Great place to get your pup socialized, trained and acclimated to water. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff! Love that they add swimming and socializing in every class. Will definitely be back for more advanced classes

Our dog went here for 9 days while we were out of town. We chose Alpha K9 U because he wasn't forced to be a part of doggy day care all day. (He really isn't a doggy day care kind of dog) and we got to choose extra outings for him. Like 30 min walks and 30 min fitness play times. This way he still got some energy out when not participating in the days are activities. He came home happy and healthy. We will use them in the future for sure! I called 3x during our vacation and they always gave me real updates without any issues.

Our vet recommended this place and I will be telling them this story and emphasizing how they should stop sending patients here. The people that work here, especially the manager are the rudest, most unorganized and unprofessional business I have ever had to deal with. Let's go all the way back to June 5th when we first called this place seeking a consultation for our dog. We were told to email Rachel and that she would get back to us after her vacation the following week. I decided to wait until she was back to email her. My first email was sent on June 11th. My second was on June 13 and my third was on June 14th. Finally when there was no response within 2 days from the last email, I decided to call. She had a family emergency which is more than understandable! Rachel made contact with us on June 18th and from there we set up an appointment (see pictures below). June 27th rolls around. My fiancé and I both take time off work (I'm hourly so I do not get paid for this time). They only do consultations from 9am to 5pm, work hours for the typical person who works in an office like my fiancé and I do. I hadn't received an email discussing what we would need to do, or have, etc. I assumed it would be an at home consultation since that's where my dog acts like his true self. I was never told specifically though, so I will take partial blame on this for not asking for clarification. About 15 minutes before noon I called to see what was going on. I was then informed the consultation would be at their location. This wasn't a big deal since we live 5 minutes away. I was also informed that our appointment was at 3 and not 12... even though I specifically said 12 in my reply to her. I explained how I had a phone meeting from 2:30 to 4 and that wouldn't work. I told her that I couldn't take off work again because I would be losing more money and I had already done it, but that their mistake made the time taken off pointless. I said because of that it would really have to be after 5. She said absolutely under no circumstances would she do after 5. She also said I was partially to blame for the communication error (how is beyond me). Finally she said she would talk to her boss and see if they could do it after 5. She said they would call us in a few days. Given that the next week was the 4th of July holiday, we expected a call the week of July 8th. After not receiving a call that week (now 2 weeks after last speaking to Rachel) we call again. My fiancé speaks with the manager Roger. Roger says he can schedule us in after 5 but that he would call us later that afternoon to let us know. In addition to that he said he would email us the paperwork to get set up for the appointment(we never told until now that there was paperwork to fill out) we wait for the phone call and the email with the paperwork and neither of them get there. So my fiancé calls again today, July 30th, and is told by Meg that they can't help us because we want a consultation after 5. I call myself once my fiancé tells me this and ask to speak with Roger. I TRY (I capitalize this for a reason) to explain to him what has been going on for the past 2 MONTHS now with communication problems and how we just want to get our dog in because our vet recommended them to us and our dogs problems had been getting worse since our first contact. Before I finish telling my story I am CUT OFF by Roger. "Give me your email and I'll send you the paper work". I give him my email and go to continue on with my story. I am then CUT OFF AGAIN by Roger "Fill out the paper work and we will go from there. It's water under the bridge". At this point I'm just shocked not only because he keeps interrupting me but because the lack of respect overall. So I say "Well can't I finish telling you what's been going on? It's been really frustrating" to which he replies "No it's water under the bridge. It's either water under the bridge or you can go somewhere else". I am seriously at a loss for words here. I finally tell him that we will not be using their services and to have a good day". LONG STORY SHORT: - We wasted 2 months with them due to their lack of organization and communication. - The staff and manager that we dealt with are extremely disrespectful and rude - They do not take ownership to any of their mistakes and blame the customer If this is how they treat potential clients, how do they treat the dogs? I've worked in customer service for many years. I'm not trying to be one of those people, but when customer service is this bad, they need to be called out. P.S look at their hours on this page and also the screenshot I have attached. They're open until 6:30pm...

Andrew spent an hour or two at the house, observing the dogs and talking to us about what we were hoping to accomplish relative to what he was seeing. Before leaving, he gave us a couple of simple things to work on prior to the start of our consecutive board-and-train sessions two weeks later. Frankie and Ellie are now back with us and while they still have enormous amounts of energy, their ability to respond to commands, walk with a loose leash (zero pulling) and maintain their "place" is incredible! Selective use of the e-collars has even allowed us to redirect their attention in the midst of their loudest, most raucous roughhousing episodes. We can't recommend Andrew enough. He has a way that brings about significant behavioral changes in the dogs while building the confidence of owners: it's amazing to witness the transformations. We are so grateful that we found Andrew and would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone looking to reconnect and improve their relationship with their dog(s)!

During sessions, communication from the trainer was often abrupt and, at times, dismissive. Instructions would be overridden mid-process, with the trainer stepping in to physically take control of my dog instead of allowing me to complete the exercise. This created confusion for my dog and disrupted the trust and consistency I was trying to build. I noticed big regressions in my dog's behaviors who had already mastered simple behaviors but simply signed up for permission of the social part to allow my dog to take advantage of their play area which has also been condemned by others. While Camp Bow Wow owners, who are also the trainers, are sold on reintroducing known skills, i.e., "sit," with their incentive methods--such as hand signals that were not part of her original training--without a clear transition seemed to add to that confusion. The inconsistency between my handling and the trainer's approach made it difficult to reinforce anything effectively at home. There were moments that felt unnecessarily harsh. For example, when my dog was in heat, the situation was handled with urgency and comments that came across as unprofessional rather than constructive. Customer service was another issue. Phone interactions were often abrupt, including being placed on hold without explanation and occasionally met with argumentative responses. In person, there were instances where staff handled situations without clear communication--such as physically repositioning my dog without first asking--which could have been handled more respectfully. Overall, I expected a more collaborative and professional environment, especially for a training setting where consistency and trust are critical.
