Had a full body massage here today, it was my first time so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say I absolutely want to go back. I didn't catch the name of my masseuse, but she was magical. I can't wait to go back! read more

Experience was mediocre and reasonable pricing. We were put in an ice cold room and it was slightly noisy

I was around Evanston area and was looking for a massage place that can do deep tissue and not charge a lot. I found this place and they only charge $70 for a full hr. Diana was my masseuse and she was very nice and check on me if I need to adjust pressure anytime to let her know. The place was clean and easy to book off Fresha app. Definitely a spot I will go back too if ever I'm back in the area. read more

let me tell you readers about myself. i will never EVER waste time out of my day to write a yelp review unless its really worth the time. you might be asking well why in the actual world am i leaving a review now? well since your reading this far your a smart little cookie because when i tell you NEVER LET THEM TOUCH YOUR HAIR UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BALD. WHEN I SAY BALD I MEAN BALDDDDDDDDDDD. i don't think there's a more painful way to go bald then this. let me tell you i walked out that appointment losing minimum 100 strands of my luscious hair out my head that will take years to grow back. i don't know what type of secret recipe bs massage technique they use but they need to keep those techniques a secret if they still want to have a running business. i had a SOFT back massage scheduled but this female with the grip of JOHN CENA started to handle my head like it was made out of metal. i walked out the appointment like i had just got canon blasted into a metal wall incoming head first. it's been more than 24 hours since my appointment and i'm on 1000 mg of ibuprofen. will that do anything to help my head? if you said yes then your wrong! it feels like i have bruises all around my head and it keeps getting worse by the day. i like to use natural remedies to cure pain but ain't nothing natural fixing this. i don't believe in seeing doctors but tomorrow might be the day that i go and see one. i will say ONE nice thing since im not a terrible person... they do a really good job with the back massage JUST as long as they don't touch ur head you will probably have an amazing experience unlike me read more

I seriously love this place. And I almost never feel so moved I need to write a revie... I am a massage therapist and always looking for high quality bodywork. I deeply need this kind of medicine to be able to continue caring for my own clients. I have had several sessions here and they have all been very good. luckily, I was assigned to Sofia about a month ago and have come back weekly for 90minute sessions. She has the gift! she is incredibly skilled and nuanced in her work. Sofia has a healing quality of touch and presence that is rare. Highly skilled and unfussy. Ease and deep attunement. Sensitive to my mindbody as a whole. relentless in the problem spots, but in the most skillful way! I am blown away by the amount of care she can fit in to 90minutes! Bless Sofia and Mongolian Massage Lab!!! please tip generously! the prices are very low for the amount of skill and dedication these therapists have!!! read more

So I book this place for my wife $133 for 90 mins 20$ down for online booking then have to pay 113 at the spa but no the lady told my wife it's $153 so my wife had to pay $123 instead of $113 plus tip she didn't want to argue with the lady since she didn't speak good English and would not come back ever again read more

I'm a little sketched out by my massage experience. My girlfriend bought me a gift certificate, so I came here. When I arrived, I was greeted by about five women, so I was surprised when I was assigned a male masseuse (Tom). The massage was going very well until towards the end. Tom took the blanket off of my left shoulder and then he told me to turn over (from laying on my front to laying on my back). But I was topless, and with the way he had moved the blanket, it would've exposed my breast when I turned. This seemed deliberate because of the way he pulled the blanket down right before telling me to flip. I told him no and asked him to focus on my lower back and he sounded surprised. But he complied. I wonder if this is the same masseuse B.A. described in her review as "handsy." The ladies who ran the salon seemed nice, however. They allowed me to plug in my HEPA filter in the massage room for COVID safety. If you decide to book here, I recommend you request a woman masseuse. read more

This is one of my favorite massage place ever! I was hesitant but I was so sore and in pain and they were able to take me in the same day. The masseuse catered to my needs - made sure the pressure was right and she asked me which areas she should focused on. I love how attention to detailed she is. Best massage and you can't beat the price! read more

The best place for massages! I would recommend making an appointment ahead of time because they do get booked pretty quickly! I've had a couple of different masseuses, and they are all excellent. The massage prices are also pretty reasonable, and you can add a few other things for free. If you pay with cash, it's also cheaper. I highly recommend the Mongolian massage spa! read more

Just visiting in the area, and was full of aches. They fit me in right away for a Swedish massage, and the masseuse (Soko? Was too relaxed at the end to be sure of her name, taller woman) found all of my problem areas without me telling her. Really skilled and would recommend her. Prices are affordable, especially for the quality of massage. Only thing I would say is the head hole on the bed was a little more uncomfortable than I'm used to. I maybe wouldn't recommend coming for your first ever massage since the communication was limited, but if you know the drill this is a perfect spot. I'm not in this area often, but would absolutely come again next time I'm in town read more

