We came here for my birthday and everything was a 10/10. We made a reservation well in advance so we were seated with no issues. There isn't a bad seat in the house with all the windows! For drinks we got an old fashioned and espresso martini. Both were made extremely well with high quality ingredients. For the rest of the meal we got the schiacciata rossa, cacio e pepe and new york strip. The bread was amazing! It tasted like a fresh, fluffy pizza with a bunch of cheese on it you cant go wrong. The cacio e pepe was the best I've ever had. The noodles were thick and heavy with a buttery and salty taste. You could even watch them making it from scratch right when you walk in. The steak was also the best steak I've had from a restaurant. Being that we grill a lot its hard to say this about any restaurant for us. The steak was huge, and tender yet cut like butter. For dessert we got the tiramisu! I also got a free mini dessert with a candle! Both were fantastic with a light texture but a ton of flavor. The unicorn design on the tiramisu was cute! Overall we loved everything here. Our bill ended up being around $400 which is crazy high for 2 people in my opinion. Since this was a special occasion we were able to justify it a little lol. I would highly recommend coming here for any special occasion! We were truly impressed by every dish here.
Upscale pasta restaurant just north of the park. The entrance is on the upper level, be aware when you GPS yourself here as there are streets underground to navigate in this section of the city. Upon arrival, there is paid street parking available. Inside was nice, but it really came alive once the sun was gone. Tuscan vibes, but a little outdated. The service, was poor. The waiter was the kind of waiter that recommended the most expensive dishes on the menu instead of the ones he actually likes. There was a ton of people working yet I had my entree with no drink, not even water. The table next to us made a formal complaint about the service while we were dining. They were quick to make them happy, but it seemed like staff was avoiding our area after their complaint. My waiter would avoid eye contact when walking past my table. The food - some hits and some misses. The focaccia was too soft. The burrata tasted watery, the table side server added too much salt. The prosciutto was some of the best I've ever had. Salty and melted in your mouth. The meatballs, delicious. Great texture. Tasted like braciola. The corn pasta, light yet decadent. A must order. The beans, undercooked, horrible. The pasta of the moment, I loved the zucchini flowers, but it was very similar to the corn dish except it was over salted and too creamy. Doesn't feel dialed in. The pasta itself felt a little too al dente it needed another minute to cook. Really disappointed because I really wanted to like it. I wish the waiter would have tried to recommend I pick a pasta dish that was a little different from the one I already ordered, as I asked. The coke I ordered, $9 for off brand from a soda gun BS. The dessert, a free little treat. Delicious little bite that I wasn't expecting! Good way to wrap up the end of the meal. Overall, I think Tre Dita is overpriced. I think there are spots doing it better, for less. Good but not great.
The vibes were great with the high ceilings, upbeat music, and beautiful dining room. It wasn't quite as dreamy as the daytime since you couldn't really see the skyline well at night, but it's still a gorgeous spot. 8/10. Service was good but nothing really stood out other than our apps coming out fast. 7/10. The Fiori di Zucca (4/10) had a thin crispy squash blossom and creamy ricotta filling, but it was lacking flavor. The Battuta di Manzo (8/10) was solid. The mini parmesan cubes were my favorite part, and the buttery toasted bread really elevated the tartare. The Strozzapreti alla Vaccinara (8.5/10) wasn't as mind-blowing as I remembered. It was a little oily, but the pasta had the perfect chewy al dente texture and the oxtail was super tender. The Linguine al Limone (8/10) was surprisingly creamy and bright from the lemon. I can definitely see why it's one of their most popular dishes. The Pesce Spada alla Ghiotta (7/10) had nicely cooked swordfish, but overall it didn't leave much of an impression. The Tre Dita Gattò (8/10) had great presentation with its chocolate shell and rich chocolate cake inside, but I wish there were a few more textures. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant that's perfect for impressing someone. The handmade pastas are still the stars, but I didn't enjoy this visit quite as much as my first.
