Went to Vetco vaccine clinic and was prescribed two different dosages for my dogs medicine. One dose is totally wrong per weight base. Tried the 800 customer service number and got an off shore call center where a party was going on in background. The was no resolution other than I should take a day off work and go back. The store manager was also unable to help. So, I filed a dispute with CC and will never recommend or go back. Totally useless and now I'm out more $$$ going to another vet read more

i scheduled a groomers apt for 8:30 am and coming to the store i was unable to get in because the doors where closed. petco has a sign outside saying grooming hours are from 8am-closing they also have a sign inside the little lobby telling customers to ring the door bell and a groomer will come to you. well how am i supposed to ring the doorbell if i cant even get in. i saw a worker from the inside and i repeatedly starting knocking on the glass window to get his attention and to show him my phone so he saw i had an apt. the worker then LOOKED ME IN MY EYES and decided to walk away and ignore me. i kept knocking and still not even a glance. so i went out of my way and opened the door myself and when i got inside he looked at me with a mean stare. i then rang the doorbell and the groomer came and i had stated how are customer supposed to come in and ring the doorbell if no one opens the first door for them. she replied and said that the groomers come to you and looked at me and kept walking. Im like 100% sure the worker knows that they have apts before opening hours and i understand the workers having to come to you to open the door but to CHOOSE TO IGNORE A CUSTOMER knowing damn well you get apt before open. maybe im exaggerating but i scheduled my apt a month in advance and ive been waiting for this apt for my dog. so to come and this is the service i get and on top of that its cold and early in the morning of course im going to be upset. read more

I never thought I'd be the person to say "too bad I can't leave zero stars" yet here we are. I wish I could freaking leave negative stars. This review is strictly for grooming but as far as I'm concerned, the whole store can rot. I took my 3 year old golden retriever for grooming as our normal place was booked out 3 weeks. I was told it would be three hours. After 45 minutes I received a call saying he was done. They also mentioned that he was "hitting his head on the cage he was in every time he barked". I hustled down to get him and when they brought him out, the top of his head was bleeding profusely. On top of this, I don't even think they bothered to groom him or bathe him. I was absolutely furious. I voiced my displeasure and was told that it was not a big deal. Almost like I was overreacting. Not a single goddamn person working gave a shit and I took my injured dog home. Two weeks later, and I was finally able to pick all the dried, scabby blood out of his fur. I will NEVER go to this shithole again. The "groomers" are like a bunch of 16 year old kids with no experience grooming animals. A complete waste of money and my poor sweet dog had to suffer. We have taken our dog to the groomer at the Speedway location three times now and have always had a great experience. Our dog is terrified of nail trimmers but they are always able to complete the service on her and do a good job (especially Jeffrey)!! Definitely worth the money for the nail trim, tooth brushing, and paw balming. And thank you to the groomers for always putting up with her!! read more

Oh my goodness. I am still shaking and in complete shock. I booked my dog a haircut at the speedway location ( never have gone through any of the drop off process ) and the drop off was at 8am. I was with my 5 year old daughter and got there around 8 on the dot. The front door opened the second door was cracked so I just assumed and walked in and walked back to the grooming area. ( clearly a mistake ). I was immediately attacked verbally by the woman at the desk. Her name is Kelsey. Like aggressive yelling at me. Telling me she is going to call the cops on me because I technically was breaking and entering. Clearly caught off guard I asked her to not talk to me that way and she just escalated and became more upset. She refused to do my dogs hair so I started walking up to the front to leave while she was still screaming at me. Then when I finally tried to talk her down she agreed to do my dogs hair. I walked back to the grooming area but the more I started to realize what had happened I didn't want to leave my dog with her. Again I'm still in shock and clearly something is going on with her but as someone who also works in customer service this was completely unacceptable and unhinged behavior. I will NEVER be returning to this Petco for anything now and highly advice the managers or owners of this location to take a look at this person. I love going to petco, it's one of my favorite stores. Sadly I have to get them a 3 star because today when I visited them I was disappointed. I have 2 Guinea pigs so I'm always going thereto buy their food and things they need. While I shop I always go and take a look at the Guinea pigs they have in the store. It was so sad to see there was a pair of Guinea pigs that did not look well. They have scabs around their eyes and nose. I got both of my Guinea pigs from this same exact store and they are happy and healthy so I am hoping they are taking care of these 2 Guinea pigs with the care they need to get better. Another thing is the store always seems to be empty. I always have to go shop online for the things I need because they are never in the store. Although I do get some good deals online, it's always nice to go take a look around the store but it's hard to enjoy that when there is nothing to look at :( Now a good thing about petco is that if you download the mobile app you can price match the things in the store with the things that are online and the store will give it to you for the cheaper price. Also if you order stuff online you safe 5% on your items if you have them on repeat delivery. I would highly recommend downloading the app and price matching items in the store because I always save tons when I do that!!!!! read more

