Renee is a fantastic stylist. She understands my fine hair and styles it so that it looks full. She's very efficient and is able to do my cut and color in a reasonably short time. I've had compliments from strangers on my hair! read more

I actually don't usually go to this salon, but I had a big event coming up and needed somewhere to get my hair and makeup done that was open early in the morning. I did a search and came upon Gordon in the Glen and they were absolutely fabulous!! I went in for a free consultation and got connected with a hair stylist (Jocelyn) and makeup artist (Joanne), and scheduled a trial for each. They were both so professional and understanding! They listened to me and we agreed on some changes for the big day that was approaching. Jocelyn and Joanne even came in extra early on that day so that I would not be stressed about the time frame. They made me feel calmer and beautiful, and ready for pictures and the party! Thank you so much, I will definitely return to Gordon at the Glen!! read more

Allorah was great! I have curly hair and she took her time to style it. Happy with the way she layered my hair as well.

Great salon! Friendly staff. My first salon change in 25 years and I made the right decision!

Outstanding service! Got full color and cut with Allorah in the Glenview Salon. Thrilled with the results and it was fun. Highly recommend.

i've been going to Renee for years she is very thorough and talented . She is just great!

Gina does a wonderful job with color. I have regular touch-ups of roots, and today she also did a pull-through so my hair looks refreshed and rich in color to kick off Fall . She listens carefully and is warm and friendly. In addition to Gina, the Gordon team members I've known over 25 years and 3 locations (Dale, Tony, Pam, Holly, Antonia, Gina) have always been skilled, attentive, and friendly, offering thoughtful, educated recommendations for my hair cut/style/color as well as best products to use. read more

The salon is well-run, staff is gracious, and Holly is a highly skilled stylist as well as a lovely person. In all, a great experience.

Love Antonia. I have been going to her for years. She is great with color and cuts. I highly recommend her.

I love Gina! She's the best. She highlights my hair and tones it to match my extensions perfectly. She is always warm and kind-hearted. The salon itself is clean and beautiful. The price for the service is reasonable and comparable to your typical highlighting service. Overall, I love my hair and I love my hairdresser. I will keep coming back! read more

Disappointed by Lack of Follow-Up and Communication! I initially had a positive impression of Gordon Salon in Glenview when I went in for highlights. However, I was disappointed with how things were handled afterward. Right after the appointment, I called to say that the highlights looked too dark on top and that I needed a few more added. Unfortunately, they were fully booked with an event on the only day I had available before traveling out of town. I spoke with a staff member named Taylor, who kindly suggested that I could get the highlights adjusted while I was away, since we couldn't fit it in before my trip. She also offered a special conditioning treatment for my next visit, which I appreciated at the time. However, since I was in Asia and concerned about the language barrier at an unfamiliar salon, I ultimately decided not to have them redone while I was there. When I returned about a month later and called to follow up, another staff member told me they don't address any color issues after 2-3 weeks. I explained the situation and the offer Taylor had made, and was told they would talk to her and get back to me. I never heard back. I followed up myself with four more calls and left messages, but no one ever returned my calls--not even to tell me they weren't going to honor the offer. It's really disappointing. The team was friendly and accommodating at first, but the lack of follow-up and communication afterward left me feeling dismissed and unvalued as a customer. A simple call back--whether to say yes or no--would have made all the difference read more

I just received an amazing hair cut again. I started seeing Antonia when she was an emerging artist back in 2017 I think. I've gone to her closer to every other year. I don't cut my hair frequently and have never like a stylist before. She is the first person to get my hair. Every hair cut is perfect. I love Gordon Salon because of the service level. I feel respected and valued. They give you a head massage, which I'm always in desperate need of. And hand massage. They check in to make sure things feel alright. Highly recommend!! read more

Damien is helping me hide my grey with lots of almost white blonde highlights. Having naturally black hair, I never thought I could have hair this light, but I LOVE it. Also, I got this sassy modern cut, which was a huge change from my big 80's hair. I get so many compliments. Damien is an artist with a vision and makes miracles happen. read more

