I brought it back to return and the worker told me they have a no refund policy and pointed to a sign I didn't see when I checked out. I showed the worked the stain and said, don't you have a no stain policy? The worker said no, it's your responsibility to fully check over the item before purchasing. That sure would have been nice to know BEFORE I bought anything! I can't even donate these pants to the Salvation Army because THEY have a no stain policy. I will never shop here again. You can get higher quality items at free clothing closets. Save your money.

Little saucers I find at my local goodwill for 99 cents, around $20. Tiny jars of nothing-special buttons: $24. The vibe was decidedly crotchety-old-should-not-run-a-business. I get businesses dealing with public can be not fun, but the tone of the whole place was just "get off my lawn." No thanks! Friends, spend your time and money elsewhere. These people should retire.

I was surprised, especially since in past years, Freight House was a friendly place to stop. I left right away and was upset in the car. Suggestion 1: let people know when they sit down at the counter if you are out of menu items. Suggestion 2: don't be rude to your customers. Wow, can't believe that I actually have to "suggest" that.

It seems to be organized by color. So you have to go through the racks quite a bit to find something. I really needed work pants and they did have a good selection of pants and jeans. I ended up finding a great pair of brand name black work pants for $4.99. One great piece that is of good quality and will get a lot of wear beats out 5 pieces that you may wear once. Plus: no sales tax in MA! Staff were friendly. This place seems like it could use more TLC: more staff to give the store attention and more stock shipped to the store to give locals more selection.

This evening I went to Bootlegger's to look at shoes for myself and my partner, and have to say…read morethat it was the worst experience I have ever had in a store. When I entered the store one of the saleswomen did not greet me but instead looked uncomfortable by my presence. As I walked in I began to look at the clearance rack in the rear of the store prior to looking at full priced shoes, and was followed throughout the aisles. Not once did the saleswoman ask me if I needed assistance, but continued to monitor me. As I made my way towards the woman's shoe aisles, she continued to observe my every move and proceeded to remind me that I was in the woman's shoe section. At this point it was apparent that she would continue to follow me and make me feel uncomfortable, so I decided that it would be best to leave the store and try another shoe store. This overt profiling is something that should not be accepted and is something that was extremely demeaning for me. I will not shop at this location again.
