On one project, things that began straightforward enough turned out to be more complicated, which is pretty common with older homes. He walked me through different options, explained everything clearly, and helped come up with solutions that made sense both practically and budget-wise. They were by far the least expensive of the other companies that quoted the job. JW is a great man and turns out a great electrician! It took about a week to get on the schedule because of them being swamped with work. Very professional and they did a great job. JW sent pictures of the completed work to the city inspector, which made his job a breeze. The DTE electrician was also pleasantly surprised to see that he would not have to terminate any wiring and all he had to do was plug in the meter. I can't recommend JW Shaw Electric enough. 5 stars and now I see why Tesla recommends them for charger installation.

In the process of buying a new home for my family, we had a general inspection of the property and…read moreit was found that the home had aluminum wiring. Our inspector suggested we get a qualified Electrition to go to the house and give it a once over. That evening we called Efficient Electric and spoke to Mike the owner. He informed us that homes with aluminum wiring can be safe if the proper termination points are used. The next day he sent Brian, a qualified Electrition to our house and his assistant and they opened up every outlet and switch, documenting which ones were safe and unsafe. The following day, Mike provided us with a write up and pictures that showed issues that he found as well as a very reasonable quote. Mike bent over backwards to help us out and we are so grateful. He kept in communication with us and answered all of our questions.
