I didn't even have to step foot in the door to this place to write this review. I scheduled my 2…read moreshih tzus for grooming, made the appointments 2 days ago. One of them is 14 years old and is in CHF. Before I say what I'm about to say - I completely understand that if a facility does not have oxygen tanks and other medical resources/staff to aid in the event of an emergency, that they will not take my dog in CHF for grooming - I get that part. I spoke to THREE different people about this, thoroughly explaining my dog's condition and each time I was NOT told that that was a dealbreaker. I continued to make their accounts, requested bookings, and uploaded their vaccination records and medical records (particularly for my dog with CHF). Everything was approved and verified by the staff - per what their portal was saying - and the appointments have been on the schedule for 2 days. To add on to this, they actually had to last-minute reschedule one of the dog's appointments due to a staff emergency. I was fine with that, but again, there was no implication at all that the appointment was at risk for being cancelled due to my dog's condition, hence being rescheduled. It was rescheduled and I waited another day with no sort of outreach from Wagging Tails about anything.... until THIS MORNING (both appointments were supposed to be today) I get a text message because god forbid they have the decency to make a phone call, saying that both appointments have been cancelled due to my dog's condition and the lack of equipment/medical resources on hand. THAT WAS NOT BROUGHT UP ONE TIME, EACH TIME I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ABOUT MY CHF DOG'S APPOINTMENT. I am extremely displeased with the lack of communication and professionalism, as well as overall respect by this place. When I called this morning to ask again, WHY, this was being done in the first place, but more so WHY was this not communicated to me beforehand when I scheduled the appointments days ago... AND SPOKE WITH YOUR STAFF DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS CONCERN???? Of course, whoever picked up the phone with me this morning had no idea why I was so displeased... claiming that my dog's condition was "never brought up in discussion prior to now"... don't even get me started. I truly could keep writing about how this place is a huge waste of you and your animals' times, but now I have to start the whole process over and desperately search for grooming for my dogs all over again! Wagging Tails, I strongly suggest you do better on your end because this isn't looking great for you guys, and I can confidently claim that I will not be considering this place in any future, let alone recommending it to anyone. I also see that I am one of MANY poor reviews about your establishment... yikes!

Chris was an excellent educator and guide, while the terrain we covered was pretty and appropriate for the falcons' hunt. I was part of a small group of just six people who joined to learn more about Harris' hawks and a number of other birds used for falconry, as well as a broad array of background on the activity itself, dating back 4000 years. I enjoyed the experience of having one of the hawks alight on my (safely-gloved) hand, as well as the hike and hunt experience. My particular outing saw the lives of no furry woodland creatures lost, and so it was more purely about the stalking efforts of the birds, seeing them in action, observing their cues and habits, and generally enjoying their majesty - which is all I really wanted anyway. If you've ever thought about falconry experiences before, this is an excellent shop to use. And if you've never thought about it before, I'd urge you to reconsider! Highly recommended.

I naturally had to text him: WTF? He explained that he'd snagged a Groupon to NEF with his girlfriend and that it was, in fact, totally rad. I investigated the website and resolved that I would be the next on the old newsfeed to sport a hawk... then five months passed. Fortuitously, I was finally able to find a friend who would (1) humor my request for a roadtrip [the falconing grounds are 1h 45m from the city], and (2) refrain from flinching at the price [$130 pp for an extended intro session]. One Spotify playlist titled "Falconing" later, we were off. We pulled into a driveway with a ramshackle barn and a few Harris Hawks hanging around on perches. Chris introduced himself and launched into a lengthy treatise on their mating habits, pecking order, hunting proclivities and adaptive skills. He let us pepper him with questions, and it was really cool to hear someone so knowledgeable talk about his favorite topic. Then we walked into an extremely chilly, foggy field (read: the Scotland scenes in Skyfall) and Chris showed us how to get a one and a half pound hawk to land on us from neighboring trees. We also strolled around for a bit, and our bird scouted ahead of us. It was, in fact, totally rad. I snapped copious photos up until feeding time (read: dead mice), then we returned to the driveway to put the birds back where they came from. I would heartily recommend this adventure to anyone who likes doing Cool Stuff (see also: trapeze class, dog sledding, zorbing), or anyone who wants to buy the coolest gift ever for someone awesome.

Prior to visits, she would always call to ask clarifying questions which showed she was truly invested in providing quality care. She very much put our mind at ease. For fair rates she came for daily visits, cleaned the litter box, refreshed food and water, and brushed and loved on our fur baby. Laura also took notes of her visits and left them for us to review, all of which were peppered with endearing anecdotes of her time. I have no doubt she provides the same exemplary service for dogs, too. I would recommend Laura to anyone. If not for moving out of state we would continue to rely on her knowledge, skills, and abilities.

I've offered to work out a financial arrangement. Even large corporations allow for life events. Airlines charge change fees. Not only is the owner unwilling to accommodate unexpected issues but she is completely non-responsive. There is no phone and emails for the most part go unanswered. I've taken a few of my dogs to this facility previously and the trainers have been excellent. Sadly, when I've mentioned my current situation to a few friends, they have had similar issues. Guess I will lose the entire fee. My dog may not have learned much but I have. I will never go there nor recommend Animal Alliances. I generally don't write these things unless I have had an excellent experience and I love to share positive stories. But unfortunately, I felt it necessary to warn others. We recently adopted a new puppy (Nala) to keep our 3 year old Golden doodle (Augie) company…read more Although the two dogs are siblings from different litters, they didn't immediately take to being together. Unlike Augie, who was always sweet and extremely mellow even as a puppy, Nala bit us in the face, barked, destroyed things in our home and terrorized Augie to the extent that he would run away from her. We weren't sure we could keep her because she was so badly behaved and seemed untrainable. In the span of 3 weeks, David transformed Nala from a challenging puppy into a dream puppy. She obeys all the commands, walks off leash in our wooded neighborhood, sleeps hours later than when she left and most importantly she is able to play well with Augie who now seeks her out and willingly allows her even to sleep in his own bed. David sent dozens of videos so we could watch her while she was in training and learn the language she was learning from David. He kept in contact and was even able to drop her off and meet our other dog for a walk with Nala. Without Massachusetts Dog Training, we would likely have given our wonderful puppy away and never realized what a gem we had. David helped to uncover Nala's true potential and helped us to realize how smart, sweet and special she is. We will be forever grateful for his wisdom, expertise and love for our Nala.