I've been wanting to switch up my hairstyle for awhile, but I kept getting nervous about moving away from my usual blunt cut. I finally decided to just book an appointment with Josie at Gordon Salon and hope for the best. I honestly couldn't be happier! From start to finish, I had an excellent experience at Gordon Salon. I booked online and then the receptionist called to confirm my details as a new client. She was so friendly and walked me through the covid screening process. The Glen can get busy, but Gordon Salon is situated right next to a large parking garage so it's easy to find a spot. I was starting to feel nervous as a walked in, but I was quickly put at ease once I met Josie. She's so friendly and really took her time to figure out what I was looking for as a new haircut and style. She gave me recommendations and explained different products to help me achieve the look I wanted. I absolutely love how my hair turned out. I haven't been able to stop smiling since I left! read more

This is a really nice clean salon. Especially during Covid, the salon practices safe distancing and pre-checkin on your phone. They also take your temperature and give you a clean robe to wear upon entry. I felt very comfortable as they only let a few clients in at a time and we were all far distance from one another. They were also sanitizing everything ie;chairs, tables etc... I had a root touchup, pull thru, cut and blow out with Bree. Bree is an excellent hair dresser and does a phenomenal job. Bree is very personable and meticulous on getting requests done right. Bree also offers her opinion if you're not sure. I went with her suggestion for hair color variation and it came out even better than what I imagined. Her cutting skills are spot on too. Considering I hadn't had my hair cut since February, she did an awesome job getting me ready for the holidays! Ask for Bree as you don't be disappointed! This is my new salon now. Aveda products is the added bonus - need I say more!!! read more

This review is for the front end staff. I was stuck at work in another state and called an hour and a half over my "24 hour" window and they refused to budge on the $10 charge and she was not polite. Never going back! To bad because Rene was awesome. read more

She has made every special event of mine extra special and I appreciate her work! I have attached below just some of the amazing work she's done for me. Including dying my hair with blonde ombré and styling it in an intricate up do for homecoming and installing extensions in my hair for my high school graduation. I needed a nice haircut for my wedding. I am not really a haircut type person. But when i booked with Robin I didnt regret a thing. I told her to just do her thing and boy she did. I was the freshest hair cut I've had. 10/10 will come back. read more

THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD (0 stars). They completely RUINED my long, healthy hair by bleaching it all over, and I wasted 10 hours of my life. On top of it all, I had to PAY $150 dollars despite the fact that they PERMANENTLY RUINED MY HAIR!!!!!!!!! I've spent the past 16 hours CRYING AT HOME about the damage. I came in for a balayage with money pieces; in fact, I had come in a week early for a consultation to confirm that they can perform a balayage and give me a price. The stylist sat there and lied to my face, saying she can perform a balayage when she's clearly never done it. The salon just wanted to exploit me because I'm a college student. In a matter of 8 hours, she BLEACHED my entire hair. If only I had pictures of how horrid I looked before her manager came and started to "fix it". It was yellow with black roots, when I asked for a balayage. The pictures shown below are after the attempted "fix" for the horrible job; my roots are still ORANGE, my hair is 4 disgusting different shades all throughout with HARSH lines and NO blending, and my ends are brown (when they should be LIGHT in a balayage). I spent 3 years growing out my hair and investing in high-quality products from Sephora, for them to ruin it all in 10 HOURS. And I still had to pay for this DISGUSTING SERVICE. My blood is absolutely boiling about what they've done to me and I BEG everyone to never come here. On top of it all, the lady at the register had the NERVE TO ASK if I wanted leave a TIP after they utterly destroyed my hair. This was supposed to be a balayage, and I ended up miserable with destroyed hair. After all this, I was still forced to pay this revolting excuse of a Salon for the "products used" to bleach and damage my hair. read more
