They were very polite on the phone. (Hence, 2 stars) We agreed on an appointment for Tuesday. On Sunday before, I received an email confirming an appointment for Monday. When I emailed back, telling them we had an appointment for Tuesday, not Monday, I was told that Tuesday wasn't available and that according to their records, I was on the schedule for Monday for an arrival time of 9:30-10:30. A little frustrated, I told them I could make it work and changed my schedule to accommodate them. Then I got another email showing an arrival time of 9:30-11:30. Confused again and frankly, a little annoyed, I waited and waited. When they didnt show up by 11:35, I called and was told he was probably running behind. I understand running behind, but we all have cell phones these days. A text would have been appreciated. Other workers have used it, no problem. Not acceptable. I've found that when a relationship starts out like this one did with so many inconsistencies and frustrations, it's best to just find someone else to do the work. read more

I was having voltage fluctuation issues in my 80 year old home, which is still run with BUSS fuses. Lights were dimming. There was not enough power to run the blow dryer or refridgerator. Given the age of the house, and some of the wiring, I was concerned about a fire, at worst, and my appliances burning out, at best. I called 4 electricans on a Saturday morning at 7am (two of whom offered "24/7 emergency services"). Mike was the only one who called me back. Mike was up front about the costs for the service call, and the charges per hour for the technician. No mystery. No surprises. He gave me the option of either paying to have someone come out on Saturday, or waiting until Monday for a lower rate. Within an hour, he had a professional, mature technician out, who went right to work assessing my problem. He asked lots of questions, and ran lots of tests. He gave the impression of knowing exactly what he was doing, and updated me periodically on what he was discovering about my issue. He established that my electrical issue was at the pole, and I called DTE. Having a professional, licensed, competent electrician assure me that my problem was not INSIDE the house was worth every dime. Noonan is the best! I had six different plumbers out to quote a potential panel upgrade and some additional work, and everyone had a different recommendation as to what needed to be done. Noonan's was not the lowest price, but it was a fair price and their recommendations made the most sense. The crew showed up on time, got the work done and charged the quoted price even though the job was more work than anticipated (old house with lots of poorly done work in the past). I had four things done in my home today: a ceiling fan install and mount in a vaulted ceiling, a light install and mount in another room, four outlets installed and fixing another small problem. The guys were prompt and professional. Everything was checked and cleaned up. They didn't create a single hole to repair -- which is always the fear. We requested that Noonan install two ceiling fans and a heat lamp in our bathroom. When the ceiling fans were installed, they were installed on high speed. We were unable to control the speed of the fan. We could only switch the fan off and on. I emailed the owner and conveyed our concern. We did not receive a response. My husband called about a week later and were told that Noonan could come out and install a speed control for the fans at an additional charge. After the initial quote, we waited about 4 weeks to have the install completed. The conversation about the fan speed, how it was going to be switched, etc should have occurred at the time of the quote OR before the installation. We have been advised it will be an additional charge and another service call to complete the installation to our satisfaction. The work that Noonan did was quality but unfortunately because no one took the time to understand our needs, we didn't get what we wanted. read more

After trying that and it not working, we called Noonan Electrical Service. Mike came out the next morning so the service was quick.