PROS: -the table was heated, which was a nice touch -the massage was really deep, which I wanted -an hour was an full hour -I got the promotional price of $70 bc it was my first time -parking is easy CONS: -the therapist didn't understand English well and misunderstood me several times -instead of a "donut" extending off the table, there was a pillow over a hole in the table, which raised my head and made my neck hurt -the therapist didn't put a bolster under my ankles, which I've never experienced. I had to ask her to do so. Otherwise there's too much pressure on the knees -if you pay by credit, there's a $3.00 charge Because of the language misunderstandings, I don't think I'd go back there. read more

Mongolian Massage Lab - The pillow on the table lifts your head and can strain your neck. I'm accustomed to an extension off the table, which can be adjusted. - Massage Therapy Near Me - Skokie, Illinois

The massage place was clean and well-kept. The first half of the massage was fantastic, but during the second half, the therapist spent too much time on my feet, which felt more like filling time rather than focusing on my needs. Additionally, the therapist was 10 minutes late, so my session ended up being only 50 minutes long. I also found it odd that they have a mandatory minimum tip of $10--if it's required, it doesn't quite feel like a tip. read more

HORRIBLE! A day before our massage scheduled, we called them and get a reservation. We told the one who answered the phone that we gave the names of the ladies to gave our massage and told them if the ladies will not be available, please tell us or call us so we don't have to waste our time to go there. But when the time we were there, my wife make it sure and gave the names of the ladies that will give our massage and they said yes there available and we told the guy in the front desk we would like to ask for the ADDITIONAL THING *Hot compress for me and Cupping for my wife. We waited more minutes than the scheduled time they gave. When the time we were in the room, the other lady who's assigned to massage me wore mask and the other lady was not wearing a mask. So we wonder why this lady wearing a mask. When the time they started massaging I figured it out that she's not the one who i wanted to massage me and she didn't even ask if what's my additional service I wanted. She did the cupping thing that I didn't ask and that's the result on my back. They lied to us twice already. The first one, they gave me other masseuse, a guy, and it was very uncomfortable to me. They lied to us twice. read more

So apparently when you book a 60-'minute massage appointment over the phone and specifically request cupping, you hafta remind them when you get there. Don't be a jerk and just assume they wrote it down. And when you point out during the massage that you requested cupping, they try and push you into a 90-minute. But don't worry- when you mention this to the cashier and they notice their error, they'll still charge full price, make zero consolation to correct said error AND automatically add on a $10 tip without your permission. Don't bother. read more

Our couple's massage was wonderful! The room was very clean when we got there. The women were very nice and kept asking if the pressure was good. I would leave a 5 stars review, but I didn't like how we were treated when paying. The only thing I didn't like was when I wanted to leave a tip lower than what they wanted/recommended, the lady pointed to a sign that said, "recommended tip for 1 hour massage is $10." You should NOT be pressuring customers to leave the amount of tip that you'd want. I think that's rude. No other massage place comments on the amount of tip someone should leave. It's called a tip for a reason. read more

Went for the first time today and was very happy way the experience. They fit me in right away for a 90 minute complete service: deep tissue massage, cupping hot stones, the works. Despite a language barrier, I felt that my masseuse was very attentive and paid attention to my requests. I came in with a migraine and got my target areas hit. The deep pressure was good, I can also always take more that ppl can give, but I was satisfied. Migraine is better now. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend! read more

Repeat Skokie customer here. Love it. Just gifted a massage at new Chicago location and everyone was happy.

They are very professional! Reasonable pricing. And the place is always spotless clean, esp the restroom.

This place is a hidden gem! Drove past it a few times and always wondered where it was, well It's hidden behind the Starbucks! I was a bit skeptic given the location, however, it did not disappoint! The staff is all female, the massages are fairly priced, felt clean and cozy and the massages were amazing. Definitely Going back and I'm very picky about my massages! They used hot towels and stones on the basic massages. Oh and warm Oil! Many places use just lotion now for whatever reason so receiving the warm oil was bliss! read more

WOULD be a 5 star review as I've gotten over 3 massages here in the past month and all were amazing however on my last visit last week, I decided to bring a friend with me. He got a younger masseuse and he was telling me after how she was taking during his entire massage and wasn't doing a good job. Apparently she told him she has a boyfriend from Iraq but she hates Muslims. As a Muslim I won't be returning even though this was one of my favorite spots I've tried yet. read more

