One of the better things we've found since moving to Camarillo. As a native Angeleno, it was difficult adjusting to the still life in Ventura county. One of the biggest obstacles was finding eateries we enjoyed. Safe to say we have found our permanent coffee fix. This coffee shop is unique in the decor and art work from local artists as well as the delicious coffee and treats. My favorites are the ube latte and island latte made by Jasmine! Shes super sweet and makes our drinks perfectly every time! Although, all of the employees are still great! read more

I loved their wall of their custom drink menu. I ordered the wild flower, it was great. However, and it's a big however. Service is the worst. I am the manager at a coffee shop in another city and I would hate if any of my employees would offer this kinda of service. Firstly, I walked in and no greeting, good morning or hello. I walked up and asked for recommendations and alternatives for non caffeinated drinks and it was just blunt and "no we don't" period. I ordered the cheesecake and it wasn't that given to me, but even before the transaction even ended, the guy who helped me just walked away without saying anything, no "you are all set", no "thank you", no "your drink will be at the end" He immediately went to go talk to his friends , l didn't want to be rude and interrupt his conversation. so I just stood there, waiting for my food for about 2-3 mins until he came back and finally gave it to me. The employees had a group friends there and I think a girlfriend was hanging out. They kept talking, instead of wiping the tables that had crumbs and trash, organizing the tables that were completely disheveled. Also no one had aprons or anything to distinguish themselves from being a regular customers to actual employees. So I had no idea who to order with, or to ask help with. Tree Lounge Coffee is a new cozy coffee spot in downtown Camarillo. They offer coffee, tea and pastries. I stopped in for a quick coffee and latte. Upon ordering, I noticed fresh croissants. I can never pass them up and the barista indicated they were freshly baked, so I had to try them. The coffee and the latte were both good. I am a no fuss black coffee drinker and felt the coffee was well roasted and not too bitter. My husband enjoyed his latte and noted how smooth it was. The croissant was carb heaven. Just the right amount of butter that leads to flaking goodness. I would definitely recommend. I enjoyed taking in the local art they had hanging on the walls while waiting on my order. Was looking for a small business coffee shop on our way to the Zoo and this place was perfectly placed. Stopped because of convenience but will absolutely be back because not only was the coffee amazing but staff was funny and helpful with some small banter and their protein donut (10g) was chef's kiss delicious with pretty minimal ingredient in it! I ate it before realizing I should have snagged a picture wish it was bigger. I got the "brown bear latte" without cinnamon, so a brown sugar latte. I'll probably remove this if I get an answer. 10am, there's 2 tables occupied and done, 3 young employees, 2 boys goofing around, 1 girl in a laptop. Most of the tables have crumbs, chairs disorganized, the big table where we seat down still has the 3 cups and napkins from the previous guests. It just seems like the employees job is to be behind the bar and clean up or attention to guests is not in their minds. Or maybe they're just taking a mental break and they had a rough morning before we arrived. I Don't know, but if I walked into my business like this I wouldn't be happy... The place is nice! I wish there was more food options and not just cookies but it does require more work... more labor work.. read more

They serve Beacon coffee which is really good but they don't do our overs fresh, each cup. I just went in and my coffee was like warm- when I asked about it they said "we can brew a fresh batch, this was from about 7am( it's now 9am)! Surprised they don't do single cup pour overs except by request for an Americana. Will give it a few more try's... read more

It feels like I walked in a shop in LA, but without all the craziness of going to LA. The vibe is amazing, the art selections are amazing, you wont regret going! I love this place, I come here a lot. However, I'd like to make a friendly suggestion if that's okay :) Perhaps staff should get into the habit of cleaning off the tables... there are always smudges, finger prints, and crumbs on all the tables every time I come in here. Pretty sure I've never seen a clean table in here before. Also, the place needs a good sweeping/mopping on the regular. There is a ton of dust and cobwebs collecting underneath furniture and in the corners and it's starting to feel a bit dirty and dusty overall. Still 4 stars for the drinks, but when staff is free, perhaps they should up the sanitation/cleaning duties in the overall store. It would be much more pleasant of an environment. Again, I love this place and everyone is nice and the coffee is great. Just something I've noticed on the regular! read more

That was the selling point for me as we quite frequent them at their wholesale location in Ventura. What. A. Difference with just basic customer service experience. I am all in favor of supporting small businesses but idk if they know how to do it. It really is quite disappointing as the interactions between staff and customers is just not ideal. No, greeting. Coffee and cookies are delicious, local art is cool. But the service... oof! Walked in on a Monday not super busy. Barely a hello. When it was our turn to order the barista (who was working alone for a couple minutes before a 2nd person walked in) didn't even do a "be right with you," and walked away from the register as soon as we walkes up. When the gentleman walked in from looks like supply errands, didn't acknowledge us either. Almost five minutes had passed til he finally went to the register, and not even a "Thanks for waiting," or a "sorry for the delay." The vibe in your coffee shop would be so much better if the staff acted like they care about what they do and who they help. I've worked retail (in management) for over twenty years, and I get it... working with the public isn't always that fun, but you have to remember if the people you want to support small businesses to come back to you... maybe let them know you appreciate them showing up. And a simple "Hi! We're a little short staffed, but we'll be right with you!" Or something like that goes a long way. read more

Cool coffee place in downtown Camarillo. If you are heading to the outlets and need somewhere to hang out for a bit this is the place! I got their house brew. When I walked in for my first time I was impressed by how cute it looked from the inside. Staff immediately greets you! Which is something that always stands out from this business... I wasn't so sure what to order and an employee recommended the KONA ICED COFFEE now it has become my favorite.... Their coffee is truly amazing, great flavor and not too sweet!