Tre Dita is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the service is warm, attentive, and genuinely authentic, making the entire experience feel special. The restaurant itself is stunning the décor is elegant with a sophisticated, high-end atmosphere that's perfect for a date night or celebration. The food absolutely lived up to the setting. Every pasta tasted fresh and homemade. We ordered the lemon pasta, the duck pasta, and the seasonal zucchini blossom pasta, and each dish had its own unique flavors while showcasing incredible quality and craftsmanship. To finish, we had the chocolate cherry cake, which was the perfect ending to an already memorable meal rich, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Between the impeccable service, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional handmade pasta, Tre Dita exceeded expectations. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable Italian dining experience.
Recently we celebrated our anniversary at Tre Dita, which is located on the 2nd floor of the St. Regis Hotel. Our daughter recommended this popular Italian restaurant because of its stunning décor and ambiance. Knowing that reservations open only two weeks in advance, I booked ours as soon as they became available and requested a window table. The restaurant certainly lived up to its reputation in terms of design. The modern décor was elegant and tasteful, and the soaring 44-foot ceilings and dramatic 40-foot windows created a spectacular setting. However, the tables were arranged rather closely together, and by the time we left, even several tables set up in the hallway outside the bar were occupied by diners. Remarkably, the restaurant was completely full despite it being a Monday evening. The biggest disappointment of the evening was not getting the window table we had requested. The hostess initially led us to a curved semi-booth facing the open kitchen, where the heat from the wood-fired grill was intense and servers were constantly rushing past to pick up dishes. I declined that table, and we were offered another 3-person semi-booth farther into the dining room. Although this area was noticeably quieter and more comfortable, and we could at least enjoy views of the impressive windows, it wasn't the window-side experience we had hoped for. Our server, David, was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. When I asked for a recommendation for a non-alcoholic beverage, he suggested the NA Aperol Spritz ($16), which was beautifully presented, pleasantly sweet, and very refreshing. My husband and daughter each ordered a glass of Prosecco ($36 for two). To start, we shared an order of Schiaciatta Bianca ($11) and Gamberi in Salsa Verde ($29). The focaccia was light, airy, and fluffy, while the prawns were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For my entrée, I chose the Scottadita di Agnello ($66). The lamb chops were available in only two temperatures, either medium rare or medium well, and I opted for the latter, which turned out to be the right choice. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. If the edges were browned to slightly crispy, then it would have been perfect to me. The portion included four lamb chops. I shared one with my husband and still had one left to take home, leaving just enough room for dessert. My husband ordered the Branzino ($89), which was a generous portion. He described it as "OK," though in his vocabulary, that generally means it was quite good. Our daughter chose the Linguine al Limone ($29) and absolutely loved the handmade Tuscan pasta. The portion was on the smaller side, but it turned out to be just the right amount for her. She let us each have a bite, the pasta was light with a nice lemon flavor, it's quite delightful. For dessert, we ordered the Tiramisu ($19) and a slice of Pistacchio Cake ($21), which David had recommended. As expected, the restaurant brought us a complimentary anniversary dessert with a lit candle. However, we were pleasantly surprised when David and another server came with 4 desserts, including a complimentary Cioccolato Gatto (Devil's Cake, a $21 value)! David explained that the extra dessert was their way of making up for our not getting a window table. What a thoughtful and nice gesture! All the desserts were very good. While the Pistacchio cake slice was delicious and had a nutty flavor, it's relatively small and not worth $21 in my opinion. The Devil Cake was rich and scrumptious, the dark cherries that came with it were fresh and complemented the cake very well, and it was a big portion. This might be the first time that we were too stuffed to finish all the desserts. It was very tempting to take the leftover Tiramisu and Cioccolato Gatto home, unfortunately, they were just too messy at that point and hard to box. The total for dinner was $429.51, including the tip. The restaurant also added a 3.5% surcharge. We considered asking to have the surcharge removed and adding that amount to the tip instead, but because the serving team had been so busy all evening, we decided not to. We hope that most of the restaurant surcharge ultimately goes toward supporting the servers. Restaurant valet parking was $36 + tips with validation. That's reasonable for the area and was convenient. All in all, we had a good and memorable anniversary dinner, I especially loved the sweet ending. So, 4.5 stars rounding up to 5.
