Cute Coffee Shop in Old Town Camarillo. Very relaxed & chill place. Lots of artwork found on the walls done by local artists. There are several tables to sit & enjoy your beverage. You can hang & do some work. The young gal who took my order & made my drink was sweet, polite & informative. They were out of their Holiday Drink, The Candy Cane Mocha. So I ordered a Hot Peppermint Latte. She was able to customize my order & make it less sweet for me. I enjoyed my Peppermint Latte. It went well with the Green Pandan Cookie. So good! I was happy to see that there were desserts from Sugar & Grace Bake Shop, a Filipino Bakery. Thank You for having these available for purchase :D read more

My favorite coffee shop in town! It's the perfect spot to either do some work, meet up with a friend, or even grab a coffee and walk over to the new Dizdar park. This is such an ideal location for a coffee shop. My go to order is the iced island latte! read more

I love the local vibe. We go there all the time. The coffee is top notch. The art is so fun. It's great to support local artists. The treats are also locally sourced. read more

My honey lavender iced coffee was really good. Lavender tasted fresh. Cookie was SO good great chill vibe.

Great local coffee shop with an artsy vibe! I recommend the Winnie the Pooh with add shot (espresso)! Yummmm

So far so good! I'm an avid fan of going to coffee shops to get some work done and I'm always looking for good ~vibes~ and Tree Lounge definitely has them! Think intimate, indie artsy, calm, welcoming, and vibrant. I love the local art all around the walls for sale and the sense of community here. There are around 8 smaller tables inside and a covered patio with a couple of tables outdoors. There's also a larger table that has some games (e.g., chess, Connect Four), books, and coloring. The locals that come in here are a mix of young professionals getting some work in, young artists writing or drawing, and business-y types grabbing their cup of joe to-go. I'm so glad that Camarillo has a good coffee shop that I can spend some time in and recommend to others dropping in the area. During my visit, one of the local artists popped in and I got to watch their process of refreshing the wall with new pieces. I really enjoyed my iced hazelnut latte with oat milk, I don't have too much of a sweet tooth and this latte was not aggressively sweet. I saw that they carry Sugar & Grace Filipino desserts and was so stoked! I ended up ordering a pumpkin muffin that was perfect for Fall. Their specialty drink menu looks exciting and I'll have to come back to try the Mother Earth, Dark Mocha, and Ube latte next! Service was friendly and fast. The only thing that would've made me give the final star would be some savory food options, wishful thinking - I know. Overall, so happy I popped in and will definitely be coming back. See you there! read more

Fun cafe tucked on the Main Street in Camarillo! They serve Beacon Coffee which is a huge win in my book! I ordered a honey lavender latte with oatmilk and it was extremely well made. Also had an everything bagel with cream cheese which was pretty decent. Overall the cafe itself is pretty artsy and has a good atmosphere. read more

Tree Lounge Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Camarillo, California

Went to this coffee shop yesterday I don't usually frequent since I work in the area and it was on my way back home. The atmosphere was very cute and inviting so I thought I'd give it a try. The coffee was okay, but the biggest let down was the service. The slightly older gentleman, Ricky I believe, at the counter reeked of marijuana so bad you would think it was secreting from his pores. The way he spoke to the other employees was incredibly unprofessional, inappropriate and deplorable. The amount of cuss words I heard alone while waiting for my drink made me lose my appetite, and nobody around corrected or reprimanded him. Where is management and what happened to decorum? I will not be returning read more

When in Old Town Camarillo, consider stopping in to Tree Lounge Coffee. We did just recently after receiving a recommendation for their Filipino baked goods, which are sometimes available. We scored ube crinkle cookies - so delicious and with perfect texture. I'd just had a large drink elsewhere, but Dear Hubby ordered an iced Americano. We enjoyed sitting out front on their covered patio, just relaxing and letting the world go by for a while on a Saturday afternoon. As an indy business, they embrace local artists. The walls of the main indoor space are used to display art pieces. That brings afternoon color and texture to an already vibrant place. read more

I went to check this place out during my lunch break. The ambiance is lovely; they have tasteful local artwork on the walls, reading materials, checkers, and an area where you can draw if you so choose. The service was great, and the barista recommended the brown bear latte, which was excellent. It was sweet but not too sweet, and the flavors perfectly balanced the coffee. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the lack of gluten free options, so I couldn't get anything to eat. If they had a muffin or something, I would definitely have gotten one. Overall, it's a great experience. read more

I come here all the time! I love that they don't have a pre sweetened matcha! You can add just the right amount of sweet. I also love that it's run by a family. It has a great local vibe. Everyone should come here instead of Starbucks. They also feature local art and have a kids section. read more

The coffee is fine, the vibes are off. Plenty of coffee spots to go to in the area that won't talk to you like you're bothering them.

