Visited the Josie Nail Spa salon and did a deluxe pedicure with basic OPI nail polish. They have a wide color selection along their front wall and the colors looked 'fresh', I didn't see any bottles with the separation in them. The salon itself was very quiet, no music, and the TV was on closed captioning so it's definitely great to meet friends here and have nice conversation. I had an appointment and was started on time and they did not rush me out of the comfy massage chairs. I wish I could afford to come here more often! They did a really nice job and my feet feel great. They do provide some incentives of a point program and they do send texts to offer 10% off for your birthday. read more

The quality of the services are mediocre at best. To top it off, they don't have a price list and charge you based on however they're feeling that day. They have charged friends double for the same services with no explanation. Stay away from their inexperience and unethical business practices. read more

I hesitated to give this review (first time ever leaving a review) but it is extremely frustrating to pay so much for a dip manicure and have it turn out so poorly. Especially when it's hard to find the time to actually get them done. I will say that if you request the right person it may be ok. I had a horrible experience from the beginning. I believe the person who did my nails was new so I was/am trying to be understanding. I'm the person that never speaks up while getting my nails done so it takes a lot. The shape was messed up, three of my cuticles were cut (with blood) and there are black specks in several of my light colored nails, I had color on several fingers that I had to scrape off at home. I didn't say anything. The final thing was one of my nails was not sealed so I finally said something. Another technician was great and she filed and resealed all of my nails. Today is Sunday, I had my nails done on Wednesday and one of them is already coming up on the back and my hair is snagging on it when I try to wash/brush/style my hair. This doesn't usually happen for a couple of weeks, if it all. Overall, it was an awful manicure but I do really appreciate the technician who tried to fix what she could. She's the reason I feel bad writing this review. So maybe if you choose your technician it wouldn't be so bad. read more

I used to love coming here before Josie sold the spa, she always had baking shows, and soft relaxing music. The new owner of this salon did a pedicure for me with no polish and it was so rushed, it honestly felt like she was mad the entire time. This was an uncomfortable experience that was meant to be relaxing. I came 2 x after Josie sold it to give it another chance but this was my last time. Got a no chip manicure from these people that chipped the day after. When they did my Pedicure, they only used the warm towel to wipe off the cold lotion they put on for 1 second. While the staff at Josie were very nice, that's about the only positive thing I can say about my experience there. I received the most painful manicure and while I know that it's possible to accidentally get cut, I've been left with cuts all over my fingers that are far from standard when getting a manicure. I have never seen a manicure look this awful, nor be as painful. In general, the salon looks dingy, needs updating, and felt dirty. Very disappointing because I live close by and always try to support local businesses. They are very nice women in there so I hope they read this review and make necessary changes. read more

This place is my jam. I am addicted to dip manicures and I will never go back to no chip. My nails are so long and healthy and they never chip or break (unless I smash one in a washing machine door ). My nails grow very fast but usually they look great for up to 4 weeks! I have been coming here for almost 2 years, every month like clockwork. Paige does my nails and they look amazing. I get so many compliments on my nails no matter what color I get. Paige lets me mix colors to make some sparkly colors, but honestly they have so many options sometimes it is hard to decide. Salon is very clean and they always have Netflix on to watch. They are frequently busy though so I recommend making an appointment in advance. read more

The service provided here is amazing. I made a last-minute appointment to get a full set of acrylic nails with no chip towards the end of the day and they were very accommodating. Joe V's Staff stated specifically while taking off only ONE nail of polish that I did not have to pay for it, I specifically stated that I do not care to pay for all of it even the removal of such an awful manicure...the kind lady staff member stated again that I did not have to pay for any. I kindly went back to the lady that did my pedicure to give her a cash tip and said thank you politely, and then walked toward the front door. Not one of the staff including Joe V, the owner, acknowledge my departure especially after refusing to take the rest of the nail polish off and telling me I did not have to pay. I have no problem paying for any service including a shitty service, mind you even tipping one. As a medical professional that works in surgery, all instruments used near the nail beds or on skin that are sharp objects such as cuticle nippers, should be probably sterilized and packaged individually after each use on a customer, or else you are risking an infection. Cheap service for cheap service. Good luck for anyone that attends and I hope you do not get an infection or an improper manicure like I did from the owner, Joe V. I can not attest to the other 2 other lady staff members, as they may do a nice job. If you are paying for a service, and you are not happy, the business should be willing to make the customer satisfied. At least remove the nail polish when one is not happy is sufficient. The fact that he would not remove the nail polish, tells you how poor the customer service is even when the customer states they will pay for it to be removed due to their awful skill and service. I can't believe there was no warning that Josie sold. I made an appointment this weekend and when I called, the young woman just said "hello" and didn't identify the salon; I had to ask if I had the right number. I tried to make an appointment with Lynn. And they said she didn't work at the salon any more, but Connie was available. I made an appointment for a no chip and pedicure at 4 pm, then they called and said they had to bump me to 5:30 pm. They called back at 4:30 pm to say Connie would be done sooner and they could take me at 5:00 pm, but when I arrived, they said Connie was too tired. I walked out. Josie could have had the courtesy to her loyal customers to tell us she was folding up shop. Bad business practice! read more