Can't rave about this place enough. The inside was incredibly beautiful, and the view was impeccable. Every weight staff was very helpful and nice. The food was DELICIOUS!! You have to come here if visiting for the first time.
Booked dinner for my bf's 30th birthday here, as I heard great things about the view and ambiance of the restaurant. Would have loved a welcome glass of Prosecco - most other Chicago restaurants offer this on a birthday which adds to the festivity. The food was great! The hostess helped us select our mains pastas which paired well with the heartier steak. I was so full by the end of the meal. They did come through with a little birthday dessert which was sweet. As we were leaving, we saw Scottie Pippen waiting for his table!
We originally planned to stop by the bar at Tre Dita for just one drink before heading to another restaurant for dinner. The moment we stepped off the elevator onto the restaurant level from our room at the St. Regis, though, we knew our plans were about to change. The atmosphere was incredible. The place was buzzing with people, the energy was lively, and the space is absolutely beautiful. We managed to grab two seats at the bar and were greeted almost immediately by the attentive bartenders. I ordered the Hugo Spritz, and my husband had a Negroni. We honestly weren't planning on staying long, so I didn't even bother taking photos at first. Then we ordered the braised short rib meatballs... and that was the turning point. They were hands down one of the best appetizers we've had. In fact, I might go back today just for those meatballs! After that, we decided to stay for dinner. We shared the New York strip and the tagliatelle al ragù. The pasta was absolutely phenomenal--rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The steak was good, though not quite as memorable as everything else, but honestly, we didn't care. Between the amazing food, the cocktails, the lively atmosphere, and the gorgeous setting, the entire experience was fantastic. If you're staying at the St. Regis or just looking for a great night out in Chicago, I highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar at Tre Dita. It ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip.
My friends and I had to come back a year after our first visit because this was our favorite place we ate on that trip. Once again service was amazing, the apps, pastas, and tiramisu were all phenomenal. Will definitely come back again next Chicago visit!
Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and overall I'd give it 3 stars. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. It was packed on the night we visited, which speaks to its popularity. Service was excellent throughout the evening friendly, attentive, and accommodating. To start, we ordered the focaccia bread and burrata salad. Both were delicious. The focaccia was easily one of my favorite parts of the meal, especially with the generous amount of Parmesan on top. The burrata was fresh and flavorful, although I do wish it came with some toasted bread or crostini to complement it. For dinner, we ordered two 8 oz filets, the ricotta ravioli, cacio e pepe, and lamb chops. The steaks were cooked beautifully juicy, tender, and exactly the temperature we requested. However, I felt like nearly everything was heavily salted. The pasta dishes and steaks all seemed to have an excessive amount of salt, which overpowered some of the flavors. The cacio e pepe was also a surprisingly small portion for the price. The lamb chops were probably my least favorite dish of the evening. The sauce itself was tasty, but the lamb lacked flavor and just didn't stand out the way I expected it to. For dessert, we ordered the Devil's Food Cake. It was enjoyable, but I'd recommend asking about the dessert ingredients beforehand, as some options contain alcohol. The staff was accommodating and able to make modifications when possible. A couple things were disappointing for a birthday celebration. We adjusted our reservation a few hours beforehand and arrived around 9:30 PM, but weren't seated until nearly 9:55 PM. I understand they were busy, but it was still a bit frustrating. I was also surprised there wasn't any acknowledgment of the birthday no candle or small celebratory touch. Overall, the service and ambiance were the highlights of the experience. While there were some dishes I enjoyed, the food felt overpriced for what we received, especially considering the portion sizes and heavy seasoning. I'd consider returning for the atmosphere and appetizers, but I don't think it lived up to the expectations of a special occasion dinner.
