The BEST! Flew in and fit my daughter in last minute. The girls are amazing, prices are outrageous. Hair, nails and brows in one spot. I would come back for brow pillowing in a heart beat. Owner texted me in the morning and we jumped in an Uber.....so grateful. Lovely salon with very talented stylists. Fun to watch the relationships with their regular customers. The best read more

Feeling marvelous! I just got my hair and nails done by the owners, Laura and Anna and ran into friends who remarked how much younger I looked. I always get a great cut and highlights and manicure at Loran. They also have special pedicure stations with built in sanitizers. The only problem is that it is often difficult to get an appointment with Laura and Anna because they are so booked. There are many other great stylists and manicurists here to choose from though. It's a clean, pleasant and honest established salon with clients who have followed the owners to their own shop, Loran read more

Salon Lupo - Beautiful, clean and well kept up manicure side of Loran Salon. - Hair Salons Near Me - Northbrook, Illinois

DO NOT GO HERE! This may be a bold statement to make, but let me tell you something about the owner. I had been coming in there for years, and she is always sitting at the front desk. Never, not ONCE, has she ever looked up and said hello to me, even when I said it to her first. While that may not seem like anything too drastic, the place has always been a complete dump. The countertops are always dust, the floors are never clean. Aside from the woman who used to cut my hair there, nobody was friendly. Seems like the owner set the tone for this. When you come to a place to get your haircut, your nails done (I don't get my nails done) or have any type of treatment, environment truly does make a difference, and this is a pretty negative one. There are plenty of places to go that are better than this one. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself at a place that treats you like a valued customer. read more

This is the place to go to see true hair magic happen. Having super thick curly hair is near impossible to get a proper cut / color anywhere. Here Anna is a magician, crafting the proper color in the back and creating the ultimate low maintenance color and cut that looks really high end for a long time. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Not good customer experience at all : Coming in to find out the appointment had to move to the next day. Actual service provided was just ok. Salon not clean : dusty chair and towel for washing hair smell Never going to bother going there again though read more

Completely Rude. Based on the couple positive reviews, I decided to give this place a call for an appointment. I have been a faithful customer of another salon for over 35 years, but thought I'd see if there was a better Salon to switch to. I asked a couple basic questions about the services offered, pricing, and appointment availability. The gentleman who answered the phone was cold and extremely abrupt - and then HUNG UP ON ME!! Very odd. One would think when a potential new customer calls, they would sound thrilled and welcoming, but apparently they don't need more business. Oh well. read more

Franco is the best! I've never had a better haircut, honestly. At one point I thought he was going too short but it totally isn't and looks terrific doing it myself too. He took time to "understand" my hair and talk to me about my history of hair treatments etc. The salon is well laid out and inviting. I'm so happy I found this new location! read more

Anna did a great braided updo for me today. I have very long hair, and couldn't get it to stay up for me at work. I called Loran Salon at 2:30 and asked if they could accept a walk-in for an up-do. They said they could take me in 40 minutes. Biding my time with a delicious gelato at Arriva Dolce! in Highland Park, I returned to Loran Salon around 3:30. Anna was very accommodating to my indecisiveness/apathy about how I wanted my hair up (all I knew was, "please! please put it up! please make it stay up!"). She suggested braids, and after I confirmed, she rolled with it. She made polite conversation as she worked. I ended up with a really cute updo with a small braid on each side, mixing with straight hair...I look like a chic hippie milkmaid (which I am ALL ABOUT). In all, I was done in about an hour. I don't know the average price for an updo, but I paid $55, plus a $13 tip ($68 all day if you suck at math like me). A little 'spensive, yes. Was I in the mood to be extravagant to myself? Yes. Am I happy with my purdy hair? Oh yes. read more

Really excited to hear about the revitalized look as well as some new staff members. I've been having my hair cut and styled by Annie Gram for years. She's always up on new styles and cuts, products and trends. If you ever need ideas on new products or whats in, shes the one. She'll be busy with her existing customers coming on board so get in line now. Best of luck to all of you. read more

Laura and Anna are the best! I make the drive from the city to see them. I carry Anna's card around with me because I get so many compliments on my hair style. All of the ladies at the salon did my bridal party up-do's and they looked gorgeous! Laura does perfect manicures and is the master of the french manicure - Shellac is available too. I would (and do!) highly recommend Loran Salon. read more

