We were extending a bookcase and needed a remnant to try and match the countertop. We didn't need an exact match but something close enough. We stopped in and were able to check some of the remnants they had outside and as luck would have it, we found a piece almost identical to our original countertop. I contacted the business and James came out and we discussed the project. Later, he came out to see the project and another person came out to take the measurements. Throughout the entire process they were very easy to work with. EGW was very quick to have the pieces ready and were very accommodating waiting on the cabinet makers to finish their part of the job. Once the lower parts of the cabinets were installed, the people from EGW were at my house within a day or two to install. The installation was quick. The people who do the installation are very professional and clean. The bookshelves after the countertops and unless you look very closely, you cannot tell the difference from the remnant pieces and the original countertop. The are efficient, professional and reasonably priced. The other company I used was good but the people at Emerald Granite Works seem to care more about their work than the other business I used. We have other projects and will for sure use them again. Can't recommend them enough for any of your granite, countertop or tile needs.

We found a stunning marble slab at Architectural Surfaces, and the Emerald team helped us make the most of it by incorporating it into both our kitchen and guest powder room countertops. We received a quote by the end of the day and waited a few weeks for actual measurements of our counter and backsplash space for replacement. Waited another few weeks to have them start demo on a Tuesday to disconnect stove, water, sink and dishwasher, and waited til Friday for installation of counters. Was originally planned for Thursday but due to miscommunication I wasted a full Thursday waiting to find out no one was coming. Came the following week to do backsplash and complete the job. For future reference, I would get an estimated timeframe from start to finish. Scheduling and communication seemed to lack and had difficulty trying to make my personal plans around them so I basically couldn't plan ahead for anything for 1 1/2 weeks. When I mentioned this to my sales associate he was very specific of a 3-4 day start/finish that was never mentioned to us, nor estimated in our contract. Well, we were way over their timeframe based on the wait time of scheduling. Since we had to go without sink water since Tuesday, a plumber came out Saturday to reconnect sink, stove and dishwasher for the weekend until completion the following week. I feel that the daily teams did a great job however I feel that my associate person could have given everything a thorough inspection, especially on completion day. Pictures and admiration does not pass as a full inspection. We ended up not having silicone caulk between the counters and backsplash therefore the grout was cracking, there were some quartz blemishes that needed touch up, electrical outlets were having problems, etc. and I had to make my own punch list for followup which again was not reinspected by my associate. So for over a two week period the job from start to finish was complete. I ended up caulking the counter to backsplash since nothing was scheduled, it was always next week.....not a scheduled day. I surrendered. Before this begun, full payment was done therefore I felt that they were done with us and left it at that. I still gave them 4 stars being that 90% of the job was done good by the assigned teams.

Clint really has a way of finding really talented craftsmen and workers. Additionally, unlike others we've worked with where you don't know who is showing up on what day at what time, Clint's guys work consistent hours, for us they typically showed up at 8 and had cleaned up for the day by 5. As disruptive as a remodel can be it's a relief to have a little consistency. Another reason we've stuck with VanRossun is because unlike other contractors we've worked with or gotten bids from, Clint is a good open communicator about the budget. He's been great about sitting down with us and pricing things out, and then we can sort of trim from there to get what we really need out of our budget. Really happy with Clint and Isabel and their crew, and we plan on going back to them in the future.

I used the website Countertop smart.com, so I was able to insert measurements, get an estimate, and choose an installer easily. Perfect Countertops had good reviews, a good price for installation and a two-week installation date which fit my schedule. Though I am very happy with the finished project, I was frustrated with communication with Elier and delays. The countertops were demo'd on one day, countertops installed the next day and the matching backsplash was installed 7 days later - which delayed installation of the cooktop and faucet. (And increased my anxiety as I had a dinner party scheduled the next day! I never heard the reason for the weeklong delay.) The installation was complete 5 weeks after measurements, not the 2 weeks planned when I scheduled it. So as with all construction projects, allow plenty of time for completion. I would recommend Perfect Countertops if your schedule is flexible.

I asked if he could quote me on a few other colors I had found online that were also Level 1. He first told me I would need to call his suppliers to locate it but the next day he told me he would look into it and get me a quote. After a week of not hearing anything I called one of his vendors that has every color in stock. I texted Elier and let him know but I have been ignored. I owned a glass company in Austin for over 15 years and I am proud to say I NEVER mistreated a potential customer. If I told you I would call you back in 2 days, I called you back in 2 days if not sooner. What happened to good CUSTOMER SERVICE? I would not recommend this company if you want someone that will work with you and give you options.

The real kicker is their outrageous fabrication & installation price. Most places I searched, the price of the material, fabrication & install was less than their fabrication & installation price. But you can purchase the remnant & have a fabricator pick up the piece. They have two locations with remnants. The second, a smaller selection I was told (with a different name) is very slow to respond, if they respond at all. So, I'm not sure what to expect for service for anything else.