The wild flower and Kona are my go to. I love the local artists, talent, and pastries. They host lots of great events for locals and students. Amazing coffee shop for locals with a welcoming ambiance visitors appreciate. The amazing family atmosphere keeps me coming back. 10/10. read more

I stopped by because I wanted to try the Ube treats. I had the one with coconut and the one that looks like crème brûlée and that was so good! The place is cute - instagram worthy. Service was great. However, I took a star off because I ordered hot caramel coffee but the cup wasn't full- it's like 3/4 full and the coffee was just ok. read more

We've been in numerous times. Like the other reviews below, very unfriendly baristas, every time. Zero personality, which is a turn off at place that is supposed to be inviting and welcoming. Not a knock on the individuals but I wonder why they are not happy working there?. Old pastry selections and 10 minutes to make one latte and one drip is a little too long. Dark inside an not very relaxing. At least have friendly, cheerful employees to entice your customer base to return. read more

I come here at least once a week because it's conveniently located and usually pretty quiet, which makes it a great spot to get work done. The coffee is consistently good, and while the pastry selection can be limited at times, what I've tried has been solid. That said, the staff experience really brings it down. Most interactions feel cold at best and borderline rude at worst. It often feels like you're interrupting them by placing an order. I've noticed they can be friendly with certain regulars, but for the most part, the vibe is unwelcoming. We don't need to be best friends, but basic courtesy can go a long way. When you say "good morning" and get silence back, it definitely contributes to the "off vibes" others have mentioned. read more

Great coffee spot. We don't have anything else like this in town that strictly serves great, fun coffee and pastries. Only thing is a lot of people just sit around at tables even if they've finished their drinks which makes finding a seat hard during busy hours. Other thing is sometimes tables are a bit dirty. But love this spot for sure. read more

Lovely local coffee shop! This place has high quality coffee, baked goods for sale from local bakers, and a vast array of artwork on the walls from local artists. They even have a little table dedicated to local businesses where people can put their cards and flyers. There's nice, subtle music playing in the background, so it would be a good study or work spot. There are also some games to play, my personal favorite being the massive Connect 4! I've come here a few times, but this most recent time I got a hot latte, an Italian macchiato, and a slice of the chocolate loaf for here. My latte was creamy and smooth and came in a very cute handmade mug. Their espresso is worlds above most coffee places! The chocolate loaf was pretty good, but it's quite sweet. My boyfriend must have liked the Italian macchiato because it was gone before I could even ask for a sip! This place is also on par with Starbucks prices, yet so much better quality!!! If you're looking for a classic coffee shop experience with some great coffee, definitely give Tree Lounge a try. read more

Delicious coffee, cozy small place. Overall highly recommended for the flavors, but unfortunately no parking.

I get the Iced Kona, so friggen good. Little sweet, little coconutty so yummy. I have gotten it about 10 times and each time it's delicious. I've had a few other drinks, one with honey and one with lavender, the Kona is the best. read more

The Ube coffee cake and the Ube cold brew were amazing, but the girl at the register with the big glasses had a horrible attitude, we were the only ones in line to order, so her being stressed from it being busy wasn't an excuse. We gave it a second chance and came back the next day to arrive before 7am. At around 7:15am that same girl said she wasn't opening for another 20 mins even though the sign on the door said they open at 7am and on yelp it said the same, and again I was met with the same disgusting attitude. Myself and 3 other people walked off. The drinks were great but definitely won't be trying out this place anymore. The attitude was enough for me. So we found another breakfast spot that amazing energy, so it worked out for us anyways. read more

Excellent coffee! Love the dark mocha and the Honeybee is fantastic, we got that one half sweet. Great lil coffee shop in downtown! Nice vibe! Only complaint is the floor is really dirty both times we visited...wish they would sweep it more often. read more