My husband and I came here to celebrate after our wedding and had a reservation for dinner. Overall, there were a few dishes we really enjoyed, but the meal as a whole didn't quite live up to our expectations. I chose this restaurant because he loves the building as it's very unique. The focaccia bianca was excellent when served fresh. It arrived warm, soft, and incredibly comforting. We also ordered the squash blossoms, which were delicious at first, though they became a bit too heavy and oily after a few bites. The grilled asparagus, which was the special of the day, was fine but not particularly memorable. My favorite dish of the night was the cacio e pepe. The pasta was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also ordered the steak strip, which was cooked to a perfect medium and exactly how we like it. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was the biggest disappointment. It tasted noticeably sour, which wasn't something I expected, and I wasn't a fan at all. On the bright side, the staff thoughtfully brought out an extra dessert to help celebrate our wedding. It was delicious and a very kind gesture that we appreciated. While the service was amazing/topnotch and the celebratory dessert was a nice touch, the overall food experience felt fairly average for the price point. There were a few standout dishes, but not enough to for me to return. The ambiance is really nice and we were seated by the windows where we were able to see the river and Navy Pier. Just unfortunate that the food wasn't up to our standard that night.
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant! The texture of the pastas were all amazing. We started off with a few mocktails. I liked both La Pernaccia and Garibaldi-ish, but La Pernaccia was on the sour side so I liked Garibaldi-ish better. The meatballs was brisket texture, it was good. We had the patate fritte as well and I loved this side dish. I can probably finish it on my own... We got 3 pastas. First we had the papardelle al cinghiale and it had wild boar. It was good. Second we had the strozzapreti alla vaccinara and that was with oxtail. This was my favorite pasta!!!! The pasta was a little chewy (which I enjoyed) and it is not too salty or anything. I will definitely get this again. Lastly we had rigatoni con guanciale e pomodorini and it was good too. It was a little more salty tho. Would be amazing if it isn't as salty. The tomatoes were very juicy. Then we had dessert which I did not include in photos. We had the tre dita gatto which was like a choco cake and it's got some dark cherries on the side. It adds a nice touch. The chocolate itself would've been too sweet, but with cherries it was amazing. I'm not a big sweets person normally but I really enjoyed this cake. It was suppppper smooth. The atmosphere was nice and the view was beautiful. Our server was very attentive as well. This is my new favorite spot and I can't wait to try other dishes!
The pasta was delicious! Overall, the ambiance and service were great. The only downside was the experience at the host stand. Both hosts came across as very serious and somewhat cold, which made the initial welcome feel a little uncomfortable and uninviting. Otherwise, we had a great experience.

Stopped here because of the great reviews. I ordered the bianca foccacia bread, shrimp appetizer and cacio e pepe. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the foccacia bread. The shrimp was my favorite item. I ate it so quickly that I almost forgot a picture. The atmosphere is also really nice. Recommended for a nice Italian dinner. read more

Ate dinner here on 5-3-26 with two of my colleagues. Honestly of the best dinners I've had in years. Every course was super flavorful and perfectly executed. Never been to a restaurant that was elite with both pasta and steak. Our server was friendly and very polished and our sommelier Lindsay was knowledgeable and passionate and wonderful. Dining room was stunning - modern luxury with beautiful views. Fantastic effort all around. read more
The staff were so helpful, knowledgeable, and professional and the place is absolutely gorgeous with its big open windows and green velvet seats! We started with the schiacciata Bianca, of course as it came highly recommended, which was so soft and fluffy and very oily - we saved some for the pastas later which was a good idea since it was pretty big. The fiori di zuc a was also recommended and was somewhat different than expected, but the ricotta was really good. For pastas we did the duck ragu which was the most recommended and the tortellacci. Both were really good. The ragu was tender and flavorful, though I usually like my noodles a little less aldente. The tortellacci had really tasty mortadella and a nice brown butter sauce that really complimented it! And to finish off the meal, I got a little birthday treat! read more

