Whether it's the pre-game hour, the evening nightcap, or a place to simply enjoy a strong cocktail while pondering life, Tradesman has been an easy imbibe hole for all occasions. It's a perfect place for a gathering or a solo drink session and I would consider coming back every time. I have enjoyed many a cocktail here and appreciate that even during select weekends that the flow of people here is never too overwhelming and the vibe is care free. A big sell is their massive outdoor patio. It's been a perfect area for group gathering opportunities and a nice departure from the intimate interior which seems good for date nights and solo night caps. Ambiance and drink options aside, I really appreciate the customer service from the bartenders and staff. They've always remained friendly and are super laid back most of the time. It's a nice break from the pretentious nightlife venue options in Williamsburg. I've never had any of their food. However, seeing as I enjoy being here, I'd never hesitate to try any of their dishes. I think I'll make that a priority for my next visit.

First bar that I've sat within their space since the pandemic started. We passed by and saw a sign where they said they were open but entrance is in the back. We ventured around the block to find a beautiful and spacious patio of several tables, all within good distance away from one another. I believe they are also dog friendly, given the dog bowl of water (and my friend brought her dog). You order from a small window and they bring out your food/drinks to you. I'd say they have a good sanitary protocol in place and would feel safe coming back. I would try their food next time.

This is someone's favourite bar -- but is certainly very far from MY favourite. We were in the area for some shopping and decided to google a place for brunch. We landed upon this place which is really more of a bar then anything. Once you walk in there is a weird amount of dead space to the right, zero stools, just people awkwardly standing around... I should have taken that weirdness as a sign but it was too late -- we had grab a seat in the corner and kind of stuck. We were told around 11am that it was happy hour. Great! Drinks are five - six bucks each. Everything was fine until I looked up and noticed it was cash only. Really annoying but okay fine. We scramble together some dollars. We got two breakfast burgers. Keep in mind they inform you to be "Extra patient." The kitchen is three hot plates sectioned off in the corner of the bar behind two makeshift walls...... Basically, after the bar was built - somebody was like, "yOu knOW wHaT woUlD bE kEwL??? iF wE maDe FOoOdd!" It's very obviously an after thought considering the entire layout of the bar is very poor. Other yelpers are upset their food took too long. We had read the little sign so knew what was up. Not the best place to go to when you're starving. Our waitress finally shows up with our burgers and they're the smallest portions in the world. It was almost insulting how little food we were given. ESPECIALLY the tater tots. The way they were scattered on the plate was just plain sad. It's as if someone was snacking on our plates before they came out. The breakfast burger is just an english muffin with an egg on top on the burger. They charge you extra for any sort of garnish (No onions, no cheese, no bacon, no avocado.) The burger was raw in the middle. (We weren't asked how we wanted our burger...I assumed cooked would be the default.) It was the saddest brunch I've ever been to. The whole thing was around 50 bucks.......and we left hungry. Perfect place to go to if you want to starve to death and be overcharged while doing it. Also guys, it's 2020. We know you want to avoid fees or save some money under the table but come on -- Square exist now.

If you're looking for a nice relaxing date spot in this area of Brooklyn, this is where you want to go. Before heading out to grab some dinner, me and my girlfriend voted on getting drinks. This place was nearby to Champs Diner where we planned to get food later on. Without doing any Yelp research, we walked into this spot. Personally, I found the 'tradesmen' blue collar theme plastered all over the bar to be very cute. The first thing we noticed is how intimate the setting is. The low lighting, and availability of many different seating options really helped with that. At the bar, the bartender quickly tended to us and informed us about the happy hour items. By the way, their happy hour goes until 9pm! Quite a find for any place, let alone one of the hippest parts in Brooklyn. I ordered a and my girlfriend ordered a glass of . My very tasty craft beer was only $4! Her glass of wine was $6. We were able to chat it up, without feeling like we had to move from where we were. Also, if there was any music playing at the place, it was low enough for us to talk. Definitely coming back here again if I have the chance.

A++ on the brunch atmosphere. We had a large party right next to the front window, and it was a perfect fall day. As with most brunch menus, I scanned to find the few options without dairy. They had a lovely autumnal scramble atop corn tortillas, which included beets! And two fried eggs on top. And I requested a side of sausage (of course) - and they were generous with that serving, which is how I like my sausage. Everything I could ever want on a plate. They had the big-ass Sriracha bottles, which is always a good sign. The challah french toast is excellent as well. The service could have been a bit better, but the food definitely made up for any slack. Can't wait to come back to see what the chefs cook up :)

We came here before our dinner reservations at Champ's Diner which is around the block. The vibe of the bar is really nice with dim lit candles and jazz music playing in the background. They have Happy Hour specials until 9 PM which is amazing! The specials consist of $4 beers, $6 wines and $10 cocktails. The only thing is this place is Cash Only. Hence, I dropped a star.

Love this weekend brunch, super simple menu and the yogurt is huge when they have it. Everything is inexpensive and well done. The outdoor seating is the best in the summer. 4/5 chance you'll see a dog. Happy hour runs later than most bars but it's cash-only.

#Seems like a decent bar. They had burgers the time I went. Burgers were nothing special, but the #fixins bar had plenty of stuff. I like stuff.

I went on a Saturday afternoon and at least one person had a dog, so it seems dog friendly.

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

I discovered Kokomo because I knew I wanted our wedding celebration to be in Williamsburg -- a neighborhood that holds so many memories for me growing up in the Bronx and exploring the city as a kid. We flew in from Los Angeles and truly made it a full wedding week experience. I planned the wedding myself, so I had been communicating with Joel for months leading up to the event. We reserved the Champagne Room, which felt like its own beautiful oasis. As a Jamaican-American woman, it meant so much to know my disabled mother would feel culturally comfortable, welcomed, and safe in the space and with the food. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and calming. Our server especially helped ease my nerves while we were finalizing seating and guest details, and after that, I genuinely did not have to worry about a thing. And the food? Absolutely incredible. Truly perfection. As a vegan, it meant so much to fully enjoy every part of my wedding meal without compromise. The rum punch was fantastic, our guests loved the open bar package, and the entire evening flowed so seamlessly. The aesthetic is pure island luxury -- elevated, warm, vibrant, and beautiful. The communication from the owners and management team was excellent throughout the entire process, and I even had the chance to finally meet Joel at the end of the night after months of planning together, which was such a lovely touch. I was also able to personally thank the chefs. We even accidentally left my bouquet behind, and the team kindly helped us retrieve it the next day. Kokomo NYC is officially a staple in our family now. I already know we will celebrate future milestones there and visit often whenever we are back in New York. It makes me proud to support a Black Caribbean-owned business that creates such meaningful experiences with so much care and excellence. I truly cannot imagine our wedding without Kokomo, and I'm so grateful they were part of our story. : @lensofher

It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder.
