Took my lil fur baby shopping for a new bed. This was our fourth store and we found one he loves! The small dog bed selection was limited, but had exactly what B was looking for so it was paw-fect; he was happy! The staff was helpful, checked in to make sure I was finding everything and to answer any questions... at checkout they shared the return policy (tags on, great condition beds can be returned/exchanged). Moments after placing the bed on the bed, B climbed in, got comfortable and fell asleep! Haha, annnd... it's his now, no returns needed. This is a hidden gem in the Nora Plaza Shopping Center. I noticed one day that they had a dog wash in the back so when my big baby got muddy, I decided to bring her in and try to bath her myself. I was greeted promptly when I entered the store with a real smile and can I help you find anything today. Which was nice because my baby thought she was in treat heaven and wanted to go to town. I was escorted to the back of the store where the wash stations are located. There are two smaller wash stations for smaller dogs and one suitable for my big ole baby. The staff member walked us through all of the equipment and how it worked and we got to business. I have used several dog washes over the years and I really like this one the best! This location has separate partitioned areas for each dog wash. So you don't have to worry about another dog being in the same room with yours. The washes have rails to clip the lanyards to that run most of the length of the tub to allow for different positioning. The spray nozzle is a heavy duty pressure actuated lever instead of a garden sprayer type. They offer a variety of shampoos to use if you choose to use theirs. There is a separate blower/dryer not a shared system. Definite five stars for the dog wash! The staff is also knowledgeable and kind. I came for a self service dog wash at 6:55 PM. I was told that the service was closed to the evening. When I mentioned that I had looked up the hours online, they said that the bath closes an hour before the store closes so that they have time to get everything cleaned up for the next day. I drove almost 15 minutes to get to the location and I definitely won't be back considering they would not let me in even though I was there before the cut off time. I have a short haired dog that takes about 3 minutes to bathe and 3 minutes to dry. read more

We love this store! I am fortunate enough to get to take my dog to work and after an exhausting day for both of us, we love to stop by Pet People! The staff treats us like royalty and they are soooo sweet with Sherman! They play with him and get him to do tricks. They carry quality products! I feel like I can trust the products in this store without question. They have beef tendons that Sherman LOVES! I've never found these anywhere, but they are the perfect good-boy treat! They have a cute selection of toys, too. They have dog washer stations in the back and everything always looks very clean. Our favorite pet store! More of a specialty pet store as they don't carry a lot of the mainstream brands you might find at Target/Petsmart. Have a wide selection of dry, wet food, toys, other specialty vitamins etc. Very clean, and staff is always friendly and very helpful in making recommendations and sharing their knowledge. Our pets love coming in here and saying hi to everyone and the other furry pets. Their favorite are their speciality treats. Love, love, love this store! I am greeted every time I come in and always asked if I need help. They have recommendations for anything you are unsure of and a great rewards program. My pup destroyed a guaranteed toy the same day I bought it and when I brought it back in, the manager helped me pick out a more suitable toy and helped me with the exchange. Cannot speak highly enough about this establishment and their employees. I wish I could've caught the name of the woman who assisted me on August 27th in the PM. I am a first time pet owner and she gave suggestions for specific foods, toys, and treats that would serve my pup well. I told her about how we adopted this rescue Pit/Boxer mix, and she made the conversation personal, asking all about his personality and how our first few days with him have been, and I told her how we didn't know much of his history. She suggested a food that is supposedly easy on stomachs of dogs so there's no harsh transistors, and gave me a few sample bags, which our puppy LOVED and we will be returning soon to buy the whole bag. She told me she would love to meet our pup, and that I should bring him in sometime, to which I replied that we were wanting to bring him to take advantage of their grooming areas! I typically don't give negative reviews, if I don't like a place, I just take my business elsewhere. But, I guess it's because it involves my best friend (my dog), that I just had to do it this time. I've been buying all my food and various items from this store since they opened. Sure, I know I can order it online and save time and money, but I wanted to support the local store. The staff has always been very nice and friendly. So, today I go in there and want to give my dog a bath. He's an older dog, 13 years old, so I didn't want to stress him out too much. I leave him in the car while I get things setup. I tell the woman I want to rent 1 of the stalls, she says sure and takes me back to show it to me. 2 of the 3 stalls were already being used. So, while she is showing it to me and I am ready to go get my dog, the other woman that works at the store brings somebody else back that came in after me and gives them the stall. Then, they say well it will be just a few minutes while they wash their dogs. I don't mind waiting, but I don't appreciate being bumped by somebody that comes in after me. I could understand if it were a mistake and they corrected it, but they both knew I was there first and it was an "oh well, you will have to wait until they finish". So, I didn't want to bring my dog inside and wait 20 or 30 minutes, that would have totally stressed him out. My only other choice was to wait in the car. No thanks. Apparently, my dog and I weren't important enough to worry about. I can get food and other gear elsewhere. My 4 pets don't care where I buy it. read more

Before I bought a puppy I had no idea what this place was! My vet recommended we visit Pet People because we are being very picky about the type of dog food we feed our tiny toy poodle. When we walked in we were quickly created by the cashiers (who were helping customers) and another staff member that was stocking shelves. They asked if it was our first visit in which it was and they explained how the store is laid out. They asked details about our pet and made recommendations explaining the benefits of reach brand they recommended and told us which food they feed their pets. The store isn't huge but just the right size. They have so many GOOD options, no terrible food so whichever food you land with you can feel good about it. They also have clothes, quality treats, toys, etc. This place really makes you feel welcomed, and provides such good options for your pet. Highly recommend. Oh and if your pet doesn't like the food, you can bring it back and exchange. Love that too! read more

