    Grilled chicken sandwich
    Eric C.

Spacious interiors and happy staff are what I anticipate from any visit to Tractor. This visit was no exception. Upon entry, there is a sign asking you to check in using a QR code. This also provides you with access to their menu once you've shared your details. I was here for a business lunch, so I took it easy and got a chicken sandwich and a raspberry lemon verbena kombucha. The chicken sandwich was pretty darn good. Grilled nicely and stuffed with nice slices of chicken and arugula, it definitely hit the spot. The kombucha was delicious. I love anything lemonade-ish and this was that. Nice and tart with the kombucha bubbliness and goodness? Yum.

This place is definitely unique. Didn't know there were hipster sandwich shops in this town. Parking is available on the side streets. Nothing in front. The inside is trendy and ultra modern. Very clean looking. I wasn't sure what to expect so I let my friend decide what I should eat. Snap pea, potato, mint salad - exactly what it sounds like. Quite tasty. Salad is mostly made of peas. Roast carrot, ancient grains - this one was really bland. Actually didn't like it at all. Tasted like nothing but carrots to me. Quinoa kale - not too bad. Can't go wrong with quinoa anything. Chicken sandwich - tasty. Mind you, anything grilled with melted cheese is beautiful. Tomato fennel soup - very tomatoey. Nice and thick. Food quality is definitely there, but their portions are tiny. For a few bucks I was hoping I would get more than an ice cream scoop worth of food. I ended up spending almost $30 here and still left hungry. I was tempted to hit McDonald's afterwards. I guess there's a market for this though.

    1/2 sandwich and stew combo

We came here for a quick bite on a Sunday morning and decided on a stew & sandwich combo. The ordering process was simple as you order up front and then find a table and wait until the server brings you your meal. The stew and sandwich combo was a cup of stew (alternatively you can choose soup) and half a sandwich. They have 3 choices of stew and sandwich to choose from. I ordered the turkey chili and short rib sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. The only thing that made my sandwich less enjoyable was that the toast was a bit burnt resulting in a bitter taste and took attention away from the short rib. Their chocolate pistachio cookie was a nice treat too.

Roasted beet salad, wild mushroom and truffle ditalini pasta salad, grilled tofu and grilled avocado

3.5 stars: Nice addition to Olympic Village for a healthy, quick bite. I usually pick two salads (roasted beets and the wild mushroom and truffle pasta salad are both delicious ) with a protein. Tractor "invented" the grilled avocado which is good with the squirt of lemon. Some of the other salads I have had have been a bit of a "miss", something about them was not fresh or else the dressing tasted a bit off. I also wouldn't say the portions are that generous although I eat a lot and this is a healthy place so maybe I should take a hint :)

We wanted something light and healthy so we decided to have lunch at Tractor. We normally go to the one on 4th, but decided to give this one a try. They have a large selection of salads and a choice of 4 different sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable! We ordered the Turkey sandwich - 5* definitely juicy and light. No complaints! Loved it! Persian Chickpea Salad - 2.5 stars - not very flavorful...i liked the apple slices that you find in every few bites. Lemon Kale Salad - 3 stars Service - 3 stars, nothing fancy, nothing over the top, just mediocre. Ambience a very clean, very nice and bright (during the day) definitely a great environment to have lunch! Washrooms were clean also! I will continue to come back for soup and sandwich!

I love coming here whenever I need a healthy lunch. A lot of places taste good but make you feel guilty: not Tractor! I used to order the 1/2 Chicken Bowl when I still ate meat and the meat was always cooked well. Nowadays, I order the Tofu Bowl or the Avocado Bowl and it's just as yummy. Super customizable options, and plenty of options for vegans!

Pretty interesting, I have tried it for the first time and it was very delicious. Its a pretty healthy food with lots of vegetables and quite a bit of protein. I took off one star as it was surprisingly hot there and air conditioning was either not efficient or strong enough. Food and customer service were great.

Healthy food doesnt have to be lackluster and flavorless. Moroccan bowl had zero spices in it at all. Was basically unsalted airline food.