Absolutely stunning venue! You are instantly taken aback as you walk in and see the tall windows with the beautiful view. Classy and modern vibe inside. Service as expected was top notch, you can tell everyone is professional. Our dinner started out with a welcome lemon liquer drink which was nice. Afterwards, I had some wine while we picked out some starters and mains to share. I would definitely recommend sharing so you can get a little taste of everything. For starters we got the phenomenal foccaia bread and gnocchi fritti. For the main we shared the tagliatelle Al ragu and tagliata di manzo. Everything was amazing, the gnocchi melted in your mouth. The taglietelle was rich and a steak perfectly cooked. All in all, this is an impressive restaurant. read more

Absolutely stellar! Came in for a friend's birthday dinner and luckily arrived at the St. Regis right as they are going the champagne sabering in the lobby, which may have made us a few minutes late for our reservation, but they were wonderful and understanding. Can skip out on a champagne sabering experience (and free champagne). The restaurant is beautiful and bright and we were lucky enough to be seated in a booth overlooking Lake Michigan and Navy Pier. Once seated we were promptly greeted by Mike, who was absolutely wonderful, brought us these lovely little sips of this lemony vermouth and walked us through the menus. We settled in drinks, I went with the old fashioned, be sure to ask for a large ice if that is your preference and drinks can out quickly. We were also treated with this lovely cheese honey and black pepper amuse. We had the panzanella salad - delicious. Fresh crisp light with creamy buratta. A fantastic start to the meal. For our mains we shared the filet, cacio, guanciale, and vongole, more than enough food. All of the pasta is made fresh, they have a window looking into their pasta studio and see them work their magic. But hands down the cacio is a star. I love the thick noodles. The guanciale and the vongole were also both delicious, the clams were super tender and the guanciale was salty and savory. For dessert we opted for the pistacchio il dolce. The cake was so light and the perfect ending to the meal. Everything was a 10/10 - I can't wait to come back! read more
We loved Tre Dita! Great design and our server Chad was very helpful and his knowledge of the menu was impressive. We loved the rigatoni he pointed out it wasn't the spicy one it was the other menu option! So good. Loved the burrata and all of the cocktails were interesting! Overall had a great time there and would definitely return. Oh and get the tiramisu it's one of the best I've had in Chicago. Very similar to how they do it in Italy. More mascarpone and less cake! Very good with espresso or cappuccino. Enjoy! PS. St Regis is very nice too. read more

Service was great! Our server was patient with all our questions. Drinks - everyone enjoyed their cocktails. I had the "Melina" which wasn't quite was I was imagining but it was still refreshing and tasty. Food - everything was great but the standouts for me were the focaccia (everyone at the table was blown away by this!) and the clam linguini. The space was beautiful and I want to go back and try all the other pastas. read more

We weren't able to get a table in the main room but ended up on the bar side which i was sad about. BUT EVERYTHING else made up for that. When i tell you a time was had, a time was had! We came to celebrate my mom birthday and we had a great time. The pastas were absolutely delicious and made fresh. My favorite were the short rib meatballs and the pappardelle con ragu pasta. We were fighting over the plates. Still thinking about those dishes. The drinks were also very good. And the deserts hit the spot. Service was really good and Darma was the best. She was so funny and really gave us a great experience. She brought out bday desserts for all of us. The ambiance is very classy and is in the St.Regis Hotel. Very upscale. Only downside is there is only 1 stall for the bathroom. But other than that I would highly recommend coming here. I can't wait to come back. read more
