My experience with Trek Movers was extremely frustrating and exhausting. I will note that the movers themselves were wonderful and made the best out of a bad situation. The biggest issue seemed to be with management. They were supposed to arrive between 2-6pm, but they didn't arrive until nearly 8pm, as it was getting dark. They didn't finish until 2am!!! I wonder whether the job took longer than expected because they were clearly exhausted from a long day, trying to navigate and assemble things in the dark, and making every effort to not receive a noise complaint. It was a local move from a 1-bedroom apartment with almost everything packed up and organized, and I even let them leave most of the stuff in the garage of the new place instead of hauling things upstairs at that hour. The most upsetting part was that they were unable to get my couch inside. It was an inch or less away. I think it should be possible to fit based on the measurements, even though it's a complicated job. In order to make this right, I would appreciate if they could come back at another time during daytime hours and try again. There was some confusion over how much I owed. Dave told me over the phone that to make it right, I could pay whatever I felt was fair. The moving team had not heard this message and instead offered me a 5% discount. I asked to pay the 3-hour minimum rate. I ended up being charged about double what I expected to pay after dealing with all of this hassle. I paid it because I was tired and didn't want the movers themselves to be shorted in any way for their hard work and long day, but I want a refund from the company. When I booked Trek movers, they clearly knew that the day I chose would be busy. I wish they didn't schedule me at all, so I could go with a different moving company that had actual availability! I think they took on more jobs than they could manage in a day, and I got screwed over because of it. read more

This was the 2nd part of a move from Belmont to San Francisco and Trek made it effortless. The 1st part in July 2022 I hired the WRONG moving company (J****l) and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Wish I had hired Trek first. They were everything you would expect a moving company to be. Professional, quick, careful, knew what they were doing. They took all the stress out of the move which is huge since moving is so stressful. The first company caused quite a bit of damage and George patiently pointed out what should have been done to prevent it. The rest of team - Batraz and Sego were also excellent. They handled my heavy pieces with ease. I highly recommend them! read more

Trek Movers - George, Sego, Atsa and Valeri after a long day of moving! - Movers Near Me

Trek Movers was the most professional, kind, and helpful movers I have ever hired! They were punctual, on time, great with communication, handled all my items with care, and helped critically think when items wouldn't fit through doorways (they hoisted my extremely heavy couch through my top floor balcony because it wouldn't fit through the doorway). I panicked thinking I would have to go rent a storage unit on my moving day (it does not disassemble) but somehow these 3 amazing guys (Jerry F, Dima, Batraz) made it happen! They came prepared! They never complained, they were fast and speedy (despite how much crap I had, and they helped me pack). One additional thing that you can trust with Trek movers is they will go STRAIGHT to your location. No 2-hour long lunch breaks like other moving companies! I left 10 minutes after them and they beat me to my new place! No overpriced travel charges with Trek! In addition, their service prices are more than fair. I will hire Trek Movers for all of my needs in the future! read more

When my daughter needed to move to her new home, I had no hesitation in booking Trek Movers to do the job. We had previous experience with Trek that was nothing but professional and positive. Everything from the initial inquiry to the booking to the move itself was handled with the utmost care, incredible efficiency and professionalism. Our two movers were George and Atsa and they were amazing!! The move was a bit challenging and the weather was miserable (hot and humid) didn't matter they got the job done and that included the assembly of a few pieces of furniture. I will absolutely recommend Trek to anyone that is in need of their services. read more

Alex coordinated his crew of 3 to both pack and load my two bedroom & one bath house in the Bay area in one day (roughly 10 hours), and then Alex, himself, drove the moving truck all the way to Washington state. That's 700 miles! He worked with a different, local crew to coordinate the unloading, making sure that I was happy with the placement of everything at my new location. Both crews were very pleasant and professional. No one smoked (which I have had other movers do in the truck!) and nothing was damaged in either house. There were no hidden fees; I simply paid the flat rate I was quoted. This was the easiest move I've ever made. I highly recommend Trek Movers! read more