Mongolian massage is seriously the best massage place I've been to in my life. Time and time again, they take care of me, heal my spirit, soul, take my worries and stress away. I have been going here for 6 years and I still look forward to the next time I can receive such a wonderful massage again. Their signature full body massage has hot stones, hot towels, oil, back, neck, head, arms; You name it, they do it. They play calm music and the ambiance itself is relaxing. The service is always stellar and they are very sweet and kind. I seriously cannot recommend a massage place more then I can recommend mongolian massage. Do come here if you seek relief from a stressful day, life, ailment or need a little soul healing. Mongolian massage will take care of you! read more

This is the best Massage ever. I got a deep tissue from Bela? When I walked in the room I already liked the smell. She got right to the point and asked where I needed the most. This woman kicked my ass! I'm definitely going back there again! Btw, I gave her a cash tip. Apparently they don't take ,I had the manager call me and refunded me my tip and down payment that they usually take when I got charged. Amazing service! Highly recommend! Going back again for sure! read more

I'm sitting on the swing on the porch of Mongolian Massage after I have learned how to use muscles I haven't in a long time-- welcoming my core like an old friend. My shoulders are the most relaxed they have been in quite some time. It is a clean, professional, and masterful command of the art of massage. My thanks deeply bows to Nora. read more

This place is still over 5 star worthy years later. The place is also sanitary and everyone who works here is really nice. The cost has gone up but it's clear on the website ($70 today, can pay via Zelle, $3 additional if by CC). Do tip. The massage is balanced throughout. They check in on pressure and includes hot stone and warm compresses still as well as scalp massage. Initial oil is odorless which I love to get a great fundamental massage and then when turned over to the front the oil or cream is something peppermint based that left us feeling so relaxed. This is my go to place and I recommend it to everyone. read more

Jessica was wonderful. Soft voice, gentle with her hands yet firm with her elbows. She used just the right amount of pressure and often checked in and asked if the pressure was okay. She zeroed in on my tight shoulders and neck and almost worked away my many knots. It was my first massage here, so I was not expecting the hot stones. At first I thought it was some kind of hot liquid like oil. A little warning would have been nice, but once I realized what it was, I was able to relax again. The room I was in had 2 massage tables, but I am guessing that the masseuses' schedules did not line up because my husband and I got different times and different rooms, even though he made both reservations at the same time. If you pay in cash, they give you the "member price." A sign at the front say that the recommended tip for a 1 hour massage is $10. Feel free to give more, of course. Since they are located so conveniently in the Skokie Swift building with plenty of parking, I am going to try to come more often, maybe monthly instead of annually! read more

My favorite place to get a massage EVER. They're so nice, affordable and I always leave feeling relaxed and glad that I spent my time and money here. To give you a frame of reference, I've had a massages from my chiro's office and another place in the northwest burbs. Additionally, ranging from hole in the wall places to nicer spots in Thailand and a fancy resort spa in Cancun, but this place topped them all. I was stretched in all types of ways, I've never had hot stones, that was freaking awesome, the cooling menthol rub, and finally, someone who's not afraid to use some pressure! Every time I thought it was over, the masseuse surprised me with something else! It's normally $60 for 1 hour, but they're running a special for $50 for 1 hour. The spa is squeaky clean. Faint smell of bleach (which didn't bother me, but only made me feel safe the place was clean) and the linen was soft and clean as well. 2020 has been a stressful year, treat yourself and keep this small business open! read more

Schedule an appointment by phone and don't show up early. The doors will be locked so that the massage therapist can peacefully finish her session with her previous client. Should you arrive early, you will have to wait in the unattended lobby, which is not the most comfortable area. If it is your first time at Mongolian Massage Therapy, be aware that the prices posted on the website are the prices for first visits. ($60 Swedish) Subsequent visits, you will receive a "members" price, without having to pay any membership fee. ($45 Swedish) *I might be wrong. Another Yelper said it's $45 if you pay cash, regardless of first visit.* The massage parlor is very clean, beautifully decorated and furnished in all white, and appointed with robes, sandals, towels and bottled water. The lovely white massage room is lit with a Himalayan salt lamp, giving the room a warm pink glow. The massage bed is heated, making it easy to relax, even though you are about to let a complete stranger touch you. The massage therapist is skilled and has soft but strong petite hands. There may be a language barrier and some difficulty communicating what you need and where you want her to focus. I came in with lower back pain. The therapist paid a little attention to my problem area, but shied away when I winced. She was not able to alleviate my pain. However, the rest of my body feels great. She used a light, odorless oil, fingers, palms, fists, elbows, forearms and hot stones to deliver a nice Swedish massage. I was very satisfied with my massage experience, even though the therapist could not fix my back. I'll be back to take advantage of the members discount. read more
