We have had repeated issues with this company's technicians and no longer trust their service…read more During our furnace installation, the two techs failed to check for gas leaks, leaving our basement filled with gas -- a dangerous situation that could have ended very badly. We also caught them wandering around parts of our basement they had no reason to be in, and when questioned, they gave a vague excuse and walked away. A year later, during an HVAC check, a technician claimed our AC capacitor was "low" and could burn out and tried to sell us a backup. Capacitors are either within tolerance or failing -- there is no such thing as a "low" capacitor, and a backup is pointless because a failed capacitor must be replaced. We said we would replace it when it died. It's been checked since with no issues. During our recent spring check-up, a different technician, Marshall, told us our AC was "incompatible" with our coil and suggested installing a hard start kit. I questioned how that would fix incompatibility, he admitted it wouldn't and blamed it as a band-aid on a supposed "hack job" during installation. I said our house had been inspected with no issues of incompatibility of our compressor and the coil. He later returned with a completely fabricated story about our AC being a "special COVID-era unit" that was magically made to be universally compatible and we didn't need to worry about it. Our AC was installed in 2019, before COVID. His explanation made no sense. Then he randomly added that he remembered our refrigerant being low last time and that the recent install of our furnace must have solved that issue. Our refrigerant was never low and the install of the furnace would have nothing to do with the compressor. I felt like this guy thought that because I was female that I knew nothing and would believe his BS. He then attempted to upsell us on $3,000 worth of duct mastic sealing. I asked, why would we pay that when you haven't even verified that we have duct leaks? He said there was "no way" to test for duct leaks -- which is simply untrue. Also problematic is that he was training a new tech on this nonsense. This company is clearly not training their technicians properly and seems to encourage upselling over honesty. We will not be using them again and will be warning others to avoid them as well.

Cody reached out 24 hours later and asked if I still needed service -- why would you ask that? I told him yes, and that my home was at 60 degrees. When he didn't respond, I followed up, asking when he might be able to come out or if I should contact another company, as I needed help ASAP. Below is his response. "You haven't even found out our schedule and you're already asking to contact another company. At this point I think this will be a learning lesson for you. I will be contacting the insurance company and having someone else out. Take care." This is how you treat a customer? By teaching them a lesson in a situation like this? WTF is wrong with you?? Worst "Service" I've ever had The owner, Cody, was aware…read morethat me and my family were without air-conditioning in 90° heat for WEEKS. Including a senior citizen. It was hard for me or the home warranty company that was also working with him to get ahold of him. Even after paying a service fee he refused to answer calls. He would only text hours later. When he WOULD respond, he was often dismissive and rude. He was also very lax about providing necessary information to move the process forward. He was so non-responsive that the home warranty company eventually had to drop him and chose a different company. The NEW company responded immediately, over the phone, even while in the middle of another job ON THE WEEKEND. They came out the same day. Turns out we'd been waiting on Cody for weeks but when the other maintenance worker arrived he just reconnected a few wires and it worked. What a SHAM. I'd be very cautious using this "service" company.

He called me and stated he was on the way but didn't show for almost another 45 minutes. No biggie. He got in and started. He told me if I wanted to be come a member to have my units serviced, I could join and I did. I paid after my service. He told me about the hot water heater and gave me a suggestion. He was very clear in his communication. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. He gave me options and I listened to him. All in all, I had a great experience with Dion's.

He was easy to talk to, able to explain things well. We were happy to have him. We scheduled another visit after several weeks to finish up the job left (we had to put floors before setting the toilet flange and putting a toilet), but unfortunately, the appointment was abandoned for whatever reason. I had to take an Uber for that day to get to our unit to make sure everything was going well, and nobody showed up at all. I called the office, but they had no one who could come over. Although they did schedule another appointment the next day, I wasted money on that ride. Andrew came over for the second appointment, and he was easy to talk to as well. I would give a five-star review if they did not mess up with the second appointment, but overall, the experience was good, and it was definitely much more pleasant than my previous experiences with a few plumbers. I would go back to them again.
