I enrolled my dog in Level 2 training but chose to withdraw due to ongoing concerns with both the training approach and overall customer experience. During sessions, communication from the trainer was often abrupt and, at times, dismissive. Instructions would be overridden mid-process, with the trainer stepping in to physically take control of my dog instead of allowing me to complete the exercise. This created confusion for my dog and disrupted the trust and consistency I was trying to build. I noticed big regressions in my dog's behaviors who had already mastered simple behaviors but simply signed up for permission of the social part to allow my dog to take advantage of their play area which has also been condemned by others. While Camp Bow Wow owners, who are also the trainers, are sold on reintroducing known skills, i.e., "sit," with their incentive methods--such as hand signals that were not part of her original training--without a clear transition seemed to add to that confusion. The inconsistency between my handling and the trainer's approach made it difficult to reinforce anything effectively at home. There were moments that felt unnecessarily harsh. For example, when my dog was in heat, the situation was handled with urgency and comments that came across as unprofessional rather than constructive. Customer service was another issue. Phone interactions were often abrupt, including being placed on hold without explanation and occasionally met with argumentative responses. In person, there were instances where staff handled situations without clear communication--such as physically repositioning my dog without first asking--which could have been handled more respectfully. Overall, I expected a more collaborative and professional environment, especially for a training setting where consistency and trust are critical. read more

Kind of frustrated with this place. I called one week ahead for an interview and boarding. I was told they have plenty of spots for my dog but upon the interview after my dog passed and was approved to stay I was told they're booked. Didn't even try to make up for the miscommunication or anything just basically SOL. Because the timing when they could interview my dog with the assumption he could be boarded according to THEIR employee I had no time to find another boarding place. Bad for business. read more

I LOVE this location! I took my pup to the Carmel location once and I will never do it again! That's another review for another time. All of the staff here know my dog by name and greet him with excitement. They want him to be there and that gives me so much peace when I leave him. They have video cameras working from the minute you walk in until the minute you pick up. You can download an app onto your phone and check on your dog anytime. Thank you to Camp Bow Wow Lawrence! This experience was phenomenal from start to finish. I had not sent my dog to boarding/daycare in a few years so I was super anxious about having to take her back. I chose Camp Bow Wow Lawrence because the reviews were amazing AND I saw that they have live cameras! I mean, I may or may not have gone $75 over my data plan to watch my pup play while I was on vacation. Don't judge. Anyway, from the beginning, the staff was amazing! I filled out the Canine Camper Interview form online and got a call the next day to schedule. This interview has your dog go into the play area with one female dog, then one male dog, then both, to see how he/she interacts. This is great because they make sure every dog is well socialized prior to allowing them to stay all day for day camp. The day of your interview is a free day of camp which is also a bonus! Another great thing is that the price for boarding includes day camp which is not always the case with other companies. 5/5 plus bonus points for Camp Bow Wow Lawrence! My pup and I took a quick test drive to see if we liked the place and they wanted to see if my puppy was compatible with her cohorts. So they took her back and my puppy was introduced to several other pups who were staying overnight. I was thrilled to see that she passed the test. (Basically she ignored most of the others, and seemed curious about the layout of the room.) I got to watch her with the others on video. We didn't end up going with them but only because our neighbors could keep her for the weekend we were away. I would try them out next time we need to board our little princess since they seemed friendly, the place seemed clean, and the other pups seemed to be happy with everything. We've taken our puppy here quite a few times and she always has a fun time! We pick her up sleepy and ready to nap for the night and whole next day. I love that they have the cameras, it is so nice to be able to check in on her and see her playing with the other dogs. Definitely recommend taking your pup every so often for socialization! We took our dog here for a while, I'm talking a few years and had no issue. All of a sudden, issue after issue, I don't know if they are under new management or what. We scheduled a works bath etc. show up and they give me an application to fill out, I have a dog and a kid with me, are you kidding, im supposed to wrangle them and fill out this application? Also we have been coming here for years, why are we filling out an application with all of our information and our dog's information? Makes no sense. Then We are told that our dog has all of the correct shots except Bordetella shot, which he has never had and has been to this location many times before. They also said they emailed us the application at the time of setting up our appointment, which is false, we set up our appointment over the phone. Bad business, I do not recommend. read more

Won't be returning, liked the daycare but had terrible experience boarding. I watched my dog on the cameras be in his room the entire morning, when I finally called and asked why they told me they were "really busy." Apparently too busy to let my dog out into the play area for hours. Then when I picked him up they gave me his bag and I saw four of his food bags were still there. So I am guessing they just didn't feed him lunch any day he was there. Do yourself a favor and take your dog to the Southport location, their hours are a little less convenient but they've never neglected to feed my dog. read more

From the very beginning it was easy to see that my dogs were in good hands at Camp Bow Wow, Lawerance location. The thorough checking of health records, tour of their top notch facility as well as the meet and greet to test the tempermant of all dogs put my mind at ease. Dozer and Layna were able to play all day in their appropriate size play yards during the day and allowed to be together at night. I was half way across the world yet I was able to check on them playing each day to know they were having fun. We were able to schedule some training while they were there for 10 days and felt like they came home better behaved dogs. Thank you so much! read more

