Ice Tea at $5 - Refill Policy One Time Only Chopped Salad at $16
Jeremy L.

6/25/2025 - Arrived at the L.A. Union Station at 2:45 PM and found that the next available Metrolink train is at 4:30 PM, decided to stop by at TRAXX Restaurant for a casual dining. The ice tea is very good, and the signature burger is 4 stars - the meat is never-frozen, but freshly grounded. Unfortunately, the meat has no flavor, but tender and juicy! My waiter service is 5 stars - very friendly and came to my table four times for refilling the Ice Tea once (one refill is allowed only) and delivered the burger, etc. Sincerely wish some billionaires can donate some money to upgrade the TRAXX sofa (See the photo for details) to enhance the ambience of the restaurant and image of the L.A. Union Station. No free WiFi access is available at the restaurant - Wish the L.A. Union Station will provide a FREE WiFi there, similar to a large shopping mall or many Asian Nations' Railway Gateway where a FREE WiFi has been provided by a centralized organization (e.g., LAX Free WiFi). It would be a pity when LA 28 begins if the L.A. Union Station does not provide a FREE WiFi access from the richest nation on earth!

Chicken Cutlet

Traxx is truly a hidden gem inside Union Station! We had an amazing meal here and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed everything, from the food to the atmosphere. We ordered the chicken cutlet ($19), which was house made and full of flavor, served with fresh herbs and a tasty house-made pesto that really tied it all together. The Birria grilled cheese ($15) was another hit; incredibly rich and satisfying with tender braised beef, melted cheddar, and a perfectly crispy, Parmesan-crusted sourdough. Definitely comfort food done right! You can also add fries or a side salad (we went with the Cesar salad - definitely worth the upgrade). Generous portion and refreshing. The ambiance here is so nice & nostalgic. They play jazz throughout the restaurant and bar (which has its own Yelp page), which creates a relaxed, timeless vibe that feels like a step back in the best way. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. There's also a large outdoor patio on the restaurant side; it's tucked away and feels like a quiet escape in the middle of the station. A perfect spot to unwind or even host a special event/dinner. Traxx is absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back!

Grilled cheese & tomato soup

Our big group sat outside, and it was my first time trying out this restaurant. The weather mostly felt nice and just a tad chilly at times. We had the grilled cheese & tomato soup, Traxx burger, chicken panini, veggie burger, and hummus. I ordered the grilled cheese & tomato soup ($16) which also came with a free salad. Including my share of tax and tip, I paid $20.40 for my meal. I liked dipping the sandwich in the tomato soup. It reminded me well of comfort food, and I felt full afterward. The tomato soup's texture leans more on the thinner side. The menu didn't say that the grilled cheese & tomato soup comes with a free salad, but our server let us know when someone ordered it. I initially wanted the chicken panini but switched at the last minute. Regarding the dining experience, I had the impression that our server got surprised that we had ten people in our party. I felt neutral toward the customer service here because the server didn't feel welcoming to us. Regardless, the restaurant accommodated all our requests.

This was a great experience for me. The perfect escape from the beautiful chaos happening in Union Station. Service was fantastic and the food was great. Stopped in before catching a train. Will definitely be keeping Traxx in mind for future commutes. Calamari was a huge surprise. A lot better than I expected. Crispy and plentiful. Birria Tacos were also pretty good and the perfect snack before resuming my travels.

Cool Art Deco vibe and very clean. Service was slow. I had to ask for an update on my one item that was already 30 min wait for toast. When I received it I was soo disappointed. It was obviously burnt , very hard and cold. I had to ask for my refund and I hope to see that in a few days. I guess restaurant can burn toast. Two stars for the ambiance.

Before taking the Amtrak to Santa Barbara, I came early to Union Station to explore this gorgeous building and take time to have lunch. I was super happy to see they had a great sit down option at Traxx right past the entrance of the station They had a private event happening on their patio so I opted to sit on their interior patio which offered great AC and people watching seating I went with their popular grilled cheese and vegan tomato soup combo. It hit the spot! The soup doesn't have a traditional creamy base and was a bit light on seasoning...so I added a few dashes of Tapatio which boosted the flavor a couple notches The ambiance was great and staff was super friendly. Shoutout to James who was awesome Will come back to try more of their delicious menu items on my next trip from Union Station

For me, it was like going to a party. I love the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Oh my God it is so delicious. It is what cheers me up plus the bartender was really cool. We got to listen to a bunch of great music. Enjoy the ambience I wish I could eat more of these sandwiches though they're so delicious , I'm gonna come back and try the macaroni and cheese

Dirty tables. Terrible service. The only reason they're open is because you have kk other choice at union station.

Nothing special. Overpriced tourist trap food. Many better options close by. Only good for a quick drink at best.

We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.

The food is so delicious and for a reasonable price. Specifically, the skewers after you get a drink. I always eat the pork belly skewers and the beef short rib. The best part about it is that they leave the stick out of it, so it just comes as a plate of meat. My favorite is the Korean Tteokbokki with Ramen noodles. It is so well seasoned, and it is a guilty pleasure of mine. It also has many pieces of kimchi. The corn cheese is yummy and great as a side of anything that you get there. They also give you a free cabbage soup to start that is so flavorful in itself! I also love the ambience as well as the decorations and set up of the restaurant

Saturday night, 6 PM was date night…read more We waited 50 minute wait for a table. Parking was cheap and easy, valet parking for $5 cash, $8 Zelle or Venmo. The valet guys were really nice and friendly. Service was good for how busy they were. Services were well informed when we asked questions. It was our first time there, and had lots of questions. Food was good, not great, but food quality matched the price of the food. In order to order from the skewers menu, we were told we had to buy at least one alcoholic drink. I wasn't planning on getting a beer that night, but I did. Inside the restaurant, it's low comfy lighting. I did not take pictures of our food because of the lighting. I didn't want to mess parties around us by hitting them with the flash. We enjoyed our meal cell phone free. Dan Sung Sa was even busier after we finished our meal. With so many options in KTown, I would not consider going back for date night, but would when going in a large group of friends. Dan Sung Sa was vibing with tons of positive energy and drinks.
