My dogs have been going here for a couple months and love it! The staff are very kind, friendly and you can tell they're passionate about pet care. Initially I was unsure about bringing one dog there because he can be very nervous and timid, but the staff ensured he had a safe and fun introduction to help him build confidence in socializing. I'm so thankful the trainer saw his potential because now he seems more comfortable and polite when interacting with both people and other dogs. This place is the best! We've been bringing our dogs here fairly regularly for 6 months now, for daycare and boarding. The dogs will literally drag us to the door to go inside because they love going to daycare here. This never happened at any other daycare we've tried. The staff always remembers my dogs' names. I love that my dogs have access to fresh air all day and can run in and out as they please. I love that the staff actively play with the dogs and are super attentive. We've taken them to daycares with cameras, and can see that the staff doesn't interact much with the dogs. Here I know they do. My dogs are much smaller than the majority of the dogs who attend Puppy Playground, but I believe the staff looks out for them when they play with the big kids. We moved here over the summer from out-of-state and were worried about finding a doggy daycare that both us and our dog loved as much as our old one...and we are so thankful that we found Puppy Playground! Our dog only goes about once per week, but the staff was already greeting Ollie by name as we walked in on our third visit. Everyone is super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly cares about all of their client's dogs as if they were their own. Ollie knows the route there and starts whining as we pull in to get out of the car, and then bolts as fast as he can to the door to go play. It's great to have no worries about dropping your dog off for the day, and to always pick up an exhausted and happy dog! I work semi-close to their Avon location, and after the initial behavior evaluation you can take your dog to either one which is a great option to have. I do wish they had webcams as some other doggy daycare places do, but I can't imagine ever taking him anywhere else! read more

Our german shepherd Hendrix comes here for daycare once a week and boards during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays we go on. We know he loves it there, because as soon as the car turns into the parking lot area he starts whining and will SPRINT to go inside. He doesn't even look back at us when we leave him. They truly care for your dogs, will tell you stories of their day, and will wash your dog if they get really dirty there, even w/o you paying for the bath. Deb (owner) is great, and all the slightly hippy kids that work there really love their work. $20 a day, $10 half day $30 for overnight boarding (Day of play included) We recently spent $630 on boarding their over our honeymoon, we could have saved hundred by putting him in a place that keeps them in individual runs (probably cuz most boarders are so afraid of fighting, which is reasonable because they don't charge enough to have an attentive staff). However, our puppy came out of almost 3 weeks of "boarding" nearly as happy as when he went in, and a few pounds lighter! read more

I can't say enough great things about this place. My 6 month old pup named Roo, had his first day at daycare today and he loved it! The whole process was seamless, they took him for a quick evaluation and then told me he could stay for the day. In the middle of his stay, they sent me a video and also told me how he was doing. This was so perfect for a dog mom who worries too much. When I picked him up they gave me a report card and didn't even make me pay for the half day stay (usually you get 2 hours free the first time. The process to check in and check out is super quick. I wanted a place Roo could go and socialize but also give me the time I need in the evenings, which is hard with a wild puppy on the loose. When I picked him up he wouldn't leave my lap in the car and passed out in my arms, has been asleep ever since. I'd say he had a great time! He will most definitely be back next week! read more

My dogs and I love Puppy Playground! They are greeted by name and the staff all appear to genuinely love dogs. If you have any questions/concerns, the owner is happy to talk to you (in person, on the phone or online). My pups are small, so I was worried they'd be overrun, but I know they are closely watched, get plenty of time outs when overwhelmed, and get individual attention. There's been more than one occasion when I came to pick them up, that one of them was on a lap getting loved on. When I pick them up they are smiling, tired, and always clean. I mention this because I stopped taking them to their previous boarding facility after picking them up on two separate occasions with a lot dried urine in their fur. They're fully potty-trained, so I can't help but believing this happened because they were not taken out enough there. This is not at all the case at Puppy Playground. They always look great when I get them. And if they don't look great going in, I can book a bath for them while they're there. I also like that they require a temperance test, to make sure your and other dogs are comfortable in that setting. It made me much more confident that my little guys could hold their own. All-in-all, I think it's a wonderful place for my pups to burn off energy and socialize. read more

Very happy with the service, I brought my 2year old Belgian Malinois Mix to daycare there for the first time yesterday for his initial evaluation. He passed his evaluation and stayed the rest of the day, upon pick up I got a "report card" detailing how he did that day. I'm a very worried pet parent so I personally really enjoyed that. He came home happy and tired. I also brought him back today and the staff seemed happy he was back, which is a relief. Very unhappy with Puppy Playground! Our dog recently stayed there for approximately 10 days. During that time, it appears she was injured - a significant corneal abrasion. We have yet to have been provided any details. Moreover, despite having our numbers and despite us having actually called the day before we picked her up, no-one called us or even mentioned it to us on the phone. The notes indicated only that she appeared to have "a pretty serious eye infection" which had been ongoing for "several days." Additionally, when we called to find out more, we were promised a call back "after investigation" but it's now 5 days later and we have heard nothing. read more

There is so much space for Ollie to run and play, and he comes home absolutely exhausted after a day at puppy playground. It is nice and reassuring when we walk in the door and they already recognize him before signing in. Our pup knows exactly where he is before even pulling up to the building, whining in the car running around the back and front seats gearing up for a day of fun and adventure! The only thing I wish they would have is a webcam because my wife loves to watch them play when we are bored at work! It is a nice way to kill some time and see that they are all having fun. Note that dogs are REQUIRED to come in for a supervised play for several hours before they can use the facilities. This is due to the commune-style play room. While a tad inconvenient, it made me feel much more comfortable leaving my dog there knowing that the other pups had been screened. read more

I'm very disappointed my experience did not live up to the other reviews. I'm honestly surprised they do not more negative ones. I will not be taking my dog back. When filling out the evaluation form I selected the time I was going to show up. I chose 7 a.m. because they told me the earlier the better. When I arrived they were not ready for me. They were scrambling to find my enrollment form and ask if I submitted my dog's vaccine papers. I had written out some concerns on the enrollment form and they didn't acknowledge any or ask if I had any questions. I had to pull information out of them and tell them more about my dog since they didn't seem to care to learn. The evaluation was supposed to start out with a couple of dogs in a small room and last for two hours - that wasn't the case. They just let him lose in the play room. Then I was asked if he was going to stay a half day or full day. I was confused because the evaluation wasn't over. I wasn't given a tour of the facilities so I was not aware of the environment my dog was in. All I knew was from what I saw online. Dog or baby, a new customer needs to see the facilities. When I picked him up I had to tell the front desk who Charlie was and when they brought him out they said 'is this him?' They did not tell me how he did or who he played with like they said they would. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but after sending an email, the owner did not respond to any of my concerns, apologize or offer anything - only recommended I take him to their west side location. But I guess having an average of 150 a day; one more dog is just a dog to them. That's how I felt we were treated, nothing special, just another dollar sign. read more
