Unfortunately, I've had trouble finding a good stylist for blowouts. I went to Kate for many years, but once showed up for family pictures with my daughter. She took a look at my daughter's curls and said she had no time in her busy schedule (at the very time of our appointment), which I thought was really wrong to do an hour before photos. My daughter rocked her beautiful curls for photos, but it left a bad taste in my mouth so 2 years ago I moved on to Ji for my own blowouts. During my most recent hair appt I was running a few minutes late and they expedited my glaze so that I wouldn't be too late for Ji. I went downstairs to find her and she was busy with a client so I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for her. Once she finished her client she rudely turned to me and she was out of time and would have to see me another time. After I complained they found me someone else, but the stylists really need to learn to stick to their schedules and work with the front desk if they need more time. I may continue to go here because I like Marissa, but if so it looks like I'm on the hunt once again for another stylist after color. I would love to walk down the streets to BloOuts, but difficult to time it right and walking in winter with wet hair isn't so fun.

i was going to albert since i was 11 with my mother it was a ok experience until i went blonde i…read morewas dark brown and the process was a 3 month process and it went smooth no damage all done correctly and i was blonde. i came in for a root touch up after my roots obviously growing out for the first time and it was orange. i left and had my roots orange just until my roots grew out again. i came back and i told them that it is orange so when they do my roots this time please fix it because there will obviously be a color banding. im pretty sure 30 vol was used on my roots and it did burn and i told him. his assistant who did my roots this time overlapped the fucking bleach which is so unprofessional and sloppy work. she didnt care and nor did he. i got it washed out and toned. after drying he asked if he could "cut some in the back because its tangled" i said ok and i felt the scissors near my neck. i got it styled and when i was paying and left he said "im going to order you some on the hairline extension its a new thing" i was confused and said ok..? hours after i got home i noticed terrible fucking damage at my roots half of my roots was completely fried off and he hair sprayed it down. along with the damage by my neck is the same deal nothing was "tangled." i was never told about ANY damage or ANYTHING they did to my hair. i trusted him for years upon years losing damn well 15k+ in total due to going to him. he also did lie about the free hair and ghosted me trying to cover up this shady unprofessional business. my hair is still not even to my shoulders where damage was due and this happened back in february. every extension i had fell out along with most of my hair due to damage it would come out in clumps just running my hands through it dry. and wet it fell out in the shower even trying to salvage my hair. this was a terrible experience and betrayal i dont wish this on anyone. do not go here for anything to do with bleach or extensions. very unprofessional and disgusting salon.

Good hairdressers are not easy to find. Nancy understood that perfectly. I met her while I was working. As one of my customers, we got to talking and she mentioned to me that her salon was right across the way from where I worked. Being a hairdresser, Nancy could tell right away that I colored my hair and what kind of work went into it. She could also see exactly how my hair was cut. Hairdressers always know. The trick with hairdressers, is whether or not they can step in and do the same without doing too much to try to impress as a stylist. It's a given that you certainly do not want them to damage your hair either. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Nancy's years of talent as a hairdresser. I am not an easy client. There have been a couple days that I have gone in there and I don't know why I haven't been smacked upside the head with a curling iron! Very few hairdressers can cut your hair to your exact request. For me, Nancy does this every time. She really goes out of her way to get to know your preferences for cut and color. As a single woman, I swear that changes with me every day. I am the kind of woman who gets in moods where I think my hair is going to change everything about me and reinvent me. Nancy has done this with only my vague verbal expressions; which I swear are more of a psychological cry for, "I'm lonely and I need attention," than it is a desire for simple change. As a cliche, I just hate that too. The best part? I still come out looking fantastic!! I have never left that woman's chair unhappy. Nancy is wise and totally that kind of hairdresser you can talk to. I really think she should also be considered a legitimate therapist. She'll never claim she understands how the world works; but I swear she doesn't realize how much that kind of discretion is utilized in conjunction with her life experience. Nancy styles with all kinds of hair. Her clients go in and come out new, fabulous, and refreshed right down to their soul. I see this because I work right across from her salon. Everyone leaves with a genuine smile on their face. I think it's safe to say all of her clients, including myself, love her dearly for everything she does.