Best Italian restaurant in chicago for overall experience. The views are mesmerizing, beautiful ambiance and food was hot, fresh and flavorful. The server was wonderful. He brought us brandy to start, helped us select a bottle of wine and even gave us a few shortbread cookies. I can't rate this highly enough. Tre Dita was named one of the most beautiful restaurants in Chicago. It's located on the 2nd flr of the St. Regis, in the new Vista Towers. Reservations are available per week basis, so getting a table on a Saturday night was tricky. We got seated in the bar section offering cozy couches and plush chairs. We did make a point to stop in the dining room to appreciate the grandeur and space. Service was impressive and impeccable. The sommelier did a nice job to recommend wine, not an easy feat considering the size of the list focusing on all of Italy. Pasta is made in house and we got to appreciate the skill, craft and fun tools. For dinner, we tried a couple pasta dishes. Flavors and textures were quite simple but elegant. The squash blossoms were lite and crispy stuffed with cheese. Focaccia was a little different in that it was also airy and delicate. Get the Gotto if you want chocolate, that was incredibly rich. While we liked the Nonna, it seemed small and a little less satisfying. We celebrated a birthday that night and the chocolate/coffee mousse cup was the best bite of them all! Took us awhile to get reservations but the wait was definitely worth it! We were seated promptly on a Wednesday evening by the open kitchen. It was cool to see them fulfilling orders from the kitchen with detailed instructions, the staff really care about the minute details. We ordered the schiacciata Bianca to start, the bread was melt in your mouth perfection. We also ordered the fiori di zucca and the gnocchi fritti. The fried squash blossoms were beautiful but lacked a little flavor. The gnocchi had the perfect flavor profile and I would definitely order it again in a heartbeat. We then ordered the gnudi di spinaci and the halal filet mignon from creekstone. I don't think I've ever had such delicious steak before, it was flavorful and juicy even though we ordered it medium. None of the desserts looked appealing but we did get complimentary sorbet because it was my husband's birthday. Tre Dita is a gorgeous Chicago date night spot and I'm glad I got a chance to go once. read more

We went here for my wife's birthday. Definitely a great special occasion place. I couldn't get a res in the dining room (I called the day before so that's on me) but since they knew it was a special day for us, they gave us a table for two in the bar but we were all by ourselves! The waitress made us feel like we were her only table. It was like we had the place to ourselves! The view, see photo, was spectacular even on a cold rainy Chicago spring! The food was the star of the show, from the bread starter, the Cacio e Pepe was one of the best I've had and dessert was the perfect finish to an incredible experience! I recommend getting a res a couple of weeks in advance! They are busy and for good reason! read more

Stunning views, tiptop service, and handcrafted pastas with flavorful entrees is what I experienced here at THEE Tre Dita. This beauty is located in the St. Regis Hotel downtown Chicago. With italian cuisine dishes and culture was such a treat. I booked my reservations through OpenTable and reserved for the Chefs Table. What an amazing experience I had. From valet parking to the second floor of the hotel, checking in for my reservation while checking my coat which was HUGE perked for me, as I hate toting my coat around with me. I was greeted and seated immediately. My waitress was Jilleen. She was extremely impressive with her Italian accent and thoroughly acquaintance with the menu. She made great suggestions for the menu and infinitely wine selections. Jilleen first started me off within the Italian culture, I was presented with a pre-dinner drink. It was called Aperitivo, typically an alcoholic beverage, but can also be non-alcoholic, that is enjoyed before a meal to stimulate the appetite". I then ordered: Schiscciata Bianca, Battuta DI Manzo,Pici Cacio E Pepe, Filetto DI Manzo(8oz) And of course a red wine (can't remember) and a pistachio slice of cake. Everything was pleasantly fresh delicious and the quality was very much appreciated. It's an upscale place with fine dining atmosphere. They are also adjacent to Tre Dita Bar that I also checked out and it was just as amazing as the restaurant. It's a must visit at least once! Check em out! read more

I have been wanting to try Tre Dita out since June--it is still really hard to get a reservation for the dining room. The service was great--Very prompt and gave great menu recommendations. Salad: La Panzanella was very good! Highly recommend Meatballs: braised beef short rib meatballs were good, but I wasn't expecting them to come out fried. Honestly seemed a tad dry for me or needed more sauce. Would still recommend trying though. Branzino: I wasn't a huge fan--was bland to me. I have had better Branzino's in Chicago and was very pricy $89. I'm glad I tried it but won't get it again. Tortelli: my FAV of the night, just wish there was more! Normally when you think of pasta you think 'heavy', but this pasta was flavorful, light and airy. They make all their pasta in house in their pasta lavatory! We sat in the dining room, which has great city views if you're by the window. Aesthetically, I loved the bar area better for ambiance. Drinks: Margarita, Spicy Margarita, and espresso martini. My only complaint