Upon arrival, check in at the front and receive your wristband before walking down the hall to the gender-specific locker rooms. Wristbands are how you'll charge any/all purchases, included spa services. Halfway down the hall, there's signage requesting you remove your shoes. From that point on, expect to be barefoot (socks are okay; socks and slippers are available for purchase in the locker room) You're given a uniform when you enter the locker room. The locker rooms and pool/hottub area is clothes-free. Be ready for that. The body scrub was amazing! I still feel as smooth as a baby, nearly a week later. There are several saunas available to try, along with a meditation/nap room, oxygen room, and movie theater. Be ready to spend hours here. It's worth it.

She carefully used the skin protecting balm around my hairline to protect my skin from staining. She also evaluated my previous single process color done at LifeSpa-Northbrook and we chatted on my likes/dislikes. Unfortunately the previous stylist at LifeSpa-Northbrook do not enter colors in the computer system and when I asked the Manager at LifeSpa Northbrook, her idiotic response was: " ...it's like you asking for the formula of a Tiffany perfume!"---Really??!! EXCEPT that formula is ON MY HEAD!! Atorena was very reassuring and explained that a good colorist can evaluate hair and match color very well or even gradually change it if one feels it needs to. She carefully mixed, saturated my naturally curly hair with color and used a plastic cap to cover the hair. The results were terrific. My grey coverage was even and precise without stains on my face/neck/skin like previous at Northbrook LifeSpa salon. Her rinsing off the color and shampoo/conditioning process was very good to ensure no residual color remains on my scalp!---Lifetime Northbrook salon shampooing is a hit or miss making it impossible to enjoy a blowout without an itchy, color ridden scalp! She also said she will enter color in the computer system. Her blow dry was beautiful. She is very masterful with the Round Brush Technique after I showed a photo of how I like volume and bounce at ends. During her blow-dry, she did not pull my hair and it seemed effortless. I cannot believe how great ALL of the staff were to my staff at Jacobson & Tsou Orthodontics from the Chicago office last weekend. Our bosses treated us to a spa day. In which Lifetime offered us the day to use as a membership pass. We not only had an excellent spa treatment, but we also were able to use their basketball courts, workout area, sauna, pool, etc. We were even given complimentary treats after our Spa treatment. The manager from the Spa, Tayag Nikko, was very polite and accommodating for our needs. He went above and beyond what I expected as a non member for this health club. I truly appreciate every staff member at this location and would like to return someday as a member with my staff, family and friends. She rolled her eyes at how uneven it was. Then she did harm herself. I haven't forgotten how you made me feel, Estelle. I've given this the time and perspective since Feb to finally write this review. It's been 5 long months since you disrespected my wishes to grow out my hair by cutting off more than 2 inches in a 3.5-month period. That set me back 4 months of growing time and my hair was shorter than in November of the previous year. She was supposed to cut 1/2 inch. She showed me the amount, I agreed, but then she lost her focus and got scissor happy. Estelle, to say "I'm sorry you're unhappy with the length" is not an apology. You can't apologize for someone's reaction to your mistake. You can only apologize for your mistake. "I am sorry I cut off too much" is an apology. But that's too close to the truth for you to face. I tried to have an in-person conversation with her, but she dismissed me, texting "I cannot have further discussion at this time" and hid behind a platitude that "I take great pride in my work and always strive to make my clients happy". Estelle, get some emotional intelligence. You made a mistake, did not take responsibility, and caused me pain. You got to go on with life while I felt attacked. Despite your veil of "great pride" you are only as competent as your last satisfied customer. After 5 months I am still recovering, I still remember how badly you made me feel. But now I have a stylist who actually listens and respects my wishes.
