New management is necessary at this location. I would never recommend this location to anyone for any reason until such time they learn to treat customers with dignity and respect. The way I witnessed a manager treat another customer was wholly unacceptable and completely inappropriate. I would personally sued the store for their abusive treatment if I were that customer. Reading reviews about this location, I now get it. "Customer service" isn't high priority here. A cashier who disappears for 5+ minutes....managers who are busy laughing it up and not noticing the line building cuz this cashier vanished. This is a review for the meat department only I just was served or helped out by a young man named Bryant. He was amazing. He came out from the back. He was very busy in the back, but he came out. He helped me make a few choices. he went above and beyond . I've never had that happen at the meat department before that's why I don't go there typically, I go to another food chain store. Usually I would give this store a high 5 but today's experience will explain the lower rating. While visiting the men's room it was in really bad shape. Poo stuck to the bowl and used toilet paper all around the floor. There was trash all around the trash bin too. See pics. I told a worker (a senior a little older than myself) near the deli that the bathroom was a mess and showed him a picture. He just turned and walked away without a word. Later while my wife was at check out I went to the Customer Service Desk showed her my pictures & explained my experience with the other employee. She jumped right on it and called for someone to take care of the problem. Basha's prices are generally higher but that is because they are not a discount grocery. The store is well lit, clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly. We will continue to frequent this store. I am hopeful my post will be thread by management and acted upon. read more

I'm a native of Arizona, and I grew up in West Phoenix. We had a Bashas store in our area, but we never shopped there because their meat and fish counter always had a horrible smell too it. I still see that same issue in some of the Bashas stores today. I was a big fan of Bashas for many years, just after they built store number 1 at Kyrene and Chandler Blvd. It was the closest store to their main wearhouse, and it was a good store for many years. In the last few years I have only shopped a few sale items from Bashas, and it's always a pain in the ass to get the sales. They're either out of the product's, often on the first day of the sale, or they don't price them correctly. So today I went out again for some sales in their new ad for the week. It was also Senior discount day, which makes the sales work a little better, if you can find them. I only bought a few different items, and all were in the new ad. They didn't have the ad prices loaded in the computer, so I had to get a manager to adjust the bill, and the kid didn't have a clue. After he corrected 2 of the items and gave me back $15 on a $150 order, which took 15 minutes to accomplish, I was sick of arguing with him. He still didn't fix the grapes that were wrong, but at some point 50 cents isn't worth the time. Is it really too much to ask for to get the products that are advertised, and at the price you're supposedly selling them for? ISN'T WHAT BASHAS IS DOING CALLED FRAUD? GOOD LUCK GETTING HELP FROM THE GOVERNMENT WITH THIS ISSUE. It's not a crime if big business screws you over! You're not an AJ's shopper, with political connections, so they don't care about you. Stopped by this location because I happened to be on this side of town and needed a few things. I found the store to be clean and organized. The aisles are nice and wide so you can keep your distance from others. The shelves were well stocked and the one employee that we encountered (the cashier) was friendly. read more

I wasted my whole afternoon to find a place to write this review for Bashas which located at 4855 E Warner, Phoenix, their ' William, the store lead'. I went shopping at this Bashas today. Unfortunately, my cashier was the guy wearing his name tag as ' William, the store lead.' He was extremely Rude to me, at that time I was just thinking finish the payment then I can leave. After I got my receipt, I noticed that several items on my receipt was charged at the way much higher than my ad on my phone. So, I asked him to correct it for me, he said 'Go call the manager! Oh, right, I am the manager!' Then he just left me there. I was shocked. I never met anyone like this RUDE! The girl next to his station apologized for him to me, and called another manager. After he arrived, I told him the previous cashier charged me the wrong price, and show him the ad on my phone. He said, that's last week's ad. I asked him what date is it today. He said ' Aril 26th.' I showed him, the ad on my phone is from this week, it's until April 30. After he inspected the ad on my phone, he started to calculate the price, after a long while waiting, he refunded me $3.48. At that time I was just soo shocked, so tired, I just wanted this to be done, and leave that store! After I came home, I read my receipt again, 'William the store lead' over charged me $7.29! According to the refund I got from the second manager from the store, they still owe me $3.81. I wrote this review Not only because they over charged me $7.29, but because that 'William, the store lead' s extremely Rude Behaviors. His attitude came from nowhere, and deeply hurt people who's shopping at Bashas, especially for this location! I, or any other customers don't deserve this kind of behavior at all! This review will be mainly about the bakery. Vicky at the bakery was very friendly and willing to help with what we needed. She was able to go above and beyond in helping me find exactly what I needed for a birthday celebration. We ordered different things from the bakery section and she was able to put it altogether and made it look extra special for a birthday. We ordered chocolate covered cheesecakes, cupcakes, and chocolate/caramel apples. I was able to try all of these and we all had zero complaints. They were all very delicious and I will for sure be coming back to get more treats for any future birthdays. read more