I had an appointment at noon today. About two hours before my appointment, the salon called and said my nail tech was no longer there. That was weird, but I accepted someone else doing it. When I got there, there was a banner saying 'under new management' and only one person from the old staff was there. What really annoyed me was the fact that they called, but did not bother to inform me that it was under new management. I don't appreciate being treated like I am stupid or just a number. I got my nails done here (full-set) about 2 weeks ago, they did not last for longer than 5 days. I called to inform the owner that they were all falling off and asked if she could fix them, with hesitation she answered, "so what do you want me to do fix them?" I said yes and then I asked if I could come in that Tuesday, she said "okay I have a 5:30". That week Monday I called saying I could not make it can I come in any other day that week, Josie ended up telling me no because she's booked this whole week. Today I called off of a different phone number asking for a service to be done acting as if I was another person, she gladly told me that I could come in tomorrow/ make a appt today for tomorrow, which mean she was not fully booked this week. Moral of the story Josie clearly thought I was trying to get a free service and did not want to do it for me, when in reality I was going to get a pedicure & a full set and was not expecting anything to be free! I was respectful when I told her on the phone about all of my nails falling out within a week (I got dip powder and they should have lasted longer) I will not be ever coming back here not to mention I think my skin color played a part in her not wanting to do my nails. I'm sure a lost of one customer will not do her any damage but I just wanted to share this. Reply to josie: When I called I asked "Hi is this Josie?" You said yes. So that means I talked to you. You are telling lies in your response to this review. I have never wrote a review about something to get anything in return. I'm simply pointing out something that is not right. Best dip manicure I have ever had! Nail tech took her time (and it did take longer than other places I've gone), but well worth the extra time. I had my nails done on June 16 and here it is July 14 and they still look fabulous (other than the out growth but using a soft pink hides the growth). But what I really like is that they took the time to smooth the top edge so that when the nail grows there is not a big ridge. I have been to other places nearby and the color started to peel after a week, but after going to Josie's, mob nails are still shiny and smooth Josie's is a busy salon (now I know why!) so make an appointment if possible read more

I have to say this place is amazing. I found them on yelp while I was at work and decided to give it a try. They were quick and honest about the choices I was looking for at first. They suggested I try sns dipping nail polish. It is like acrylic/gel nails but without the uv light and harsh nail filing. My nails literally grew healthy and not breaking like acrylic/gel nails do to my nails! I love seeing my natural nails grow I am definitely loving this place and love that they take walk-ins! Overall, I would say that my experience here had good parts and bad parts. I'm very particular about my nails. The owner was wonderful in helping me choose a color and in making sure I was scheduled. My nail technician was ok but my entire no chip manicure/pedicure took a lot longer than I expected and someone else had to finish. I'm very particular about my nails and noticed that there was nail polish on my skin and the edges weren't clean. Also, during the no chip process, my nails weren't dry and when the technician went to put on another coat, they smeared and she blamed me for it even though my nails were in the LED light machine the whole time. Due to this, she wiped off that layer, but after that, the nails did not have clean edges and it just looked sloppy. After coming home, I realized this. But like I said, there were good parts and bad and the other people around me seemed to be having a good experience. I just wish I was one of them... read more

I was referred to this place by a friend and I'm so glad I came in. This may have to be my new regular. Salon is located in strip mall next to Jewel so parking is not an issue ever. Salon is on the smaller side and I'd say this salon is more in the basic side. Not too much ombré going on or fancy shmancy designs although pictures and reviews show otherwise so I could be wrong. Customer service is amazing. Super attentive and kind people. They even asked my name. I got a pedicure and it was one of the most relaxing pedicures I've ever had in my life. Massage was AMAZING. I had a mani pedi. Tech was rude and bothered that she was booked at the end of day. Pedicure was swept over no clip, one file stroke and harsh rude exfoliation. I noticed she was uncomfortable and asked if she was in pain. Maybe a long day? I was patient realizing sometimes people are having a bad day. Manicure same approach. My nails are short and she did not even bother to file or shape. She used the electric buffer used removing or shaping acrylic nails to remove cuticle. My nails were burning! She made two fingers bleed. I asked what are you doing that hurts! She said you have remnant from a no chip. I haven't had a no chip in 1 year! This was her way of getting the job done without any effort. She began to polish and I asked aren't you going to shape my nails? She said, oh there short but I can do it. How do you file nails after polish is applied? A joke! My nails look like my 7 year old did them. My nail beds are sensitive peeling and red! I don't have time to have rude techs and bad treatment. No one does! Owner will probably claim I'm a competitor trying to post a negative review to harm this business. No! You are harming your own business by not addressing issues clients have.