with the drinks is that they are smaller than normal. All were very good and the espresso martini was one of my favorites I've tried in the city. Con: they are still charging a $9 covid tax--but why?? Makes no sense to me. Our server took it off for us, so I paid it back to him in tip. Overall, I think it is a great fine dining restaurant, but a bit overpriced. Guess you're paying for the ambiance because the food was good, but didn't blow me out of the water. I had an absolute awesome experience at Tre Dita. Vibe , food and service was a 10/10. Located in the St Regis hotel, Tre Rita is an upscale Italian restaurant offering the best views of Chicago accompanied by fantastic Tuscan inspired food . We had the house baked focaccia, Gamberi in Salsa Verde ( Shrimp), traditional Tuscan hand made pasta, Filleti Di Manzo ( Steak) , Patate Fritte ( Potatoes), and Espresso Gelati . Each dish was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The steak is creekstone so people looking for Halal options can check it out. I was blown away by the decor and the high ceiling. Dined here yesterday after viewing a recommendation from Infatuation Chicago. Enjoyed dinner and upon opening the leftovers, found an insect packaged with my steak. GROSS! Will not be back and very disappointing! read more
Yes it's a restaurant in the St. Regis so I was expecting a scene but the food, service, and ambiance truly knock it out of the park. We went for a belated Valentine's dinner and stuck to appetizers and pastas and were very pleased. The pico cacio e pepe rivals Monteverde for the best I've had in Chicago, but the gnocchetti di spanaci, arrabbiata, panzanella salad, and fried squash blossoms were also excellent. read more
Put this place on your list when visiting chicago. Tre dita has a beautiful view and def gives speakeasy vibes. The drinks are strong and the shrimp and gnocchi bites were delicious. If you are looking for a place to grab apps and drinks with friends I highly recommend. Also grabbing a reservation is key however they do have seats at the bar. The service is great and the staff was attentive and provided recommendations that did not feel like they were selecting the highest price item. I will be back! read more
My friends and I stayed up until 11:59pm, 7 days in advance, to score this reservation-- with a level of dedication that can only be applied to events in the realm of Eras Tour tickets. TL;DR: it was worth it. Stunning ambiance, gorgeous views from the St. Regis Hotel. We were told that we could have a sommelier come to the table and help us out, but we chose to trust the advice of our amazing server David-- and he did not steer us wrong all night! Loved the moscato he helped us pick out. 12/10 for service and humor. Complimentary delicious shot as soon as we sat down, which was delicious. The schiacciata bianca (focaccia bread) was light and fluffy, the type to melt in your mouth. MUST try. The bruschetta classica was fine-- very good, but not groundbreaking. Rigatoncini all'arrabiatta was a pretty classic dish with the perfect amount of spice. I wish I had tried one of the more unique options (and as a vegetarian, I was happy to see plenty). To be fair, David did recommend a couple others like the gnudi di spinaci, so I'll have to come back to try it. Obviously this place is pretty pricey, but it's worth it for a lovely fine dining experience. Perfect spot for a celebration or a special night out. read more

So we sat in the bar section of Tre Dita, and this might take the cake for my best meal of the entire year. The ambiance is the coolest of any restaurant I have ever been too. The food and the service are top tier. I can't even believe how good the pasta was that we ate!!!!!! And the tiramisu is a MUST! read more
The ambiance is completely a 5 star experience. Romantic, Elegant and Upscale. The drinks were delicious. The waitress knocked over a drink and it completely splattered all over me. She removed the drink from the bill but offered NOTHING but napkins for my wet clothing. Two stars removed for this lack of service. I was completely disappointed and mortified. A complimentary round or a second drink removed would have been best. The starters were delicious! The squash blossoms and meatballs were amazing. The meatball is not what you expect. They literally taste like fried pot roast. Seriously a must try. Two stars also removed for the pasta dishes. The spaghetti was probably the best out of the 3 we tried. DO NOT GET THE LASAGNA. This dish was awful. End of story: come for the vibes, the drinks and antipasto and enjoy your evening. LOL read more

