i scheduled a groomers apt for 8:30 am and coming to the store i was unable to get in because the…read moredoors where closed. petco has a sign outside saying grooming hours are from 8am-closing they also have a sign inside the little lobby telling customers to ring the door bell and a groomer will come to you. well how am i supposed to ring the doorbell if i cant even get in. i saw a worker from the inside and i repeatedly starting knocking on the glass window to get his attention and to show him my phone so he saw i had an apt. the worker then LOOKED ME IN MY EYES and decided to walk away and ignore me. i kept knocking and still not even a glance. so i went out of my way and opened the door myself and when i got inside he looked at me with a mean stare. i then rang the doorbell and the groomer came and i had stated how are customer supposed to come in and ring the doorbell if no one opens the first door for them. she replied and said that the groomers come to you and looked at me and kept walking. Im like 100% sure the worker knows that they have apts before opening hours and i understand the workers having to come to you to open the door but to CHOOSE TO IGNORE A CUSTOMER knowing damn well you get apt before open. maybe im exaggerating but i scheduled my apt a month in advance and ive been waiting for this apt for my dog. so to come and this is the service i get and on top of that its cold and early in the morning of course im going to be upset.

Perfect on the car ride home, minimal whining when crated, perfect on a leash, very gentle with our grandson - completely calm around loud noises, such as the thunder we experienced this morning. As far as the negative reviews, all I can say is the current owner, Chris, is the farthest thing from what people say about the old owner. He was passionate about the dogs, extremely patient with my wife and me - answering all our questions, including any "negatives" that may impact our decision. All the dogs we saw were happy, well-behaved, and energetic. The store and training room were both very clean. We could not be happier with our puppy, or our experience with Von Dietrich.

Currently she has a cat named Pumpkin, a hamster named Pig, a snake named Tally, a frog named Bob, and a cockatiel named Peep. This business sells frozen mice for her snake, crickets for her frog and all the bird feed and supplies she will need for her new cockatiel. I recently bought a heat lamp with a heating element only, no light, for my outdoor cat house. The lamps are normally used for lizard environments and terrariums. But it works fine for my barn cats giving them ten more degrees of warmth than the outside temperature. I also added some insulation to their cat house. We have even found food specifically for a hermit crab when no other store had such an item. So yeah, this store has just about a little bit of everything for pets and literally lives up to it's name regarding the "Plus."

I stressed that I did not want them to shave her hair down close to her skin. She did have some matting, which I told them about when dropping her off, but they told me they could work with it. I also asked that her face be rounded, but they did not trim her face AT ALL. She had long bangs that hung over her eyes and they didn't even touch them, just put them in bows. She had 1 mat on top of her head and they shaved her head in that one spot and left the rest of it long. It looked absolutely ridiculous :( My husband and I had to cut her bangs ourselves when we got home just so she could SEE. They had her from 4:15pm - 7:30pm and I don't think they even gave her a bath. She didn't smell like shampoo and she still had dirt in her tail (which had also not been trimmed) Her nails were poorly cut so they were still sharp and long, one of them split in half at the tip? We think that because they were busy, they kept her in a kennel for the majority of the time and then rushed to finish her so they could go home. We will not be coming back and I do not recommend you bring your babies here.

Absolutely disgusted with this customer service and will not be returning. Not to mention a 10 pound dog grooming was $85. Go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or put your dogs in danger.
