I happened to be in Camarillo for an early appointment and I didn't have my morning coffee at home yet. Popped in to get a hot one. The cashier was nice to tell me I had a 50% off deal I could use that would expire today. Hello and thank you!! Great service and great drink! I am watching the calories these days so I got a small flat white with almond milk and a little sugar free vanilla powder. Yum!

The coffee bean is a popular chain coffee and tea business in California and I've been long overdue to leave a review for their Camarillo location. I'm not one to regularly review chains, Especially multiple locations, but since this one is local to me and the one I've come to the most, I felt I owed them an updated review. This location is easy to access off the main road so that's convenient. The current location is undergoing a lot of construction which can be a pain but it's no fault of the coffee bean and despite the construction, they are open for business and have plenty of signage and tape to block off where you can and can't drive in their parking lot. Just be mindful that it's a construction zone and be extra diligent. Last time I came here I found some nails near the parking lot which would have sucked for all of our tires. That was the last time but when I came today, thankfully the area was well kept and seemed safe. The staff here at this location are always 5 stars in friendliness and attitude in my opinion. I frequent this spot because it's the most convenient but I also appreciate how nice everyone is. I came in this morning and a lovely gentlemen range up my order and was very friendly and kind. Small interactions like this can make your whole experience worthwhile. They whip up your drinks fast here and it's appreciated as I can get in and out quick. The drinks are standard and typically my go to is their vanilla iced latte or really any of their seasonal or regular fruit teas. Their teas are definitely some of my favorites compared to their competitors and their vanilla for the iced lattes remains supreme. I would skip their matcha as for me personally, it's too bland and not how I prefer it. Some of the cons, for me, is that this location doesn't have a drive thru. Would be so much more convenient if it did and hence why I don't stop here as much as I could. Also coffee bean is getting a little pricy. A regular sized iced matcha drink was close to $7. That would be the price for a large at their competitors. I'd rather support local mom and pop businesses but when in a pinch this one does come through. The friendly staff will keep me coming back and I appreciate that the inside is spacious and clean.

A group of four of us walked in there today to get a caffeine boost to our Saturday Morning garage sale shopping. I didn't know I was traveling with some spoiled coffee drinkers. One was talking about "almond milk" while another was asking for an "extra shot of..". I didn't understand what they were ordering but the employee (Devon?) did. He was even hyping up their choices. All I heard was gibberish and giggling. He was very nice and complimented many of our choices. When we received our drinks my group got quiet after they said "mmmmm" and mumbled something about the drinks being good. That silence was worth the price and I will definitely be back.

Fast service and super clean location. Tried the enlightened iced ube coconut cream latte for the first time and really enjoyed it. Good coffee and coconut flavors and the ube cold foam wasn't overly sweet. I prefer the lower sugar options and this one hit the spot

Stopped by. Tons of construction and remodeling going. Actually the entire shopping center is getting a face lift. From the huge coffee chains .. I love Coffee Bean. I very rarely step foot at the Mermaid one as their coffee is always burnt tasting. I love the matcha here so much I bought my own powder to make at home. All I'll be missing is the ice!! Love their ice! This place does need upgrades inside but nice natural lighting. Great for reading , hanging out and relaxing! Great customer service!!!

Used to love coffee bean but ever since they changed the app and I couldn't log back in and most importantly, customer rep hasn't responded to my request up to this day 8/31/24 - I stopped visiting this location. Today my husband was craving for some blueberry muffins and since his app is working, I suggested we stop by coffee bean. We ordered 2 muffins and 2 large caramel ice blended decaf with less sugar. Unlike Starbucks where they put a sticker on your drink to easily identify if it's yours- this one has no sticker. They called out 2 caramel drinks so I picked it up and then asked if they are decaf. Jacob, who took our order confirmed they are. So we started eating our muffins in the car and drank our drinks but they are too sweet. they are not decaf as well because I started palpitating. Told my daughter when we got home and she said our drinks are not even size large. They are regular sized drinks. She told us to bring them back but I don't want to deal with coffee bean anymore. Today is the last day I'm going to coffee bean. I'm done

LOVE this Coffee Bean !!! Jen the manager and the employees there are very friendly ! My go to drink is the Ice Blended Mocha, and they make it the best at this location. The Hot chocolate is the best I've ever had, Ik my opinion compared to Starbucks, CBean makes better drinks. If you have a military ID they give you $1.00 off your drink. ( Starbucks doesn't give discounts ). Bad Starbucks ! BAD ! Lol

Those are the positives and that's where it ends. Let's start with the main product, coffee. It's HORRIBLE! I could be snarky and insulting but I kind of feel bad for them. I've tried a few drinks and there is this crazy after taste that is simply unpleasant. The baked goods are hot and miss at best. Often dry and tasteless. Now, the staff. Over the years they've had some wonderful people, but the good ones don't seem to stay more than a few months. For whatever reason they retain anyone devoid of personality and energy. Product knowledge is virtually nonexistent. Enthusiasm? You'd think that the caffeine would wake them up, but no. It's like they are on heroin. I've interacted with someone who I'm told was the owner, but I can't imagine someone so blah and uninterested decided to open a coffee shop. This place has potential if they simply replace the coffee, staff, and sell to someone who actually cares.

On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.
