Great CA to NJ moving experience. 3 bedroom home. Everything went right. We got the same lady when we called leading up. You pay for the whole truck, so it arrives in 5 days, your items aren't loaded and unloaded multiple times, the foreman is the same on pickup and delivery, and the rate is flat (not pay by weight). The 3 movers showed up at 9am, as expected, both times. After a walk through, Arthur, our foreman, said they could do pack and load in the same day (other movers tried to get us to let 2 guys pack and load a 3 bedroom place in 1 day and we canceled that). The movers were nice and listened to all special instructions on both sides. Now the negatives. We had a musically instrument that was not packed extra carefully, but it arrived fine. They charged my card an extra $600 before getting my authorization, but they explained the next day the valid reason. read more

Great experience with Rainbow Movers. They were flexible, reliable and got the job done! I would highly recommend them for any move job. We had an office move and needed someone to move our second floor office to a new building. The catch was, the elevator may or may not work. One other moving company cancelled on me after hearing that our elevators were broken. The other one I contacted gave me a ridiculous quote including overtime for the weekend. rainbow movers were just so easy to coordinate with. They were quick to respond and followed up quickly. They also turned around a certificate of insurance to us quickly since our landlords required them. I know they do city to city moves as well, so I would consider them over one of the bigger moving companies that might rip you off. We're super satisfied with the crew! read more

I was very happy with my first move with Rainbow, but my second did not go as well. I'm not sure if they have changed owners, but the service I received was not the same as the first move. First, the movers showed up without masks, which was really frustrating. While they might be vaccinated, it's still polite to wear a mask (or ASK!!). They were not very friendly, but that's fine; if you're looking for customer service, then I don't recommend. After everything was over and done with, I examined my items and found that three things had been damaged. They did not mention any of this to me. They also placed VERY heavy items on a vintage night stand -- which caused one of the legs to chip and crack. Was it worth the money? Meh. I'll go with someone else next time! read more

If you have extra money to waste DEFINITELY call Rainbow Movers. 1) The pricing quote you receive from the Rainbow Movers does not mean anything (they priced my one bedroom apartment for $477 and at the end they made me to pay $1000!!!). They just want to get people's business and at the end they will be charged more than double of the estimated pricing. And they never get back to any of your emails or concerns!!! 2) God knows what kind of routes their movers take that it took them double the time of whatever Google Map said. And GUESS WHAT Rainbow moving company get double driving time (so multiply that by 2!) At the end they asked me to email their CUSTOMER CARE, which I am not even sure if that exists. But, it has been more than a month and they have not got back to any of my emails (I sent them three emails) ! They were so responsive when they wanted to close the deal. But, now they do not even care to reply back to their customer's email. read more

I really wanted to like Rainbow Movers The good parts are - they moved all our stuff. We had a bunch of stairs and they handled it really well - they handled some tricky parking situations very well. The bad parts - Broke my tv during the move. After 1.5 months of making me talk an external claims department, they offered me 30$, which is pretty insulting. - There is some damage to the walls in the stairwell - The truck was not big enough, so more than one trip had to be made. This ended up costing us more I understand things break during moving, but I definitely don't feel nearly satisfied with how this was handled. read more

