This company overcharges and is not transparent. I had an electrician come and check a single light bulb for ten minutes, and received a bill for $160 a few weeks later. I called to ask for more details about the bill and that is their 'standard service charge'. Unfortunately I will not be using their services again after this experience and would caution future customers to ask about cost upfront. read more

I had a really great experience with Snider Electric. George was a great first point of contact and was very up front about the scope of the work and the "unknowns" when doing a major electric overhaul. The project ended up taking fewer days than anticipated and the fee 100% reflected that. To me, that shows very high integrity (since I am a fairly clueless homeowner). Ultimately, it means I will call them if I have any other electric needs. I should add that they did great work, and the guys who did the work were professional and friendly. I highly recommend. This company is frickin awesome! With the storm we just had, I expected my whole house generator to kick in....it did for 1 minute then shut off. I have my daughter and two grandkids (ages 1 and 2 1/2) staying at the house. It shut off on a Friday at 7:30 p.m. I called around Sat. morning and Snider was able to send George (who was amazing) to look at the generator and get it going again. He was responsive, pleasant to deal with and got the problem resolved super fast. I would highly recommend them. read more

What a wonderful experience I had with this place. I had a unique and complex situation with my driveway lanterns due to the voltage, photo eyes, bulbs and transformers. AJ came out and analyzed the situation and was able to correct ALL the outstanding issues for me to now have working lit lanterns. I am thrilled at the service as well as recognizing the cold weather he and Jacob (who assisted him with the second visit) had to withstand. Diane and George were great support as well. Hired this comment for 2 different relatively large projects including multiple recessed lights, a new over the range microwave hook up, and a charger for an electric vehicles. On both occasions, they provided me with a very reasonable estimate and were courteous and professional to deal with. Of note, while another local electrician tried to add in multiple other projects that were "necessary," this company was honest and said those were entirely unnecessary. They did a fantastic job with the projects themselves, cleaned up the home thoroughly during/after, and explained exactly what they were doing and which products were being installed. No complaints at all! We will absolutely be going with them for every project we have in the future! read more

I needed a new 120 volt outlet to run a room air conditioner, and they installed it in one morning. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and answered any questions and explained what they had done. They are a terrific company and I highly recommend them. I called to set up an appointment to get an estimate for some electrical work in my garage. The secretary was very nice and helpful, scheduled an electrician to come out in a few days. He arrived on time as scheduled, discussed a few things with my husband. Touched nothing. Provided no labor of any kind, just looked around. Fast forward a week later, I get the estimate for the work we need done plus an invoice for $135 for "labor and materials" to troubleshoot a GFI. My husband called to tell them that nothing was done, to which we were sent a new invoice for the same amount which was now a charge for the "service call." I would never have scheduled an appointment for a $135 estimate. I will never use this company. Shady. So disappointed. read more

My husband and I are very disappointed in the the lack of communication and follow through. George was our contact and he was incredibly uncommunicative throughout the duration of our project. Our project was a small camper with a recent solar install which George said he was happy to help us with. He left us hanging for well over a two month period despite us calling and having left a few messages. If he didn't want the job, it would have been better for both parties if he had had the professionalism to just say so. He also took our manuals that we needed for reference for the install despite saying he left them with our camper. He did not complete the install so we moved on. It was so darn aggravating to have someone set an expectation and not follow through. Not to mention we were literally under five miles away from his shop. read more