I mostly do the build-your-own salad bowls,…read morewhere you can combine a variety of interesting "salads" with a base and optional protein of your choosing. The chili-lime tofu, my go-to, is grilled fresh and juicy with a tangy marinade. I find these bowls very filling, but the price adds up quickly as you add more salad scoops, so I find it best to be conservative with my estimate of how much I think I need to eat. Besides the salad bowls, they have some hot entrees. I tried the Moroccan chickpea hot bowl and the tomato soup and both were a little bland, which was especially disappointing for something labelled "Moroccan". I would go back and try some different entrees to see if anything else is better, but I would say the salads are likely the best choice here. They have a very limited selection of "healthy" baked goods too. I really liked the chocolate pistachio cookie. As you would expect, it's significantly less sweet and has a slightly drier texture than a regular cookie, but if you like that kind of "better for you" treat, it's good. Very cocoa-forward. I've had good experiences with the service. The staff is friendly enough and usually pretty fast. It's counter service, but they'll usually bring your food to you at your table. There's a good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside when the weather allows. It's minimalist but clean.

This is the place where I usually buy cakes for the office. Their cakes are pre-made and placed in the displays for you to choose from. They make cakes throughout the day, but if you're unlucky they could be low on choices if you're there at the wrong time. If you have time, order ahead, but I don't usually have any problems with walk ins. The most recent cakes that I purchased were the Lemon Meringue and the Chocolate. Both cakes were sweet, light and fluffy. They were a hit in the office.

The HBC Gourmet Market is a little known great eatery in downtown Vancouver. It is located on the bottom floor of the Hudson's Bay Company (next to the Pacific Centre food court). It appears to be relatively unknown because Yelp doesn't know about it and so many people are always asking where I buy my lunch! Here you will find a very tasty selection of typical deli fare... The soups, salads, and sandwiches are their main selects but there is a whole lot more! My favourites are the Thai Chicken soup and the Chipotle Chicken Soup... usually ordered with a Greek salad. I am always so pleased with my lunch that I made this my very first review on Yelp!

Korean guy at the front waves at us, asks how many people, and directs us to a seat. Then another Korean guy comes over and scolds us, telling us to next time please wait at the front until being seated. Clearly they have some organizational issues here and not a great start to this visit. We place our order. Food for 2 of our 4 arrive about 10 mins later. The food for the other 2 people arrive another 20 mins later. Meanwhile the food for the first 2 ppl just sit there. Thankfully they were in clay pots so it was still warm at least, but this is ridiculous. There is no reason for this. If you're slow to get food out, fine, but bring it all out at once. The restaurant itself is huge, looks like a lounge and bar but mostly empty. The staff are all dressed differently too in street clothes so its hard to tell who works there. They are clearly struggling with understaffing. We had a caucasian waitress who came by to deliver food. She was very nice and friendly. About the food. We ordered: kimchi soondubu - asked for extra spicy, it was barely spicy. beef/seafood mixed soondubu - asked for spicy, it was straight up not spicy. The broth base was the same for each, and lacked depth of flavour. The tofu itself was pretty good, silky smooth, but tofu takes on the flavours of whatever it's cooked with and in this case, not much... The beef in these was just ok and there wasnt much of it. The seafood in the mixed one amounted to 1 clam and 1 shrimp shell-on. There was nothing else in it. 2/5 for both of these. Gamjatang - medium sized portion, good for 2, maybe 3 people. Meat was ok, broth was not bad. Solid average. 3/5. banchan served with the meals were the biggest disappointment. 2/5. This might be the most disappointing banchan ive had in a Korean restaurant in a long time. They served regular cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and bean sprouts. thats it. None of them were particularly good (not bad, just nothing great). And for a party of 4, they served a single portion of each banchan for the whole table. We had to ask for refills 3 more times. You have 4 diners, all with food that comes with Banchan normally. Wouldnt it be reasonable to bring out 4 portions of banchan right off the bat? Especially when you're understaffed? Overall: Main dishes 2.5/5. Banchan 2/5 for overall selection and quality. Service 2/5 - really comes down to severe understaffing and really poor management of how the kitchen is run. The staff there do their best but they need help. Venue 3/5. Overall, 2 to 2.5/5. This place might be the worst Korean place on the Robson strip of all the ones Ive been to. That's saying a lot, since Vancouver doesnt have amazing Korean food to begin with, and this is one of the worst of the bunch.
