I din't even think about it when I ate it. Yes. It is a bit salty. No; it is not spit it out and throw it away. It was pretty good. Bought another package; found this crazy pouch inside the package. It was full of chicken scraps to make weight for the package! It was not just thrown in, but there was a pouch I had to open with a very sharp knife. See the pile of stuff beside the package. I have slowly become a TJ's fan, after few month of visits I feel like it's now become apart of my routine. As I am planning my week day meal I often think is this item a better buy at TJ's? Often it's hands down YES! TJ's has most of their items no added preservatives or extra stuff in products. I love that I can look at back of ingredients to clearly understand what's in my item. A few items to that make it to my cart each trip: 1) Fresh pressed juice 2) chicken sausage 3) Herbal teas- They have Candy Cane Green Tea right now for the holiday season---Go get it! I really have developed a love for Trader Joe's mostly because the value of the dollar goes far in this store. Most of the items in items in the store are labeled under "Trader's Joe's" brand and very delicious. So I will start this review by saying I have shopped at this TJ's since 2014 and had okay experiences until lately. I finally felt the need to write a review because my experience today was bad. I had my toddler with me, so I was trying to make this a quick trip especially since it was 113 degrees out! Initially I was greeted while getting a cart, but once inside the store the customer service went down from there. I started by shopping the parameter. I was looking for a particular item for what seemed like forever. I am one to look as hard as a can before asking that way I know I have done my best. I look up and see at least 4 "crew members" working. I finally ask one young lady were the item is and she informs me that they have rearranged the store. So I walk over to where she says they have relocated the item to and still having a issue finding it. Get this, there is yet another "crew member" stocking the shelves right there. Does he ask if I need any help? Nope. I find the item and move on. I the same experience on another aisle while looking for the canned tomatoes. My final straw was when there were not one, not two, but three...THREE people working the beer and wine. Actually I take that back, two guys were just standing there chatting. I assumed they were both upper level managers since they were in the Hawaiian themed shirts some wear. I literally was in the section for two minutes. Turns out to get help I had to be of barely drinking age and asking for Malbec (insert eyeball here) to get asked. No, I wasn't help but the young man getting ready for his hot Tuesday night date was asked if he needed any help. So I stand there and just see if I will be offered help. Nope. The straw that broke the camel's back! I head to the check and the cashier asked how I was and I informed her the customer service at the store needs some improving. I encountered at least 8 workers and none of them offered any help unless asked. Granted Covid is happening, that doesn't meant to stop helping the people spending there money in the store. I learned from this to go to the Baseline/ Gilbert location, amazing service there from beginning to end! read more

I love Trader Joe's! This one is right next to my Yoga studio, so it is very easy to stop by after a class and get some great items. I love the samples they have, and I usually end up buying whatever they have out to try! Great deals on wine! I love their cheese selection. I also like how they showcase new items. Everyone that knows me knows how much I love Trader Joe's. I think for the most part, they're all created equal. Just a few things about this location in particular that I don't like that much. Here goes it: On 2 separate occasion I came in to get Trader Joe's Alkaline water and they were completely sold out. Completely! They didn't even have the individual bottles. The flowers aren't always the freshest or prettiest. The sample coffee is always cold and old. The sample food section is usually really bare. I visit this location pretty frequently because it's in the same shopping center as my yoga studio and it's super close to my job. I have yet to try their sample coffee and it's been hot or fresh. For the purpose of this review I would like to focus on the pastry department which in my opinion has gone down hill dramatically the past few years. For example, rarely if ever do I see a fresh made pie any more in the pastry department. Tj's pies were awesome. Nor do I see the amount of selections of fresh made pastries as I did several years ago. When I asked employees what happened to the pies and other items they answered "We don't carry them anymore'. No explanation why. So unless I need a specialty item from one of their isles I usually just order online and have them delivered from companies like Vitacost.com or ThriftMarket.com. There are many