the cart path, but this was completely over the top. The guy needs to understand that there are ways to address behavior on the course without causing that much of a scene. Especially, when the person you are speaking with is calm, accepting responsibility and not combative. I see positive changes here at Las Po, but this makes me wonder if my time and money could be spent somewhere else. read more

**Pace of play is killing this course.** With 3-4 staff standing around the pro shop, assign one as a marshal to enforce pace and tee times. Groups routinely ignore their scheduled slots and play whenever they want, pushing back later groups by 20+ minutes. A 6am tee time shouldn't result in a 5.5-hour round. Enforce rules early in the day before backups cascade. The lack of course management and player decorum is destroying the experience for golfers. read more

We tried to play their short course recently but were stuck behind a group of 20+ people playing footgolf. We were just a bit confused on why we were able to book a tee time when there was an event like that ahead of us. The course was not well marked or well maintained. We will unfortunately not be returning to play here as this was one of several poor experiences at this course. read more

A work in progress. Strips of fairway are under replacement, so several holes are cart path only. A lot of areas are dried out with no grass. Fairways have lots of divots and ruts to snag your ball. Play lift, clean, and place to avoid frustration. (It's all ground under repair, really.) Punched greens are still holey and bumpy - almost automatic two-putt quality for another few weeks. Beeb's is worth a visit! They opened at 8:30 am on a Saturday. Excellent breakfast and lunch! Adequate parking. read more

I finally was able to play at this golf course. I've been seeing this golf course whenever I pass by HWY 680 at Livermore and my friend invited me to play with him. Our tee time is at 9:44 am and since I arrived 1 hour early, I was able to hit a few range balls at their driving range. They have mats and also natural grass. I liked hitting the grass since it gave me a natural feel for hitting the balls. We didn't see any Marshal at the 1st tee box and played our round when it was our scheduled tee time. On a weekday, noticed a lot of groups playing in front of us. So there's a log jam once we get on some par 3 holes. The course is practically flat however I noticed a lot of Bunkers on the fairway and around the greens. There are also a few holes with water guarding the front of the greens. Take an extra club to hit them past the water hazard. We're hitting on the white tee and the par 4 is less than 400 yards. If you hit a good tee shot, gives you a chance to the green on the second shot. The par 3's are a bit long with some holes reaching more than 150 yards. The par 5 holes can reach more than 500 yards. If you're a long hitter, you can reach the green easily and get a good score card. My only negative about the course is the fairway has a lot of brown spots. I noticed a few greens with brown spots around also. This course is decent and any high handicapper will enjoy their round. I've been around the Bay Area and this course is not on top of my list. However, I will come back and play this course again. read more

I know the weather is bad and all, but how can they charge you $67 to play a round of golf in this garbage. They left grass clippings on the fairways and didn't bother draining huge lakes in the middle of a Fairway. 1. 5.5 hour round for a 9:10am tee time 2. Curt in the pro shop isn't the friendliest. 3. $72 for the round + $10 for a SMALL bucket of balls 4. Ball machine was broken, and they made it seem like it's the customers fault, so we were only able to buy 1 bucket at a time. ($10) BS 5. The course maybe used to be worth that price but not anymore. My cousin I are constantly coming here to play the golf links. It's a 9 hole course consisting of par 3s to test your iron game. It's an amazing price just to play a round of golf if you get off work and the sun isn't going down too soon or you just wanna get out there and see what you can shoot. It's well maintained and the staff at the pro shop always have a professional and welcoming attitude. Top notch customer service and the love of golf keeps us coming back to this place. read more