This is my Sunday go to shop to score food ready to be bought approaching expiration. I shop here nearly every Sunday. On this day, the check out clerk was snippy and not eager to assist me as I was more work. I wanted to ask a question about a price and she said you have a lot of discounts! She hurried my bag packing and overcharged me in one item ( I was trying to ask). The store is normally quite a great spot. Love the covered parking and smaller store size. read more

This review is based on the bakery. I absolutely recommend Vicky for any of your cake needs. I talked to her at the cashier and I told her that I normally place my cake orders at the Chandler location near Chandler Mall but it closed down and she said she use to work at that location now she's at this location working. Once I heard that I placed my order with her because she was the person who done my cake at that location but never got her name. In the past she has done beautifully on my daughters birthday cakes. This past January she did my daughters cake. When I placed the order with her she asked questions I didn't even think of in order to make the cake perfect. It shows how much she cares. With Covid PPE, I could not tell where the eating part is in this store..... All tables and chairs are put away so I walked down the store and the lady told me at the flower parts all you need to look next to the restaurant on the other side of Basha so I went back there. Restroom were clean. I looked around the place was clean. I wasn't sure if I wanted to eat here or somewhere else so I looked at the food it was clean and the ladies jumped immediately to ask me if I need anything. Very nice of them. There were errors on the floor And X marks. Social distancing and when we walking where observed at the store. Parking was nice easy to park to get in not like some other parkings is bad you have to walk like 25 yards in the sun before you are in. I saw at the store those hats that have a cover on your neck being sold for $11 only. The same as I've seen them two years ago online I don't $40 or more. I wanted to buy one but the place is crowded and social dispensing so with my anxiety even at low grade I decided just to leave the place. May come back next weekend. read more

My review is based solely on the bakery department. Vicky the bakery manager and cake decorator is AMAZING. She is really helpful and talented. I never saw her in person. The cake was discussed over the phone. I told her I wanted a paw patrol cake and she made the design herself. The top layer was chocolate with oreo filling. Middle layer marble with oreo filling. The bottom layer vanilla with strawberry filling. The cake texture and flavor was REALLY good. Perfect size cake for the perfect price. I paid less than $70 for this cake. Only con is that no one else in the bakery is very knowledgeable. She is the go to person. The only other thing is that we had about a 30 min drive to location of party and the cake shifted a little on the bottom layer as you can see in the pictures. I wanted to try bashas cakes because we aren't really a fan of frys and Sams club cakes. We will definitely order from Vicky again. Thank you Vicky! read more

My husband came to this location to pick up baby formula. After he got the formula, I asked him to look for dark soy sauce before he leaves the store. He went looking & wasn't any so he was heading out of the store. Before walking out the door, Frank store manager, stopped him saying you can't walk out with that. My husband said it's paid so I can walk out with it. Frank asked why don't you have a bag? my husband said the guy didn't put it in because there wasn't any. Why don't you put bags in the pharmacy so I don't have to carry these around your store! These formulas aren't on shelves it's in at pharmacy so why don't put bags back there and don't excuse me of anything then shows receipt for proof that it's paid. Frank said lot more and was rude like he was stealing he should of checked the cameras for proof before wasting time on someone who didn't do anything wrong. I like Bashas', but I do not have one close to me. I happened to be in Ahwatukee, so I stopped in. Good customer service, nice bakery. I found everything I needed. I like that they have kept the store small with manageable aisles. It is easy to find things there. After shopping a got a drink from the Starbucks inside. read more