companies that offer equal or better prices and values than does Trader Joes on canned goods etc. Does Trader Joes' even deliver yet online? Soon they will be forced to if they want to stay in business if the corona virus scam continues. My conclusion here is that Trader Joe's is going to the side of profits over people. I genuinely laugh when reading reviews on TJs that day over priced. What???? Have they been to Whole Foods or AJs?? Or are they simply used to shopping at Walmart. As far as the store goes it's more Euro organic and every time I go in I'm shocked by how low their prices are. I eat primarily vegan at home and their vegan section alone is insane. The same vegan cheeses are +3 dollars more anywhere else. And the wraps! At Whole Foods you spend $6 -$7 dollars on the same premise wraps or salads. Here $3-4 bucks and honestly they are just Tastier than the Whole Foods premades. People will always find ridiculous reasons to complain. It grants them some sort or power or control in their day. The prices are silly here, so affordable and really delicious. I'm obsessed with the teriyaki chicken on the rare occasion I eat it, it tastes like restaurant quality ( and it's maybe $3.99) If you're complaining about prices , you clearly aren't the clientele Trader Joe's attracts because for us, it's a huge blessing from the produce, to the conditioners it's a great deal. IMPORTANT CONTEXT I mostly frequent this location of Trader Joe's because of proximity to my house. Although obviously a tiny satellite store, I am grateful that there is Trader Joe's so close. THE TRADER JOE'S EXPERIENCE I am usually happy with their selection of fresh fruit, especially their pre-cut options. I love many of their deli items, cheeses and fresh juices. They also have a decent selection of supplements, oils and wines. It's somewhat trivial, but I love their sturdy brown paper bags. Trader Joe's is very consistent in products, display, cleanliness and staff friendliness throughout all locations. This store is not large nor impressive, but it rarely disappoints. I appreciate the consistency and knowing what to expect. It is a tad pricey. In my opinion Trader Joe's is only good for hummus (their store brand hummus is better than any other hummus I've ever bought at any grocery store) and their frozen food section (because they carry a lot of stuff other grocery stores don't carry). Oh and I like their boxed whipping cream that doesn't go bad quickly so you can keep on hand in your pantry for whenever you want to bake. Their produce and other items are overpriced. Pastries are just okay. I don't really care for their "healthy" version of chips and cookies and such. Just want to say that I love the store. But when I called to ask how I can get a gift card, the attitude was not a friendly one. All negative. He hung up on me when I asked what they are set-up for as far as gift cards. I wanted to do it online or come in and buy one that can be used online.Because Hawaii doesn't have a store. This is a good market. They are not very big, so selection is not huge. But the produce seems fresh, and sometimes they have unusual items. They also have a variety of prepared foods (from hummus to breaded tilapia fillets). They are a bit pricey, and I wouldn't do all my shopping here. So I was running some errands when I came home from work yesterday. I stopped at TJ's since I had not been there in a while. Nice and cool inside but, not freezing. I was looking for Chocolate Cheese that they had at Christmas time. I couldn't find it so,I asked. Sorry it is just a seasonal thing. However, I did find Cheddar Cheese from New Zealand. A major find. Not as good as the New Zealand Tasty Cheese,but still good and very pure. From grass feed cows. No GMO or antibiotics and other hormones in NZ cattle. Just saying. I found a few nice little items as well as their rosemary crackers, which I think are some of the best you can get. Wonderful staff as always. It is a lot of fun to shop here. read more

I've always enjoyed my trips to TJ's. The fearless flyer, the seasonal products, the whimsical packaging, and the typical TJ's sense of ease and humor always put me in a good place after a long day at work. I've developed a habit of picking up a few items that I couldn't even imagine would exist to try at home. Sometimes I was underwhelmed, other times, I was seriously wowed. Among my TJs favorites are: mini dark chocolate bars, soft-baked snicker doodles, frozen Indian entrees, triple ginger cookies, whole wheat naan bread, frozen macaroons, soy milk, multigrain crackers, juices, and various beauty products (!). TJ never fails to put a smile on my face. I'm starting to follow the blog "What's Good at Trader Joe's?" and sending friends care packages of TJ's products. There's a lot of myth surrounding where are TJ's sources from. I'm not that much of a source police, but I rarely find products there with a long, complicated, and undecipherable list of ingredients that kept me on my toes. When the husband starts to make some dietary changes (go gluten-free and veggie-rich), we have found TJ's a good place to start because healthy food here doesn't taste gruesome and overly wholesome. With TJ's fantastic selection of healthy delicious choices, I've grown to experiment with bolder concepts and simpler ingredients. Gotta love my TJ's in my neighborhood! read more

