    Very helpful!

These movers were very good. They arrived on time, we're professional, and very responsive. I HIGHLY recommend them. I will definitely hire them again for my next move!

    Gym rack, awesome movers

Southwest movers were super efficient and fast! They were on time, very gentle with all my stuff and incredibly easy to work with! The guys were friendly and nice and very attentive to all my requests. I had a ton of gym equipment including a half rack and they were able to move everything. Thank you so much for making my move easy and painless. You guys are AWESOME! Highly recommend!!!

Okay/bordering negative experience, a bit on the expensive side but the lack of hassle in the move was nice. Point A to point B; three major issues: small scratch on the paint when climbing stairs deep enough at destination that it won't go away, my living room side table was completely shattered (broken in four pieces), and my 75" tv they were supposed to crate they clearly picked up and manipulated by the feet which deformed the bottom side of the television. I realised this only after they left. Currently En process of filing claims. Cost me 1200 dollars for full move including packing (no unpacking) for 6 hours and a crew of three from Santa Clara to San Jose. With the tv damage, that's already 1200 dollars I could have saved.

    Clean, empty apartment!

Santiago and his crew were great to work with. Moved us from San Jose to Sacramento faster than I've ever just moved across town. Thank you guys so much for making this move easy!

Satsuma dragonware; single layer paper wrapped with 6 total dishes in same wrap. Two broke. Pre-ww2 Geisha set; very difficult to acquire.

My husband hired Southwest movers to handle our move. I listened in when he made the initial appointment. "We live in a small apartment and moved down from a large house, so there is a LOT of stuff in a small space. We will need packers for this move." Apparently, the movers did not come anticipating having to pack. And the person who made the appointment did not relay that we knew we had a lot of stuff and needed help. They called in a 4th person... but... let's just say I'd trust my goddaughter, a toddler, to do a better job of packing. It began with unloading the dishes. I used to have a nice set of west elm dishes. Most of the set is now in fragmented ruins. (It was $350 worth in dishes... I think I have like $75 of the set left. RIP reactive glaze stoneware preciouses. You were good to us.) The druzy agate unicorn? It had been tossed willy nilly into a box without any wrapping at all. (Hint: this was an anniversary present from my husband. It is not a cheap piece.) I found a $2,500+ dollar museum stone carving made of lapis lazuli in the junk pile at the old apartment along with several other gifted stone horse/unicorn carvings, important documentation, and a bunch of broken things from where they'd taken my bookshelf and dumped it onto the floor, including several crystals worth hundreds of dollars a piece. I'm fine with junk clutter being left at the apartment. I'm even fine with movers going "We aren't comfortable moving this stuff." I'm even okay with "Oh shit, we accidentally broke the floor to ceiling mirror in the bedroom, sorry!" (Husband didn't notice the mirror was broken until long after they were gone... as then I asked him, the next day, 'why is the mirror broken?') His signed hockey stick? Buried under a pile of junk. Open groceries put into the same bag as caustic chemicals and heavy duty cleaners? Check. I haven't found the rest of my Satsuma dragon set; the tea pot, the creamer, and the sugar bowl somehow survived, but the fate of the tea cups... not good. I have thrown out so many broken dishes, some of which are heirlooms, that I can't even. The Satsuma set is very difficult to replace, as it was purchased in Japan at the start of the occupation by US forces during world war II. These can't really be replaced... I have the pieces of the dishes, but I lack the skills to do the repair. My husband will be reaching out to the company to see what they're going to do about the heirloom pieces and the gifts that just cannot be replaced because they're unique. Sure... there are other druzy agate unicorns out there, but none of them are that exact one! In the photo with the paper-wrapped rectangle? That was where I found the Setsumas. The rectangle is a large, antique horse head bookend. It was resting on top of fine china. It's no wonder so much was broken...

Every experience I've had with this company has been professional, efficient, and stress-free. I especially want to recognize Roger and Anthony. These two are absolute beasts. We had an extremely difficult move with multiple stops, heavy furniture, tight spaces, and a very long day. They never once sat down, took a break, or slowed their pace. They worked hard from the moment they arrived until the very last item was unloaded, all while staying positive, professional, and taking great care of our belongings. What impressed me most wasn't just how hard they worked--it was the pride they took in the job. They hustled all day without cutting corners, communicated well, and made what could have been an incredibly stressful move feel easy. If you're looking for movers, stop searching and book West Coast Moving. They sent two wonderful guys who were so efficient and hard-working. We were not able to finish everything in one day so I requested that they come back the next week for another session of packing. Both times, they arrived exactly when they said they would and brought all the moving materials in their truck so I did not have to pre-buy anything. I even needed special boxes for artwork and wine bottles and they provided those as well. I thought the price was very reasonable for what they did. I was not able to use them for the moving truck because I am moving out of state. (However, the owner said he would soon be getting the out-of-state license so that will be a service that is available in the future.) I'm happy to provide my highest recommendation for this company and the people who work there.

Finally getting around to a kudos review of Lunardi Moving Services…read more Executive Summary: Pros all the way. That said, the details: We were recommended to Lunardi for our short distance move within San Jose by friends who had previously contracted with them for their own local moves (Silicon Valley). We had them move our "packed to the gills" 1400 sq ft home plus loaded two-car garage to a slightly larger home about 2.5 miles away from each other. Initial price quote was a bit higher than a couple of the other companies contacted but felt it was worthwhile and still reasonable given that they were a "friend-recommended" company. Our final payment amount did come out a bit higher at the end of the day but that was due to OUR adding more to the load than what I originally told them that required a second round trip. On top of that, we had them haul away and dispose of a number of large items that we decided to not hassle with selling or otherwise disposing of ourselves. (Large cabinets, desk, chairs and more.) The moving crew was on time, started right in as soon as they got to our place and took extra time being VERY CAREFUL with our more fragile items (and honestly, items that weren't even what I would have considered that fragile). Meaning: they went over and above by plastic wrapping and padding things that I personally would have just thrown in a truck! Special notes: They also moved our baby grand piano, taking care to disassemble the legs and top, wrapping everything with padding and reassembling perfectly at our destination. When I moved a dozen years ago, I had to have a specialty mover move the piano so this was a definite plus!! And, on top of that, they moved a very large "crafting cabinet" with swing out doors (that contain integral storage making it double deep) and moved it into its destination room whose entrance hall way and door was barely wide enough to fit through and required a very tight turn/maneuver to get it in! I had walked away from watching them in the tight hallway (see pic) to do something else and when I returned less than five minutes later, it was in the room exactly where it was supposed to go. I was scratching my head wondering, "How did they do that?!" But no matter, they did! They were also careful in making sure that related items (like TVs and their remote controls or tables and their legs) were bundled together and securely affixed to each other so it minimized our having to look all over for items that went together. That was much appreciated. All in all, they made our move very smooth and efficient. If I were moving again - which I NEVER want to do again, haha! - will call Lunardi first. Special shout out to Daniel Navarro, our "moving consultant" at Lunardi for being prompt, courteous and a pleasure to work with. But, have to say that everyone on the crew were excellent! Yup, pros all the way!