You really can't beat the location of this Bashas, very convenient on the SE corner of Warner and 48th. Their produce selection is a little lacking and their meats are slightly on the higher cost side. At other places, you can usually find chicken for $1.99 per pound. Here I notice that the Bashas brand chicken is slightly pricier than this and is not that great. This is the only location in the area that I have been able to find Webber marinate packets. These are a must for grilling. You won't find these at Frys or Sprouts, so thank you Bashas for continuing to carry these. read more

Parking- there is plenty of on-site parking. Customer service- The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food- the quality is good and they have a different variety. Price- I think they're a little on the expensive side. they do have a shoppers club that helps with discounts but it is still more expensive than frys and Walmart. read more

Bashas' is what I would call an old fashioned grocery. This location has the typical stock and hasn't yet gone through the seemingly obligatory 21st century remodel to try and compete more directly with Sprouts and Whole Foods. Though this is the case, I still like this grocery, no gimics with points and prices are actually as marked. I have also found that their meat and chicken are both of a higher average quality than some other stores. I appreciate specifically with chicken that they choose not to carry the new extra low quality stuff that others have seemed to pick up in the last 5 years. If their ad stays chicken you can actually trust that they mean the edible variety. Will say though, the employees do seem quite, well, disillusioned. I have been shopping at Bashas for over 30 years and I really love the store... I find some brands of things that I can't find anywhere else. They have Sara Lee pecan coffee cake, Knor gravies, and Baskin Robbins pints to name a few. Their fresh Italian bread every day is the best in town! read more

We moved here a few months back loved that we were next to our "hometown grocery store" since we are so close we visit this location several times a week. The staff knows us by name. Since this time we have noticed the store declined in dim lighting and dirty floors, we have overlooked this because of convenience and we have stamped this "our neighborhood store" today I went shopping like every other day when a staff member treated me So disrespectful! When I called for the store manager she did the same it was so disappointing I cannot have ever imagined this would have ever happened. When I called the cop rate office he told me it's definitely a "training issue" no help at all!! This is in regards to store # 11 located at 4855 E. Warner Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85044. I have shopped at this Bashas for over 7 years. Today took the cake. It started at the Deli, I order the 8 piece chicken meal, and I would like to first and foremost state the girl who served me was excellent. I also wanted to get some chicken salad but there were no prices on any of the items so she found what she thought was the price and she quoted me 5.99 a lb. OK perfect As she was getting it for me her coworker called her out in front of everyone saying she misquoted you its 7.99 but she will honor the price. I was ok with that but to be called out for a mistake like that is very unprofessional. Now comes the biggest issue. Upon checking out with cashier 0135, Eva store #11 I gave her a coupon for Coke Cola which clearly stated .77 a bottle with my rewards card MAX 6. After we were done I checked my receipt and saw she only took off 1.22 for Coke which would equal only 1 bottle. 1.99-1.22=.77. Perhaps she should stop commenting on everything I bought and pay attention. I took my receipt up to customer service and cashier #501, who I really hope was not the manager. I explained what happened he immediately takes my receipt and goes all the back to the Coke aisle to verify the price. While he was doing that I simply went and got a copy of the ad with coupon so I could show him. He comes back and tells me it's a MAX of 5. I show him the coupon to prove I was telling the truth it's a MAX of 6 so according to my calculations 1.22*5=6.10. As I am showing him this he is quickly working the register and tries to give me back a 1.99. My husband at this point is losing his patience and has to correct him and tell him No... 1.22 Per bottle discount times 5 is 6.10. Finally the guy gives me my refund. Can you please tell me why I have to do your employees jobs for them? Why should I continue to shop at Bashas when Albertsons and Frys are just are close and have better service. read more

Everyone seems to hate on Basha's, but I like it. Sure some of their groceries are a bit over priced and this particular locations produce isn't as stellar as a Safeway or a Sprouts, but I like this location for their great little organic section and their liquor section is pretty decent. I've gotten some really good pre-made food in their deli section. Just recently they had home made chicken pot pies and they were very good. To me Basha's has a small town grocery store vibe and not like a chain (even though it is a chain, but a local one). The employees that I have dealt with at this location have been nice and some will usually make small talk. read more