Not sure where Julia V. Went... but Lorane is definatly the best place around! If ur looking for an awesome full service salon, this is the best place around! Laura is the best! Her manicures last at least several weeks for me! The overall environment of the salon is very inviting. Definatly worth the try! read more

Farzy is my stylist, and in all my years, my hair has never looked better. I have long straight blonde hair, Farzy gives me excellent highlights and perfect long layers. I don't know how the other stylists are; however, their clients always look good and appear to be repeat customers. Do not expect to be handed a cup of orange blossom infused organic tea in here, as this is not a chi chi place. It is; however, clean, very comfortable, and there's a friendly atmosphere where you feel like family, and prices are very fair. I drive quite the distance to have my hair done by Farzy, she is worth it. read more

I have been a customer of Franco Lupo for over 7 years. His dedication to his clients is unparalleled. I am in the area for business and drove by the salon in between appointments. I thought I'd go in for a pedicure. I wasn't greeted very warmly, I guess it's hair only which is fine, however the girl made me feel really awkward instead of being gracious. read more

I have nothing but nice things to say about Loran Salon. My wife and I drive up from the city every few weeks for appointments. The services and the people are all amazing! There are a lot of talented people that work at this shop and it's a very well-maintained salon. I was surprised to see negative reviews about it being dirty, because that is far from the truth. I highly recommend this place if you want the best services and being around great people. read more

I love this salon! Franco gives the best haircut and blow out on the north shore! Great atmosphere- not the craziness that goes on in the huge salons. Great personal attention. read more

Doesn't deserve 1 star but had to pick to post. RUN do not walk away from this salon. I've tried it three times (usually my basis for deciding) and each time was worst than the last. The manicurist has been there forever and it shows in her technique. Harsh and old fashioned bordering on painful. Owner is unpleasant, rude and not at all interested in giving customer service, even going so far as to tell me "I don't care if you don't like it don't come here"! Probably why no matter what time i drive by there isn't a car in the parking lot. read more

I was so pleased with my highlights that I had to write a review! I purchased a "wedeal" for Salon Lupo in Northbook and took my changes with a salon I had never been to before. I had driven by this salon before and thought it seemed nice enough. Anna was the stylists name I believe. She was not a huge talker and let me read my magazine most of the time. She did a fabulous job! I have blond hair and she matched it perfectly. She took her time studying the color by lifting up the underneath hair and really looking at the previous highlight job. She also really took her time with the foiling which I think so many people rush through. She matched up each highlight from the one before! Really taking time and precision. She seemed genuinely excited when the color turned out so nice. She came over to the shampoo bowl several times to check when they took out the foils. I will go back to her for sure. I have gotten several compliments already and am very happy. She also did a great blow out and cut. Thanks! read more

Anna did my hair. She did a GREAT job on the color as well as the cut and style. She was careful and good at her job and a delightful young woman. The salon was clean and orderly. The shampoo girl was sweeping up the hair almost before it hit the floor. I had a coupon so it was very affordable but I'll go back even without a coupon. It more than met my expectations. Thank you Anna! read more

Although I've never been here for hair-related services, I have been coming here for years for one of Nadya's fabulous facials. I've had many facials over my lifetime, including several at price-y, high-end spas, and no one has ever even come close to her expertise. The price is very reasonable, and her technique is unmatched. Try one...you'll be hooked. read more

Anna does an awesome job -- been doing my hair for years -- the only person who really got it right.

Not happy today after going here for almost a year and always charging on my Amex the owner said to me nope dnt take it I said since when I have used only Amex and she called me a liar I showed her in my app from my phone that I did it she said a mistake!!! She wouldn't budge I wrote a chk and wont be back!! Kind of sad because farzi who I do go too is amazing. I didn't like that she didn't believe me even when I showed her. She should of taken the card today and said going forward we dnt take Amex. I did look up and they say on there websites and other advertisements credit cards taken it does not say no Amex! The outcome I'll find a new salon... I dnt understand that there is NO customer service anymore! This was the owner very sad! But there are salons on every corner... read more

Hard to find but worth the effort. My hair is very difficult to cut. it shows every scissor line and I am a perfectionist. Lucky for my Anna is too. The salon is immaculate. Hair is swept before it hits the ground. Julie gives the most relaxing shampoo. I have been a client for more tham 10 years and would highly recommend it. read more