Believe it or not, this was my first time at a Trader Joe's. In my pursuit to live a healthier life, a friend suggested going here to get groceries instead of Fry's. Needless to say, this was a great recommendation. It was so much easier to pick out healthy food, and the prices are hard to beat! I love you Trader Joe's. No, you are not "my" grocery store. I can't commit to you as my one and only baby. It's not you, it's me. I am tempted by the fruit of another. Sprouts and Sunflower produce trumps you baby, but don't you worry your pretty head about it. You've got my favorite cheese selection and you know how I am about cheese. You know no matter how many times I stray, I'll always come back to you. You don't need to worry about the items I buy at Safeway baby, that's different. That's just shopping. What we have is something more than that. I love it whenever I discover something new about you. I can't live without your hummus or your mediterranean style yogurt. It reminds me of crisp mornings in the Amphora Hotel in Chania harbor. Of course the honey here will never be as magical as it was in Greece but that's not your fault dear. I love that you know I'm not made of money. I don't have to flash a lot of brass to impress you and that always makes me feel accepted and appreciated. Even when you're cold, or feeling like you can't give me the things I want (because let's face it you're *always* out of stock on something I really like) I can always find something to make me feel like our time together is special and well worth the effort. Trader Joe's is awesome for the following reasons: 1) Australian grass-fed steaks - $4! 2) bagged salad greens for $1.99 3) middle eastern flatbread - like $1.89 for a huge bag 4) white bean and basil hummus - YUM 5) the magic that happens when you combine all of the above 6) really good, really cheap frozen vegetables 7) TJ's greek yogurt in fig - i never leave with fewer than 10 of these. Things that are not so great: 1) I am a sucker for grape tomatoes, and theirs are rarely good. small, flavorless. somehow dry. for these, I have to go to Costco, which has consistently fab grape tomatoes. 2) the organic avocados tend to not be great, and they are wildly expensive. or maybe they just seem expensive because everything else is like $2. avocados are my other must-buy-at-Costco item. Clearly, Trader Joe's is awesome. my only real complaint about this TJ's is that it's pretty small, but i've heard a rumor that they're expanding this one. Trader Joe's had been a favorite mine for so many years, this location in particular. You can't beat the prices on the cheese, charcuterie and wine...unless you go to Costco, but I rarely need a pound of Manchego cheese. The staff is always so friendly and helpful that they always stop what they are doing and walk you to the product in question. Their seasonal products, such as fresh figs, peppermint marshmallows, spiced ciders are always a fun addition to my grocery list. I can not forget the choices in their 74% and more dark chocolate bars from all over the world, hubby' s faves. I am disappointed that they do not carry the 1 lb Belgian chocolate bar any longer. Wish I could give it NO stars. My mother's dragged me in to this place many times as she likes to shop here. I always felt like no matter where I was, what I was doing, people were flying at me like I wasn't there - NO respect for personal space. I could be picking out tomatoes or browsing the cheeses and I would LITERALLY pushed out of the way by some stinky hippy. The last time I shopped there was the LAST STRAW. My mother had BEGGED me to pick up an exclusively Trader Joe's item for a dinner party she was having. TJ's is very close to my house. I reluctantly agreed. Since I knew exactly what she needed, I told my husband to drop my fat, sweaty, pregnant ass off in the front and I'd hobble in there to get the 2-3 items my dear mummy wanted. Again with the people rushing at me. Oy vey!!! I'm standing in a line that had 3-4 people in it holding my items, sweat dripping off my brow and my 9 month pregnant belly growing by the minute. The young man in the checkout line next to me says "Excuse me ma'am, I can take you here". I smiled and as I was hobbling over there, some ASSHOLE rushed up to the checkout counter and dumped all his organic crap on the conveyor. The clerk SAID AND DID nothing. I said "Uh EXCUSE me? He asked ME to come over." Both ignored me. I dropped my three items on the ground (two of which were in glass jars that shattered) and said "FUCK YOU, FUCK THIS PLACE, I'M NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN" and walked out.