On our dog's birthday we get him mini doggie cakes here; also, we get him little peanut butter squares that look like Reese's. I've only browsed in this store twice on my lunch break and I've noticed they are very organized and neat. The shelves are always stocked perfectly and the staff is very helpful. I didn't need to buy anything but I love that they have smaller named brands that have more holistic and better ingredients for your pets. I noticed the wash stations in the back which is very cool for those who bathe their own pets but we just prefer to do it in our bathtub! I would return here! read more

They do not have wheatgrass which is a disappointment. I do not see any IN store sales in cat food much. I do like that they carry better grain free brands but I will have to say I have a couple other local pet stores that I like better than this one. This place is amazing! The people here are very welcoming of both humans and there pets. Such a nice clean place and there dog food selections are quite healthy and organic. Not sure how long they been opened but we happened to have our dog in the car when we stumble across this place while going to target. But as a promotion they were giving out sample bags of fromma dog food. I mean this sample bag was huge!! They didn't advertise it so you would only know of this promo if you walked in. What a great place!!! The first time we stopped in here was on our way back home from a trip to my parents. The pugs were out of food and I needed to find a place that carried their brand that would still be open. We made it to Pet People with 10 minutes to spare before they closed up shop for the night. When I walked in I asked if they carried "Fromm" and was told yes by the manager, Seth. Seth then walked me back to where it was kept. I had no idea that they had a no grain and limited grain option. I thought they were all the same. I grabbed the bag that we normally get and proceeded to check out. I told him that I was sorry for being such in a rush but I hate going into places just as they're about to close. He told me not to worry about it. We talked for a little bit and I eventually brought the pugs in so they could meet. Since then I have visited this store 3 times. Not for food, but for treats and toys. You may think this is just another pet store...but it's not. Sure, they have food, toys, treats, crates, and pretty much everything you need for your fur baby. BUT what sets them a part is not only the service but the selection. They do not carry anything that is harmful for your pet. For example, they only carry holistic foods and natural treats. No bi-product meal or crap like that. They also do not carry edible items that contain harmful grains like corn. When it comes to the service you get honest answers about what you are giving your dog or cat. They tell you what the differences are between brands and options...as well as what they recommend. The recommendation is based on their experience and what they give their own pets. Sometimes the recommendation is the higher priced, but then other times it is not. They want you to be happy with the selections you made. They have a dog washing station in the back of the store but I haven't actually used it to be able to comment on it. The store overall looks very clean. You would think that the store just opened with how nice and clean everything is. But surprise they're a little over 2 years old. I did join their rewards program and was happy to learn that their coupons do not expire!!! Also they have a frequent food program where you get the 13th bag free. read more

The products that they carry are expensive, but it's so worth it! Everything is high quality, and lasts a long time. The food selection is also amazing! My dog is a picky eater, believe it or not. She would only eat just enough not to starve, but when I started getting her wet dog food from here, she eats everything! I'm pretty sure she won't even chew her food. The self service dog wash is incredibly conventient. My dog is a German Shepherd (I call her a German Shedder), and her hair clogs our bathtub every time! I love this place! The service here is just wonderful. They have helped us fit harnesses on the dogs, find quality cat trees and given good food recommendations. Pet People sells a really good selection of everything for your dog's or cat's needs. They sell high quality harnesses, leashes, beds and toys. The food selection is very good, including raw. You can find Orijen here, which you don't find in some other pet stores. I just wish they would sell Merrick's as one of our dogs is very picky and that's one of the few brands of canned food she will eat. They also have a really good stock of treats. For $10, you can even wash your dog at one of their doggy wash stations. There are about 4 different shampoos supplied and lots of towels and a "fur dryer". If I had the choice, this would be the only pet store I would shop at. read more

Five stars and no less! The self wash stations are convenient and always clean. The rewards program through Pet People is great, and I highly recommend if your pet is on a special diet, or if you self wash your pet frequently. But let me tell you about the service. The service at the Nora location is unmatched. The employees at Pet People are very knowledgeable and have actually saved me from having to take my golden retriever to the vet on multiple occasions. We struggled finding food that she wasn't allergic to and one that she liked, and the staff here were patient and friendly helping us choose the right one. If the food didn't work for us, we took it back and they helped us find the next. My dog struggled with yeast infections in her paws and ears. This led to costly vet bills and finally they told us we needed to start buying hypoallergenic food. One 15lb bag from the vet cost $90. We go through a 25lb bag of food every month. This was not an option for us, so I went to Pet People. One of the employees said her dog had the same issues and once she switched her dog to a potato-free food, she had no more issues. We're 7 months into using this food and my dog's paws and ears look awesome (and she isn't scratching or licking them anymore!). I'm saving a ton of money, and my dog loves the food. I love the staff at Nora Pet People. By far the best pet store I have ever been to. Highly recommend! read more

We love Pet People. This store is merchandised so nicely that you can find exactly what you want very easily. They carry healthy food and treats. The staff that work there are so very friendly and helpful. When we signed up on the web site we were sent lots of great coupons to use in the store. The best part of Pet People is the dog playgroups that are held weekly in the store's community room. The playgroups are free! They have one for small dogs (under 30#) on one night and another for 30# and up on a different night. Our 2 small dogs know when we pull into the parking lot they are going to Pet People for playgroup and can't wait to get to the play room. Great store! read more