Arthur and Rustam did a fantastic job with my move -- it was one of the most seamless, stress-free experiences I've had moving ever. Both of them were incredibly conscientious and kind while moving. They were also incredibly speedy! I was moving into a house with nicer carpet and they genuinely didn't have to do this but took the time to slip off their shoes every time they moved a piece in so my carpet would stay intact. I had a fabulous experience with Rainbow Movers, and I highly recommend them! Starting with the initial phone call, Justin helped walk me through the quote and was very transparent about their pricing. I appreciate that they charge a flat price per hour, which includes a 3 person team and some moving supplies with a 3-hour minimum. When it came to my move day, Vladimir and his crew arrived promptly on time. They took great care to do a walk through with me before they started loading stuff into the large truck. They brought a ton of supplies like moving blankets, furniture wrap, and (my favorite) wardrobe boxes, which made packing my closet a breeze. The team was incredibly careful with my stuff, but also fast and efficient. When we got to my new place, they were very helpful setting up everything where I wanted it to go. All in all, it took 4 hours on the nose to do my move. The general rule with moving is that you ALWAYS have more stuff than you think you do, and moving ALWAYS takes more time than you think it will. At first I got off to a rocky start. when I first hired this moving company (from all of the amazing reviews) the first set of movers were subpar and I was not very happy as it took 5 hours just to load my 1 bedroom and didn't even get my things into storage before closing. As I expressed my frustration to Matt he was VERY understanding and wanted to do whatever he could to possibly turn my situation around and make me a happy customer. The next day Matt and 2 movers moved my stuff into storage in just 20 minutes. EXTREMELY HAPPY CLIENT, as I was not charged for that time. Today I had movers Matt and Borris move my things from my storage unit to my new condo. They were there promptly at the time we arranged and moved all my things from the third floor of the storage building into the truck in the parking lot. I then met the two of them at my THREE STORY condo where they were both SO FAST i couldn't even believe it. They worked diligently and took extra care to not touch or bang my freshly painted walls and placed everything in the exact places I asked them. I think these two men were the best movers I ever had. They made sure that all my items were properly covered and well paded. Nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged. They even took my bed apart and put it back together again at my new place with no extra charge. This company has great rates.. Only $65/hr for 2 men + truck. Most places are at least $85. Also they had an amazing yelp deal $20 for $40 credit which I took advantage of. I highly recommend this company but most of all I recommend those two young men, GERALD AND FRANSICO !!! I hired Rainbow Movers for a whole house move on the last Friday of the month (during Easter weekend). Little did I know how popular that day is for moving! After placing numerous calls to various moving companies, Rainbow Movers had no problems providing us moving services. Our 3-man crew were Tommy, Adam and Zhaxybayeva (sp?) and each one is professional, courteous & extremely careful in wrapping furniture & belongings. Not only was I pleasantly surprised by how quickly the crew loaded our entire home, I was thoroughly impressed that all of our furniture & belongings arrived safely and intact. Important items were either shrink-wrapped or wrapped with shipping blankets. There wasn't so much as a scratch on a single item! The contents in our closets were placed in wardrobe boxes, then removed and rehung in our new closets! The closets, alone, saved us considerable unpacking time. Our large dining table, beds and office desk were disassembled and then reassembled. Rainbow Movers are the real deal & I would not hesitate to rehire this company & highly recommend them for anyone demanding high-quality moving services. These Gods among men (Joe, Rex and Tommy) blazed through the move with precision, speed, and not a single complaint as they took my 4-slot Neo Geo arcade machine (400+lbs) to the living room. They wrapped the cabinets, shrouded large glass and worked with a purpose and powered through the boxes, bags and various furniture in just 4 hours. Very professional, prompt and overall I'm thoroughly impressed with their work. Even better, they have a sweet little Yelp coupon which I highly recommend, especially if you plan to pay by credit card (there's a small fee for cc payments). I called these guys on Sunday evening and was greeted with a very pleasant operator who scheduled my my appointment for Monday morning at 8am. At 7:30am they called to let me know they were on their way and at 7:50 Vio & Roman arrived outside my Office and then assessed the situation. By 8:30am they had 5 desks, a sofa and two rugs packed up and ready to run up to my home office in the hills. My new place has a really difficult spiral staircase up to a lofted sleeping area that the bed needed to go up, and they handled it like a boss. My fiancé booked an appointment about a week in advance with no issues. The day of, Andre and Dragosh arrived promptly and were able to clear out our apartment in about an hour. They were super quick and super friendly. They have the coolest accents too. Our new apartment was a bit inconvenient to navigate, but they didn't mind at all and moved everything in quickly. If I could give a ZERO I could. Jordan was my initial contact and Jim is the person who came to the house to do a visual of all of the pieces. Jordan was minimally competent and Jim was very nice and seemed to be competent. Jordan called the day after Jim was at my home and I asked how the costs would be broken down. I asked about 3 categories: Truck(s), labor and packing. He said Jim did not include packing in his report and Jordan would get back to me. Why I did not get a full on estimate including packing is because Jordan said Jim did not indicate we were wanting them to pack us up. That was a red flag and he said he would call me back. After a full day he didn't call (another red flag) so I sent an e mail asking when I would get the full on costs of the move. A few minutes later Jordan called and said Jim said my husband said not to pack our stuff. LIES!!! My husband NEVER spoke with Jordan or Jim, my husband did not have anything to do with the communications to or from Rainbow movers nor any person from there. LYING is unforgivable. You don't wanna do business with me, say so. You can't move people from California to Arizona, say so. LYING is reprehensible. I'm a HUGE advocate of hiring movers. Moving SUCKS! What sucks worse is trying to con your friends into moving all your junk in return for a case of beer and pizza. Just what everyone wants to do with one of their days off! Anyhow, they were very easy to schedule, were right on time and were flexible with me on my 'start' time when I found out that my storage unit was not open until 30 minutes AFTER they were supposed to start. The guys did not mess around. They got everything in and out quickly with no breaks. I was scheduled for 4 hours but they got it done in 3, WITH the double driving time. My only reason for 4 stars is that the boxes were all put in the living room and not in the appropriate rooms. That's my pet peeve. I would hire them again. These movers were used by a friend of mines twice last year.... so I got to see them with her move first. Let's just say I used them and will again if need be. I paid for four movers as I had a LOT of boxes from a three story townhome to be moved to a four bedroom house. They were very efficient and more importantly did not BREAK my household goods! They gave me a 8 to 10 hour window to complete the job and did it in 8. I have many horrors with several movers over the last 20 years or so and these were the best. read more