The manager at this place is terrible. The first time I took my puppy Prince she was very rude with me regarding his vaccinations. As a puppy, he had not had his rabies shot yet, but instead of just telling me that was the issue in a professional manner she was rude and VERY confrontational. Today, April 25th I had an appointment for Prince to get his interview for sleeping over .The groomer came out she played with Prince and he was great for her. As soon as the manager came out Prince's demeanor changed. The Manager yet again was rude to me and the groomer (her team member) this time. She corrected something the groomer said right in front of me (a customer). I felt like we should have left as soon as I saw that the manager was the one doing the interview, but I wanted to give her a second chance. When she took Prince back I could hear her yelling at him to sit down and seconds later she brought him out shouting, "we can't take him." She said he lunged or bit at one her team members while trying to put a second leash on him. who knows what happened when she took him back, but what I do know is that I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS with a place like this again. The manager is just as inhumane to the animals as she is to her team. I hope the owner considers seeking someone to replace her. He and his wife are nice people, but that one working for them is a bad representation of the company. read more

I have learned to appreciate the Camp Bow Wow brand. When the Raymond St location closed I came here. This is a brand new location, less than 2 months old. During my first visit, I got to chat with Laura who is one of the owners. She is super friendly and has a real love for animals plus has years of various professional pet experience. I have one pup who can be a handful but after talking with Laura, my nervous were put to ease! My dogs just returned from a 5 day stay here. I loved that I could watch them on the Camp Bow Wow app and Camper Cams during the day. They came home exhausted and were sent off by a few staffers all mentioning how missed my dogs would be. In fact one staffer walked one of my dogs and another walked out the left over food supply to my car. Very sweet and helpful! They also offer reasonable grooming options here and training classes. I opted for a nail trim which was only $10. Affordable and easy. Bottom line, my dogs will be back. read more

The groomer refused to groom our dog stating he was aggressive without even assessing or meeting him first, also refused to refund our money . Had zero issues with this place. Whenever I take my fur babies somewhere, I am so cautious since I want the best for them. After reading reviews on Camp Bow Wow, and calling the facility a couple of times, I decided to take one of my babies for an interview. She is so scared to be in an environment where she hears dogs barking, and of course seeing strangers, but the staff did not give up on her. They made her feel so welcomed and kept reassuring her she'd be okay. Their live cams came in handy when I decided to leave Layah there for a couple of hours. I love that the Lawrence location keeps their live webcams on and actually lets the dogs out during weekend hours to play. Our 13 week old German Shepard puppy came home tired and happy. We will be long-time customers at this particular location. However, If you're going to take your dog to Camp Bow Wow, stick with the LAWRENCE location. We had a horrible experience at the Carmel location last weekend with blatant neglect and refusing to turn on their webcams. So, STEER CLEAR OF THE CARMEL ONE! read more

This was a wonderful place that I felt very comfortable taking my dog and my dog LOVED playing with her friends there. There was an issue that happened with shot records. The issue was not a big deal and was handled within minutes. The problem was after the fact. They sent me a survey and I filled it out honestly. Still I had no intentions of no longer using the company. The response I got back from filling out the survey THEY SENT TO ME was rude and dismissive. I wasn't asking for anything, I wasn't even complaining, I was just honestly filling out their survey. The staff is always friendly and treats the dogs like family. They work with local animal rescues to offer daycare and even foster for a few rescues which in turn allows the animals to gain much needed social interaction. Great Service! Had last minute plans to visit family for the Fourth & needed a good kennel for our playful 18-mth old GSD. Used Yelp & noted Camp Bow Wow came highly rated AND had a "cabin" avail ! The kennel has WiFi so we could check in on our Maestro at play during the drive. Tho our link was kinda Lo-Fi, I applaud the effort...must be a quality operation if any customer can peer in. The first time we took our boys we thought everything went great until we ended up with 2 dogs with the flu.. took some time off and went back to our other doggie day care place. Decided to give camp bow wow another shot due to being so close to home. The cameras are a great option until you're able to witness the employees following your dog around and continuing to corner them. Then they drag out and leave in a kennel. Called and went and picked up... if I wanted to keep my dogs in a crate, I would have kept them at home. Paying for abuse.. both dogs ended up with the flu AGAIN. Will not be back, will continue to share with everyone our experience. read more

I have taken my little guy to lots of daycares because I move around a lot and work all over town. This is 100% the best doggie daycare in the Indy area, especially if you have a little dog. They separate by size and even have a 'teacup' area when they have enough tiny dogs. I love that!! And I don't know how they do it, but somehow he smells better when I pick him up. He never smells like heavy chemicals or dog pee. And even more importantly, all the staff is super sweet and seem to really care. When you walk in you can see monitors of the dogs in their area, and there is always someone in there playing with and watching the dogs. They tell you who they played with and let you know anything cute they did that day. They have the dogs 'make' little Christmas presents if you want that I just had to buy. So adorable!! I can't say enough about this place. I'm very very particular about my little guy and I trust them with him 100%. read more

This is a really nice place to drop off your dog. Very clean and well kept. Someone is ALWAYS monitoring play time. Having the live video on your phone is super comforting when you want to check in on your pup. They are also very understanding if you have any special requests or instructions for your dog.