Had not been to Petco before but with the covid my furbaby needed her vaccinations and rabie shots because everywhere i called was booked...she also neededa haircut and bath but they were booked a month out. But I didn't know they didn't have an actual clinic but it was a nice setup. I was told when I arrived to text and let them know I was here which I was about 15 mins early for my appt. I waited about 20 mins until they finally called and said I could come in. Which I did and found it was several people waiting so i waited my turn inline about another 15 minutes or so. Once it was my turn they weighed Remy and then i waited about another 10 minutes until it was her turn to be seen. The girl explained the different packages they had and I made my selection. When it was her turn they checked her out thoroughly and informed me of a couple of other things I was not aware of. The process was early and quick and we will be back. read more

The new Speedway Petco store is wonderful. (Next to Kohls now.) It's roomier, cleaner, with more services, and lots of products. I just picked up my dog from being groomed and he looks nice and he seems to feel better. I noticed there is now a self-service dog wash area next to the groomers, and a medical service coming soon. My daughters took my pooch to the Speedway Petco, customer service was awful from the beginning, that should have been a red flag. They had our appointment Time mixed up, they confirmed for an earlier time than the actual appointment . They were rude about EVERYTHING. My dog was to get a bath, a cut, conditioner, flea treatment his nails clipped and teeth brushed. He still had matts on his ears there is a part of his chest that was not fully shaved, his nails are long still. I was charged 144. For them to do a horrible job on my dog. Me and my furry friends have been coming to this Petco on a regular basis for almost a year and a half. Hightlights! - the staff are always polite, engaging, and helpful - the store is generally pretty clean for a space that caters to overexcited puppers - they have small stands throughout the store with cleaning products in case your furred friend has an accident while shopping - So. Many. Options. - Petco rewards! Shopping for a dog and a cat can get expensive but Petco rewards are there to help. Not only do they offer deals on specific categories but they also offer money off for money spent. I can't speak to the pet training or grooming services however - so hopefully other reviewers can provide more insight there. read more

They recommended several rescue groups and Petfinders.com once they learned I was looking for a dog several years ago. I have my, now 6 year old, Beagle/Whippet mix rescued from Louisville after an employee assisted me and took the time to listen. They also have a Well Pet Clinic approximately ever two weeks. Well Pets' Veterinarian and staff, whose office is located in Noblesville, sets up a small clinic in back of the store for yearly exams and/or vaccinations. They offer a variety of package around your pets needs at a reduced price. The Vet is personable, knowledgeable and just wonderful with our pets and US. Highly recommend for those wanting the convenience and pricing for vaccinations or yearly checkups. read more

I took me baby for grooming from head to toe. They lady told me she would be done at 4pm and then called me to pick him up at 2:30pm. When I got him I his ears were still dirty and so was his teeth. His nails were not filed low enough. I payed $80 for this bullshit service and they will not get my money again. I was highly unsatisfied and would nor recommend anyone to use there grooming service. read more

Writing a review for a chain pet store? I've never done this before, but this location deserves it. I come to this Petco weekly, and the staff has always been kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. They go above and beyond helping me find suitable products for my very picky pup. I've honestly never met such helpful sales staff at a chain store. They stock Spot Farms dehydrated food CHEAPER than the listing on Amazon, so that's fantastic. One time, a sales associate spoke with me for 20 minutes as I debated the best type of chew to get my dog. Incredibly helpful and nice! read more