Next step was to call Falon to schedule the template and install. NO RESPONSE, we called back days later and were told by the receptionist that Falon said they are no longer jobs of our size (small). They gave us the name of a guy from Countertop Smart who could hook us up with an installer. See my review for Countertop Smart for how that went. Moral of this story is get any promises from them in writing.

This wasn't a small task by any measure, and with the whole pandemic looming and everything else, wanted to get moved quickly. Tedford Distributors had exactly what we wanted, in stock, and ready to go. They were able to get installers in just a few days later, and it was a whole team. Basically one guy per room, and they came in and basically knocked it all out in a day. Great experience, I highly recommend. I have never done flooring before, but if i do it again I will call Tedford Distributors first!

Summary: I would NEVER use this contractor again…read more I purchased my flooring from Floor & Decor and was STRONGLY encouraged to use their contractors - Installation Made Easy - which turned to be Angel Superior Flooring (ASF). The estimator, Rosie, said we had just over 1,000 sq ft and the installers would do 200-300 sq ft per day so we estimated 5 days. We planned to be out of town for a week starting April 17. We discovered that ASF would not paint the molding - we paid them to move all of the furniture (about $700) and put it all back when they were done, but that would leave us with heavy furniture against a wall that would need to be moved again for the painter. Grrr. We decided that ASF would leave the furniture away from the walls and then the painter would come in, paint the molding, and put the furniture back. It's heavy wood furniture and we're too old to be dealing with it. We scheduled all of the material to be delivered from F&D for April 16. On the morning of April 16, one of the ASF installers showed up ready to start work. We sent him away since we had no material and he was a day early. F&D delivered the material shortly before noon on the 16th. The missed the shoe molding required for this project so I phoned and had it scheduled for the next day. The next day, the molding showed up before ASF did so we were back on track. The shopping list that ASF gave us was for 255' of shoe molding. It comes in 16' pieces so F&D sold us 16 pieces. We left on our trip. I discovered on my trip that my Internet went out. It acted like the T-Mobile gateway was unplugged. I had left explicit instructions for them not to unplug it because we have things that need Internet (like our irrigation system). I texted ASF on Monday morning asking them to plug it back in again when they got and was told the job was already completed - they went for speed and not quality. They said they didn't touch the gateway. They lied - it was unplugged at the gateway end so they likely knocked it off the shelf, it became unplugged, they put it back and didn't say anything. That was the least of our problems... The painter showed up the Friday while we were gone to finish painting the shoe molding. He texts me pictures showing scuff marks all over the floor - he noticed this before he even started painting. So I texted ASF and they said they'd send somebody over on Saturday to clean them up. We got home from our trip 2 days early on Saturday night. I see scuff marks all over a filthy floor. I pulled the electronic door lock logs and see that they were here for 6 minutes. So they walked in, looked around blindly, and didn't do a darn thing and left. My wife spent a good part of Sunday vacuuming and mopping the floor. We then spent time with postit notes beside every scuff mark and a couple of dents on the floor and told them to come back and fix them. We also emptied out the cardboard from our garbage can and put it in the recycle can, and we finished picking up the garbage that they left outside. Our neighbor had already picked some off the driveway and some out of our garden. The painter immediately noticed that there was a mixture of shoe molding and quarter-round used for the project. One of the closets didn't have either shoe molding or quarter-round! I asked ASF and they said they ran out of shoe molding. Their supervisor, Ivan, said they only used quarter-round in the closets where it wouldn't be noticeable. I pointed out that part of the master bedroom had shoe molding and part had quarter-round. The hallway also had a mix facing each other. They matched the corner joints by slathering silicone over them. Ivan said they used 50-60' of quarter-round so they either missed the estimate by over 20% or F&D didn't deliver what I paid for. I'll never know which it was. The supervisor offered to replace the quarter-round with shoe molding. However, it would be OUR expense to buy the shoe molding, and OUR expense to have it repainted. I told him we weren't going to do that but I wasn't happy about it. When they came today, they cleaned up all of the marks with acetone, did a nice job on the shoe molding in the closet (they were struggling to get around shelving in there), and ended up replacing 1 tile that was dented. Ivan tried to say that it wasn't dented at all and it was my imagination, and the flooring guy today tried to say somebody else must have dented it - but there was nobody home between the time they left and when it was found. He then said it must have come that way from F&D and that it wasn't noticed during the install. ASF opened the packages and ASF put the flooring down. They need to pay attention to what they're installing. The master bedroom closet had a larger dent but to fix it would have meant removing and replacing the molding so we left it. Again, why did they install a dented piece in the corner of a closet? Overall, we have a new floor and we've made our final payment. But I can't say we're happy.
