The place has a wide variety of bird supplies, reasonable prices, and friendly/helpful staff. After pulling in their lot out front of the building, I entered the shop which has two large rooms, front and back. I heard a voice of greeting as the employee came forward towards the entrance and asked if I needed any assistance. It seemed a little odd that the checkout was in the backroom, but wasn't really any inconvenience for me. As I browsed around, I was pleased to see such variety of offerings. Even the suet that I purchased for feeding the birds that stay in winter had more than a dozen varieties including some that deter mammals from raiding the feeders. Not only do they have feeds, but there were lots of feeders and accessories, they also had yard decorations and because of the season I visited in, ornaments that were bird/pet related. Look, I get it if you don't want to drive across town to shop here, but this is really close to Broad Ripple and you can help support a local business as well as make your home an attractive site for flying creatures. Overall, a nice place to shop. Review #3467

I stopped in this shop and found the shop well spaced and orderly which made finding what I was looking for much easier. The woman working behind the counter was pleasant and when I found an item, she discussed the features of the item and how it was different than some alternative items I had used in the past. The prices are higher than you will find at the big box stores, but I suppose that goes with being a specialty store that can't offset prices against other items. Even though the items can get expensive, the quality seems to be part of what I've paid for on purchases, so I seem to keep returning when I find one of these stores in the area. Good service and products for those of us who enjoy watching our local birds. Review #3663

Seriously, I'm drowning in foster kittens over here and every single one is weaning or still young enough that they aren't eating kibble yet. So I'm going thru a LOT of canned kitten food. I typically shop at Meijer for my cat food and litter. But they don't always have much of my preferred kitten food in stock, if at all. I won a $10 Petsmart gift card from Indy Humane recently, and decided it was the perfect time to put it to use. We noticed as we walked in that they had an adoption event going on. Several dogs in cages lined the front of the store, as we were greeted by a Petsmart employee. We didn't make it more than a couple aisles in to the store before another employee asked if we needed any help finding anything. I discovered a brand of canned kitten food that Indy Humane had given us a lot of lately. While Indy Humane does supply us with food for our fosters, they are at the mercy of donations and sometimes what we receive is a mixture of different brands. That can cause upset tummies for our kittens and I rather avoid that smelly aftermath. So I do buy a lot of the canned food myself, and only take from them what I know will agree with my fosters. I noticed that Petsmart carried a brand that has worked well with my foster kittens, at a reasonable price. Even better, they offer a discount when you buy X-amount of cans. The number seems to vary with each brand. Since I'm going thru a lot lately, I grabbed 24 large cans. Our total came to $23 and some change, after taxes. Check out was pretty quick and our cashier was also friendly. The store appeared clean and nicely lit. So I have to say that partnered with the great price, we had a great experience!