Jerry + team helped us with our recent move and we were very happy with their work! We moved from a 3 story 3 bedroom townhouse to another 3 bedroom townhouse with 5 flights of stairs - not easy. They arrived on time and swiftly moved /reassembled all of our furniture. Jerry + team were extremely professional, friendly, and were working hard the entire time. We could not have done it without them and would highly recommend Trek Movers SJ! I was even able to get in touch with Jerry after we were missing some small glass panels (practically invisible/easily overlooked) and were able to get them back despite their very busy schedule. if you are like me and guard your identity and who can text you do NOT use trek. as soon as i filled out the form for a quote in which i said email was my preferred way to communicate i got two text messages saying they had opened a webpage for my inquiry. sorry, but the ASSUMPTIONS made by businesses these days really annoy me. i don't use apps, i don't use qr codes. i don't use my "real" name online because i am a survivor of domestic abuse. i don't give you permission to text me just because i made 'first contact'. you've lost my business. read more

Trek Movers is a dream to work with! They make moving less stressful with their professionalism and competence. In March 2022, I called James for a quote on a 2-day move from San Jose, CA to Reno, NV. He walked me through their process and why they were better than other vendors. And he was right - I had a dedicated team of workers packing me up and the same team who unpacks me. My dedicated truck showed up when it was promised and nothing got lost in transit. I was especially impressed with Arthur who was my lead moving guy. He was professional, courteous and extremely competent at his job. He made sure that my brand-new hardwood floors weren't scratched when moving anything to any room. The care and attention he took was simply amazing. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

Overall the guys did a good job - our stuff got from point A to point B in one piece and we didn't have any issues. My biggest complaint is that they took FOREVER to move us out of our little one bedroom apartment. We packed everything ourselves and took apart furniture we thought would be necessary to take apart beforehand to be sure it made the move fast and we wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg. The guys managed to take 3 hours just to get the stuff out of the apartment and into the truck. Again... everything was packed up for them and furniture was taken apart.... When we moved ourselves last time it took us an hour and a half to get out of the first location with just me and my fiancé... We paid way more than we budgeted for which SUCKED. I tried to get the guys to hurry up a bit because they seriously broke the bank with how long they took. I understand they're diligent in making sure nothing gets damaged, but just know if you plan on having them move your stuff it'll be around $1200-$2000 even just for a one bedroom. We paid about $1200 but if we had them take down our furniture and rebuild it I could see it easily adding up!!!!! The guys were super nice - no beef at all... just wish it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. read more

My experience is quite different from the rest. I think it's important to share it, and then you can make up your own mind. This company was not as forthcoming with me concerning the expenses I would accrue based on the details of my move as were needed. I was told in a text to expect to pay around 600 for the move. For a one bedroom apartment, I paid over a thousand dollars. It took the movers 6 hours, plus 1 hour travel time. Now, it's imperative to note that my items were pre packed. It took them 4 hours just to put my items in the truck. I was concerned about all of this, so I sent a text to my contact. The manager, Andrew, called me. He was extremely rude, giving me a physics lesson to help me understand the effort involved in moving items into a truck, then back out. I wonder if he would have spoken like this to me had I been a man? Maybe it's best to look elsewhere. read more

I used Trek movers to move my 3 bedroom home from the Bay area to Nevada. The first thing that surprised me is that they didn't use any type of inventory system for the boxes. Last move I did with a different moving company, every item that went in the truck was numbered and documented so you were sure you were receiving everything on the other end. This wasn't the biggest deal, but definitely made me worry that something wouldn't arrive. When we got to our new location, the help they hired locally were not very good and needed constant guidance from myself or the one guy they sent who was in charge. Unpacking is where I found the most issues. They packed our belongings and honestly I'm surprised most of my stuff survived. All of my glassware, including crystal glasses that were my grandmothers, were packed with a single piece of paper wrapping them. Then all of the glassware was just stacked in one box. Luckily only one glass was broken. They also took my artwork, some cheap internet purchases, but also some more expensive nicely framed pieces and just put two pieces facing each other and wrapped them with plastic wrap. No bubble wrap or cardboard was used on any art. My last mover used both on every picture. Again, everything survived, but there were some scratches. Overall my stuff made the trip, so it's hard to be too critical, but I personally wouldn't use them again, especially if they are packing your belongings. read more