I first stopped by Tree Lounge a few weeks back. The coffee and bakery items were very good; however for that visit the staff wasn't very friendly. Decided to give it another try as I always like to give the benefit of the doubt and the second visit was better. I think the staff is still just adjusting to the new environment and maybe getting the hang of things. I ordered the iced lavender Oat-milk latte (a personal favorite) and it was delicious. I definitely recommend trying their cinnamon rolls, they're so good! This will probably be one of my new regular spots :) read more

Tree lounge is the main thing that's helped us adapt to life in Camarillo. The staff here is absolutely amazing! Every time we come in MIA is always so friendly, courteous, and makes all the drinks so good we tend to finish them too fast. I literally bought an espresso machine but we still come every weekend because her service is unbeatable and is always the same! read more

Ordered a latte there. The environment is nice. The arts on the wall are awesome! Good place to hang out.

Where Kay's Coffee used to be located in Camarillo. Plenty of parking up front. Clean location and very quiet. Hard to have a "private" conversation because there's no music or anything playing. A little too quiet for a coffee shop. Service was OK. Not really welcoming nor friendly. No smiles, just there to work. Coffee was OK if you like that type of roast. A bit watered down, sour citrus notes, which I'm not a fan of. read more

Cute and supports local artists. Employees are always nice. I do have one request to the owners, pretty please put a hook in the bathroom for bags, purses, and even to hold the bathroom key. I hate having to set my bag on the toilet or floor. read more

Every time I come in here I am warmly greeted and served top notch drinks. This last time I took my son with me. He loved it and loved the art on the walls as well. Can't wait to go back. read more

The food and drinks were good but the service was bad. I walked in there and no greeting and as I walked up to order, the guy barista still did not acknowledge our presence even when he looked at us, it was not busy at all. This location is already in a busy area which makes it a tad difficult to get to so getting service like that was wrong. Also when we got our drinks and empanadas, I said thank you and still nothing, we walked out and still... nothing. This was my first time here and I was excited to try this new place out but will not be coming again. read more

Great, fun-flavored coffees in a comfortable setting. The staff was even better! We loved the table with the communal drawing spot.

Drink Quality 5/5 Service quality 0/5 Speed of service 4/5 Value for dollar 2/5 14/20 = 70% C First off, the coffee is here is delicious and I have a craving for the Ube latte almost every other day. I've had a few different flavors here, and I can say they are carefully crafted with well thought out flavors. Unfortunately, that's where the positive aspect of this review ends. I've been here maybe 5-6 times and each time customer services is non-existent. From ignoring me as I come in when it's not busy (for example, 2 sitting drinking coffee while two staff members ignore me as I walk in without so much as a good morning) to constantly lacking major communication with prospective customers, this place is a customer service nightmare. My typical experience has been highlighted today as I wanted to stop in for a latte. I called about 20 mins before deciding to go, and no one answers the phone. I try to call because they are frequently out of the Ube flavoring but they never answer so it's always a gamble. I came in it was not busy, and it made no sense as to why the phone was being ignored. They said the ube was out and I mentioned I tried to call ahead to get this information but the staff were completely indifferent about the situation and said "sometimes we run out". Having something a simple as a basic conversation with staff is difficult because they simply make no effort with service and ignore customer points in conversation with standard "we just work here" type of responses. Further, I don't find $7 of value for each latte. While the taste is delicious, trying to charge more than Starbucks is crazy. What are we paying for? It seems that inflated case does not come with better service. Staff: It seems you either aren't morning people or customer service jobs aren't for you. Either ask for training or move on. TLDR Coffee good; staff not friendly nor problem solvers EDIT: To the owner; my review is reflective of my entire experience over 5-6 visits. The rudeness I've experienced has come both from you and your staff. The unresponsiveness extends beyond todays "Experience". Christal G below me has it right, this place needs work and her review should be minded. The owner response is a complete lack of accountability which is shown throughout your visit here. I didn't speak with, nor did I even see you during my visit. read more

The matcha here is good, and the lattes are alright. I really enjoy the selection of desserts they carry from Sugar and Grace bakeshop. The ube coffee cake is awesome! The reason this place is not a 4 or 5 star mainly has to do with service. I've come here multiple times, sometimes when it's busy and sometimes when it's not and I have yet to have a pleasant interaction with the staff. It feels like you are inconveniencing them when you order, and it's really a put off. read more

Cute little coffee store, full of amazing art on the wall and ample places to sit and relax. They've got all sorts of Ube treats like cookies, brownies and coffee cake.
