I really enjoying spending the full day here. I had some work to do; it was nice to hang out in the…read morecafeteria and common areas with my laptop while still relaxing. When work was done, it was easy to store it in the assigned locker room. Upon arrival, check in at the front and receive your wristband before walking down the hall to the gender-specific locker rooms. Wristbands are how you'll charge any/all purchases, included spa services. Halfway down the hall, there's signage requesting you remove your shoes. From that point on, expect to be barefoot (socks are okay; socks and slippers are available for purchase in the locker room) You're given a uniform when you enter the locker room. The locker rooms and pool/hottub area is clothes-free. Be ready for that. The body scrub was amazing! I still feel as smooth as a baby, nearly a week later. There are several saunas available to try, along with a meditation/nap room, oxygen room, and movie theater. Be ready to spend hours here. It's worth it.

While the prices have gone up, the level of service has gone way down…read more I scheduled a scrub for 6:45. I was told there would be a 10 min delay, and to wait in the pools, but I was ready to get out of the pools... I was verging on pruned and overheated. I told the scrub scheduler that I was going to get some dinner and a massage and would come back afterwards for the scrub. She began bullying me, saying it was although it was her fault I had to wait, changing my appointment would throw off her entire evening schedule. I told her to stop trying to convince me of something I didn't want. I wasn't canceling; I was rescheduling for later. I was going for a massage and food, then I would return for the scrub. I left the locker room and went for a 1-hr Reflexology massage. Halfway through, a massage scheduler who was clearly sent to find me by the scrub scheduler came in shouting my number (that the scrub scheduler had given her) and blurting out times that I must pick for the scrub. It was unexpected, loud, disruptive to me and everyone else receiving a massage. The times she offered wouldn't allow me to resoak before the scrub, and I knew it would hurt. I picked the latest choice offered, 8pm, and she left. When my massage was over, I was left without any time to eat because the scrub scheduler made it that way. When I returned to the locker room, the attendant was shouting at me: TALK TO THE BOSS! YOU NEED TO SCHEDULE! 8 O'CLOCK! 8 O'CLOCK! I told her: "Stop yelling at me. She already had someone interrupt my massage to yell at me. I'm already scheduled. You need to stop." The attendant apologized. I went to soak for 10 min before the scrub, and it wasn't enough. I have abrasions from the scrub. When I was ready to leave, I attempted to do exactly that and walk out. But the scrub scheduler wanted to apologize -AND- she wanted me to accept her apology. I had zero interest in talking with her and made that clear. She got in front of me and wouldn't let me leave. So I walked past her and told her to leave me alone. Her behavior--faulty scheduling, bullying, sending another staff member to interrupt my massage to get me to commit to a time, her locker room minion rudely and loudly attempting to corral me into scheduling when I'd already done so, then harassing me when I was trying to simply leave--was completely unhinged and it ruined my night. I told her about the interruption during my services, and she only apologized more but wouldn't stop begging me to accept her apology. I yelled at her twice to leave me alone. When I got to the front desk, the manager, Tony, was not there. Justin took notes about the awful evening I had. I was not guaranteed and kind if follow up. I was charged the full amount. In the last 6 months, I've had multiple REALLY BAD experiences. Food poisoning from contaminated fresh fruit (don't eat the watermelon, and no: they never deducted it from my bill). Forty minutes after consuming only the cut up watermelon, I was puking in the trash can at the re-entry into the Women's locker room. You can still see the vomit splatter on the wall behind it months later. Then I was puking in the bathroom. Only watermelon and nothing else... very clear what the source of my sudden illness was. I was asked if i was ok once. At no time did a manager come to see me. Although I certainly did leave my number, no phone call from our friend Tony, the manager... unclear what he manages, though. Not Customer Service is what I can surmise. Another visit featured two massage staff without clients using the treatment room as their break room to loudly gossip and tell jokes while other staff had clients. This has happened multiple times, and sometimes they have addressed the masseur who's working on me, who then pauses to chime in, deducting focus and time from the service I paid for. What's the point of having a separate room with a door for treatments if they're noisy and not used for the intended purpose of a spa? Which I think is to relax. Not relaxing listening to other people's loud conversations. Likewise, the new PA system freaked me out. Hearing an unexpected and booming announcement in a male voice when you're in your birthday suit in a vulnerable setting is extremely jarring and not relaxing. My expectation on the Women's side is WOMEN ONLY. It's hard to relax when you are startled by something so unexpected and that makes you think you might not be safe. Although I've been going to King Spa for more than decade, I am not going back. Just terrible. Rude and aggressive staff. Ridiculous prices for the level of service. And multiple sanitation problems: cross-contamination of their food -AND- remnant vomit splatter on the wall. Super disgusting.

This review is for Hair Stylist: Atorena at the LifeSpa-Old Orchard hair salon…read more This was my first visit here with Atorena and she was very good at her job as a colorist/stylist! She carefully used the skin protecting balm around my hairline to protect my skin from staining. She also evaluated my previous single process color done at LifeSpa-Northbrook and we chatted on my likes/dislikes. Unfortunately the previous stylist at LifeSpa-Northbrook do not enter colors in the computer system and when I asked the Manager at LifeSpa Northbrook, her idiotic response was: " ...it's like you asking for the formula of a Tiffany perfume!"---Really??!! EXCEPT that formula is ON MY HEAD!! Atorena was very reassuring and explained that a good colorist can evaluate hair and match color very well or even gradually change it if one feels it needs to. She carefully mixed, saturated my naturally curly hair with color and used a plastic cap to cover the hair. The results were terrific. My grey coverage was even and precise without stains on my face/neck/skin like previous at Northbrook LifeSpa salon. Her rinsing off the color and shampoo/conditioning process was very good to ensure no residual color remains on my scalp!---Lifetime Northbrook salon shampooing is a hit or miss making it impossible to enjoy a blowout without an itchy, color ridden scalp! She also said she will enter color in the computer system. Her blow dry was beautiful. She is very masterful with the Round Brush Technique after I showed a photo of how I like volume and bounce at ends. During her blow-dry, she did not pull my hair and it seemed effortless. She used products for a frizz-free finish and shine. I received so many complements! Both in and out of the LifeSpa Old Orchard Salon... Thank you Atorena!

I cannot believe how great ALL of the staff were to my staff at Jacobson & Tsou Orthodontics from the Chicago office last weekend. Our bosses treated us to a spa day. In which Lifetime offered us the day to use as a membership pass. We not only had an excellent spa treatment, but we also were able to use their basketball courts, workout area, sauna, pool, etc. We were even given complimentary treats after our Spa treatment. The manager from the Spa, Tayag Nikko, was very polite and accommodating for our needs. He went above and beyond what I expected as a non member for this health club. I truly appreciate every staff member at this location and would like to return someday as a member with my staff, family and friends. Thank you again for a memorable experience that will go in the books forever!

The strip mall this is attached to is very ran down, which could discourage some customers. The inside is decorated in stereotypical Asian spa-style. Not luxurious. The wait was short and we went back into one of the rooms. By no means would I call that a "deep tissue" massage. It was relaxing and felt great, but I could have used a deep tissue massage (as that is what I paid for). I would consider going there again for a less intense massage though. The staff was all friendly, though I have a $20 to guy that did my massage and told him that he would have to split with the guy that did my husband 's (all I had in cash was a 20), but he just stood there looking confused.