I can't name a better place to spend my birthday dinner. I can't get enough of Tre Dita. Love this place so much I settled for a 5:45pm reservation. No early bird special ;) First time have a table in the dining room. It's much easier to get a reservation at Bar Tre Dita. Both sides feel intimate so can't go wrong with either side. My goal is to try all the menu items. I was so bummed that the best thing on the menu was seasonal and wasn't available. I hope they bring back their pesto pasta. Pretty please. read more
"Review is solely for a cocktail" With that tiny tidbit aside for $24 this was a bitter mess & caused me to not pursue this place any further. I tend to go to these Uber popular & Uber expensive places & trust my first impression. I was a little leery having heard how this is the hottest place in town, impossible to get a table, such a beautiful room, etc... too often these places don't live up to the hype. Not here! Tre Dita is hitting on all cylinders. Wow! Absolutely loved the entire dining experience. I loved the understated elegance of the beautiful room and the top level service during the meal. They don't act like this place is a big deal. They just go about their service with great professionalism and pride in what they do. There's a nice connection with the guest. You never feel rushed. We were in good hands with our professional and accommodating waiter, Danilo... he made us feel he was taking care of our every need. Our sommelier, Vernon, was also fantastic. The food? Everything was insanely great! We focused on the pastas that chef Evan Funke is well known for. The CARAMELLE DI MAIS with Michigan Sweet Corn and Parmigiano Reggiano was a show stopper. The texture of the pasta so velvety, the flavors delicate... as it's seasonal, don't miss this dish if it's still on the menu! PICI CACIO e PEPE with Pecorino Croccolo, Black Pepper was fantastic as well, and perfect in contrast... a more traditional dish, but loved the chewy, heavier noodles of goodness, perfectly seasoned. Seems like you can't go wrong with any of the pastas here! I like that they position the steaks as dishes to share, slicing the meats before presenting to the table... like you're at a family dinner. The Wood Fire Grill, along with their method of cooking, added some magic to the TAGLIATA di MANZO, a 8oz Prime Ribeye Cap seasoned with Sea Salt, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This is a cut you don't see often, and it was amazing. Very rich, buttery, super tender... we loved it. Paired the steak with an order of their PATATE FRITTE Yukon Gold Potatoes with Rosemary, Wild Fennel Pollen... perfect! The wine list is well chosen. I was happy to see the 2022 Grattamacco Rosso, a Tuscan red from Bolgheri (30% Cabernet, 30% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 10% Sangiovese and 5% Petit Verdot). Of course, as you'd expect, really nice wine glasses. Kudos to management, Chef Funke and the entire team for what they are doing here. Can't wait to return and explore the menu further. Tre Dita was an immaculate experience from start to finish. Immediately upon arrival you are greeted with top tier hospitality and the feeling that a really good meal is inevitable. The set up is all around impressive but it was the service and quality of the food that made this such a memorable experience. We visited for our 4 year anniversary and were seated near the kitchen. This made for a very immersive experience that elevated the dining. When you are seated, you are brought a complimentary shot which was a nice touch. Hands down one of the best meals and experiences I've ever had. Itching to get back in there! read more

I loved this place. This place reminded me of being in nyc with the ambiance and the views. Our server was so kind and professional. We ordered SCHIACCIATA BIANCA, FIORI DI ZUCCA, LINGUINE AL LIMONE, PICI CACIO E PEPE and they provided a small bite of dessert. I would probably skip the fiori de zucca all together but everything else was amazing. I want to go back and try more pasta dishes. We also had a glass of wine and tried two cocktails. Hottest new restaurant in Chicago located on the 2nd floor at the St. Regis. Visually this place is stunning. We were only able to grab table in bar area, but I snuck over to the main dining area and wow is it beautiful. Would be the most beautiful spot for date or proposal! This place was hopping on a Friday evening. Like I mentioned, we sat in bar area, which they do offer full dining menu there. Drinks were excellent, I had the Tre which was perfect. Other drinks we loved included the espresso martini and we also had the Som help us select a bottle of wine for dinner. In regards to food, we shared several pasta dishes. We started with the burrata and panzanella, both delicious. Pastas included the pappardelle with duck, spaghetti and clams and the cacio e Pepe. All truly excellent. Pastas are made in house! Ended the night with tiramisu of course which was perfect. Overall would give 7.8/10. I would say worth the hype and very Chicago, visually stunning and you know you'll have a great evening. read more