Our regular group played here yesterday. Of the eight of us six decided to ride and two decided to push. Seniors $32 if pushing & $49 if riding. Prior to yesterday we played here one other time. Yesterday we kept asking each other did we push or ride the first time and how long ago did we play here? Guesses included 2-3 years ago up to 5 years ago. Why did this matter? Because we agreed that no way would we have pushed. The course configuration is hap hazard. To get to the next hole was loopy. The cart paths are hard to drive on let alone push on. The back nine was more challenging with a couple of holes where you needed to lay it up to avoid the barrancas. My cart didn't die but my friend's did. Mine was sluggish. She informed the pro shop who compensated her. Because of COVID the course is allowing single riders if not same household. The golf carts were not cleaned or wiped down. At least power wash them. Old score cards and even a golf ball in one cart was found. Later at the 19th hole the conversation continued. After checking credit card statements and calendars we discovered we played here last August during the pandemic and was charged $30 each. That indicated walking. No way we would have walked. Some were adamant we rode. Going forward we're going to ride if we come again. read more

Bummer. Blues +12 Pace of play: Great for 7am start. We were in front of a group with 7 tee times, so maybe after them it was a bit slower? 4 hours even on 18. That's one of the stars I'll give. Layout: Great/ challenging. This is the second star. Ton of bunkers around greens/ makes the fairways seem tight. The few dog leg holes are cool (9,18). Tough but easy to birdie/par Condition. : Horrendous. Period. They let it go. Marshy everywhere. The sprinkler routing must be screwed off because it's crazy wet and swampy on parts of the fairway & the greens look like waterbeds. I attached some photos so you can see how soft/spongy they are. Literally SANK a ball into the green from 100* out. You know-- I'm going back and removing a star because the price doesn't reflect the play. $70 with a cart to play 18.. 70... You can't enjoy this at 70. Especially when you're charged $18 PER person in the same cart. And the carts are f***ed off. Sorry but it's true. This is a sub-$40 course. at the earliest time. Course was in excellent condition. However, the pace of play was nothing I've ever experienced on any golf course. We tee'd off at 12:00pm this Saturday and finished the 18th hole at 6:45pm. There were multiple groups of 5 playing together yet there's no Marshall or anyone at the pro shop that did anything about it. This is ruining the game of golf. I've played here 20+ times and unfortunately will not be returning anytime soon. The manager in the pro shop is a great guy, they just need some help and restructuring. read more

played early saturday morning. for whatever reason, it wasnt as busy as i thought a muni should be (compared to poplar, monarch, paradise). complete facility with food, proshop, large putting green, driving range, and chipping area. I appreciate how the marshall was patient with our jr golfer when we were a bit behind. they must have a feral pig problem as many parts of the course were dug up. Pros - nice flat layout, easy to walk, colored pin placements and yardage markers. once in awhile you will see wild animals; squirrels, fox, hawks and deer. Cons - expensive to walk on a weekend, the course does not drain well, the course stays very wet throughout the day. if this course could solve their drainage problem it could be one of the best kept secrets in the bay area. read more

I learned something. If you have reservations for a cart, you shouldn't expect that cart. We were told that our cart RESERVATION isn't if there's a tournament. I think it's a PROBABILITY. The course is great I would not recommend lessons based on my multiple failed attempts to get lessons here. Both times I scheduled with Michael so I don't think this reflects on all their coaches. I do t know, but he is the head instructor demonstrating this behavior so. I booked a lesson for mid-June a week in advance. The night before, it was rescheduled to 3 hours later resulting in a conflict so I couldn't go. Today I had a lesson scheduled and Michael just failed to show up. They texted and called him but got no responses. I can't see myself trying to book a lesson here again. read more

Went to play golf today with three friends of mine. We had a good time on the golf course even though it wasn't in the best condition. The fairway was OK and the greens could've been maintained a little bit better. The price wasn't too bad but all in all it was a decent golf course at a decent price and I would go back again. The biggest complaint I have is that there is wild geese and turkeys running around the golf course and there is feces all around the course. If they can keep the animals out or keep the course cleaner, I would be happier with it. read more

Worst run golf course in the East Bay. Played here many times and wouldn't go back on the weekends if not for friends wanting to try it. Any weekend round is over 6 hours. No marshal on the course and no accountability in the pro shop for extremely slow play. 3:15 to play the front 9 and got to the 10th tee and we were the 4th group waiting on the tee box!!! Decided to call it and walked off. Course conditions are also not great. Lots of burnt out grass, greens riddled with ball marks that no one fixes. read more