My poor baby was unrecognizable after her first haircut and full body grooming. I was so hopeful that this grooming experience would provide a decent standard for future grooming, but I was blown away at how pitiful she looked. I showed the pics to people at work and to friends and every one of them was wide-eyed and taken aback at how bad my puppy looks. Her hair is longer in some places, cut looks patchy and choppy, and I'm still shaking my head. The hair on her back legs is visibly longer than the rest of her body and also unevenly cut. Only the very tips of her nails were cut, which I discovered when I got scratched up as I held her. Dew claws weren't touched at all. I had to grind the nails myself to take down the sharp edges. Was told her ears were matted around the leather, but I couldn't see that from the pic the groomer sent. I think she had jacked up the haircut so bad that she had to do something to the ears to make it match the rest of her badly trimmed body. And the bow stuck on top of her unevenly cut head did absolutely nothing for the look. Sorely disappointed, will not return, do not recommend. I could've done a better job than this. read more

It's a great store always stocked and has lots of employees with a bountiful amount of info. They have great coupons. I dont know why the lady Below would even complain about her making a mistake and someone not fixing it for her. Privilege much? They're clean and take good care of their animals. I shop here all the time the staff loves my dogs and respects our training boundaries. The groomer is great the fish lady is awesome and animals are adorable and if you aren't a white lady named Karen with silly complaints and yelling at 16 year old girls over things they can't control like stock for a discontinued item or the wrong coupon. They carry many brands of pet foods, have a great selection of toys and treats. My biggest gripe is they while they carry my pets brand, the particular variety is not carried. So, for convenience of one stop shopping, I need to visit their competitor to fill the bowls of every critter in my home. I am reviewing the pet grooming. I have been taking my dog here and I am very happy with how they treat him, how they groom him, and they're fast service at grooming. The girl who does my dog seems to truly like what she is doing and that is all the difference in the world to me. Plus the added bonus is that the grooming is done in front of glass that you can see how the dog is being taken care of.. They have very good operational hours and even do grooming on Sunday, I don't know any other grooming salon that does that. read more

I love shopping at Petco and the employees are always good to me and nice especially when I purchased my guinea pigs and leopard gecko from them. The only issue I have with them is what they are told for leopard gecko care. They claim to say that sand is a good source of bedding which is absolutely not the truth as it can impact your gecko and give it further issues later. They should care for this info more for the animals sake. I was also told sand when I first bought mine and luckily I did lots of research on my own otherwise who knows what could've happened. I love this store but I wish they would change it for reptile carpet or some other source! read more

This location isn't exactly convenient to where we live. But they have good stock of larger items like play pens, pet gates, etc compared to the one on Keystone and 74th. Though it does look like an older store and not as fresh and bright. But I got a great deal on play pens that were going out of stock and it helped tremendously when we had to foster a couple of Pekingese who had unexpectedly lost their firefighter dad. And now that the nearby construction is over we may be coming here more. read more

I have been shopping at this particular store for a very long time. I have always had a coupon for my dog food. The last time I shopped there, I had given the cashier, the same coupon, I always use, when they have them. Which is very often. This particular time I entered the store and was greeted immediately. Upon arriving, I had noticed my coupon was for cat food.(the same brand). I then ask the cashier if I purchased the large bag of "dog" food, if she could honor it. Mind you, every time I come here, they know my dogs name and this has happened before and they honored it as well. That being said, they wouldn't honor it this time. I'm so disappointed. I have taken our 2 dogs to this store for the last few yrs to be groomed but no more. Yesterday Took them in to just get a bath and dry and they still came home dirty. Was so disappointed. Called today and was given an email to send in pictures to manager to show that the one dog was still dirty because he is white but email address is wrong. It looks like they just want the money and do not care. This is a great location. I've been coming here for years despite avoiding most "chain" stores. However, management here is great and everyone on the staff is always very friendly, knowledgable and happy to answers any questions. It's never hard to get quick help here when your in a hurry.
