I hate having contractors work on my house. I'm always concerned they're going to make some horrible mistake and leave things worse than they were. I also dislike the salesmen type who are clearly more concerned with running up the bill than doing the job right. Then I run into someone like Roger and Trackers Termite Control. After our previous termite inspection company ceased operations, we contacted several highly-rated companies and set up appointments for initial consultations. Trackers was the second and we cancelled the other appointments after meeting with Roger. Why? He showed a real respect for our property; found possible problem areas the first company had missed; and provided a thorough quote that explained exactly what would be done and what wouldn't, all at what we felt was an extremely fair price. The termite treatment and repair work were done in exactly the two days promised and we are extremely happy with the workmanship. Attached is a photo of one sample of his work. This was a large beam in our front porch that was damaged years ago by dry rot (and possibly termites) and that had been touched up with putty by painters. Roger sliced the damaged end off and replaced it so precisely that unless I stand and stare, I can't see where the seam is. Other work done around the house was similarly well executed. It's nice to know that there are contractors like this around. I wish there were more. read more

This is not just a termite control company. Roger Brown and his team are bona fide "fix-it" experts, and can repair just about anything inside or outside of your home! He came and did a thorough (and free!) inspection for termites and wood rot, found a couple of instances I never expected, and performed the most comprehensive, quick, and high quality repairs, treatment, and replacements of the infected wood that I could have ever wished for. Then he fixed my toilet, hung a mirror, replaced some tiles I'm serious: this guy can do anything!)... More impressive than the breadth of his talent, however, was his integrity. He turns up on time (even early). He offers a fair quote, and does not suggest work that doesn't need doing (he opted to replace a small section of wood, instead of recommending that I make major replacements. I spent an hour yesterday calling and emailing several places and Roger was extremely prompt, professional and extremely accommodating to my crazy schedule. Roger wanted to be thorough, and wanted to do his own inspection of the house rather than rely on the report provided by the termite company. He also indicated that he would not charge me for the inspection if we ended up using another company. Unfortunately our agent (at the last minute!!) told us we would have to get lender AND buyer approval of a new termite company and we are suppose to be closing escrow soon so i could not use Roger's services. However, I could tell that he really cares about his business, and also the quality of services and would not rip me off (even when I told him I couldn't use him anymore, he was extremely honest about the prices and estimates). Using Trackers Termite was one of the most pleasant experiences we have had in using contractors. We had an appointment and Roger showed up on time. When we communicated with phone or e-mail and he always responded. Their inspection of the property was very through and timely. All findings were discussed and when we had a question Roger took the time to make sure we understood. The treatment options were all discussed and we never felt pressured. In our situation we opted for fumigation. The fumigation company Trackers uses just as pleasant as dealing with Trackers. They arrived on time and started the tenting and when they entered the house they all used clean protective booties. When it came time to take the tent off they were there early and cleaned up just as they had found the property. If you need wood replacement Roger does the work on time and it is first class craftsman ship. You won't be disappointed and I will use Trackers again if there is a need. What a great experience!! Roger is a very honest & professional expert who did a fantastic job! It all began when I noticed that a part of my house seemed to have some termites and or dry rot. Well, this is the first time that Yelp has let me down! Last week, based upon all of the Yelp reviews, I called Trackers Termite Control and spoke with Ryan - who was wonderful! I specifically asked Ryan if he would consider a job in Fountain Valley - which I pointed out was in Orange County. I explained that I had read the Yelp reviews and that as a single-woman home owner - reviews were very important to me. He said he'd check on a few things and call me back in a few, which he did. We scheduled an appointment for Thursday, at 9:30 am, with Roger, who Ryan said would be the one doing my inspection. I was thrilled! Fast forward to appointment day, today, and my phone rang at 9:31 AM - and it was the infamous Roger I'd read so much about - the reason for making the appointment in the first place. Roger, who from his tone, was clearly annoyed, started the conversation by saying, "I understand from Ryan that you're getting other bids on this job?" Taken aback, I responded, "I haven't gotten any other bids yet" Roger said, "OK, because I'm not sure if Ryan told you, but this is a really long drive for me." I then explained to Roger that I had spoken to Ryan about the distance, and explained that I drive from Fountain Valley to West LA every day - and that due to "my" long drive, I had taken the day off for the appointment. Roger again pointed out the distance, and then said, "OK - because if you were going to get other bids.... I just want to let you know that I'm running behind, and will be there in about an hour and a half." After I hung up, I was both angry and disappointed - not about the delay, but about the whining attitude given to me about the "really long drive." I couldn't believe how the call had started and ended. I owned my own business for 5 years. I went where the business was - and even if you're not willing to do that, fine - but the appointment was scheduled, a week in advance - using my address! I was so irritated that I called Roger back and told him, "Listen, I don't want the pressure, nor do I want to feel bad that you have to make such a "really long drive" to get here - so I will find someone who's in the Orange County area to do my job." Roger's response? Was it, 'I'm sorry we made the appointment, knowing full well where you live, and let you down?' - or just a simple, 'I'm sorry?' No. Roger's response was, "Thanks, I really appreciate it." Well, guess what Roger? I don't! I live a whopping 34 miles away from your office. I drive 44 miles, each way, to get to work. To me, this was the epitome of not truly being willing to go the "extra mile" - no pun intended. The lack of both courtesy and professionalism demonstrated, today, is astounding! Perhaps Roger should change his advertisement to "Serving Covina - and the IMMEDIATE Area." Geographically undesirables, beware! read more

Roger was very thorough & did a great job of tenting our almost 1900 sq. ft. 1 story house for a full fumigation. He did what he promised. He understands the time consuming work it takes a homeowner to prepare outside the yard & inside the house with bagging all the food, moving the plants and taking care of any pets. He was always only a phone call away for any questions that I might have. I was surprised that they even reinstalled the light bulbs on all 6 sets of outside motion detector security lights. It's always a headache for me to find good service professionals. I like good work. I don't mind paying for quality, but I also don't like paying premium. Yes, I'm conflicting. Trackers Termite offered me exactly what I've been looking for. After spotting some possible termite droppings by my patio area, I decided to give these guys a call to schedule an appointment. I wanted to make sure things don't get worst. After leaving them a message, I received a call back from Roger the very next day. An appointment was scheduled and Roger showed up on time! Roger respected my house, putting on shoe covers before entering. After a thorough inspection of the house including attic and crawl space, Roger identified a few areas that need to be treated. The inspection was so detail and well explained to me, I was very happy by this point. The quote he gave me was also very reasonable. Before seeing Roger, I was planning on getting a couple more bids before making a decision, but I was so confident and comfortable with his work, I went ahead and hired him for the job right away. The actual treatments of the termites were nothing less than exceptional. It was on schedule and done right! He even fixed some of the minor details that were overlooked by the company that the previous owner of the house hired. I truly think I hit gold by finding Tracker Termite. Haven't tented yet, but these guys are doing some amazing work on all the needed repairs to the eaves, wood trim, doors, etc. Roger was thorough in his inspection, prompt on his estimate and he and his team work efficiently and neatly. Not looking forward to tenting, but I have confidence Roger will be available to help us out when needed. JUNE 6, 2017 THE JOB IS NOW DONE... Termite fumigation is not a pleasant experience. Bagging up all food, make-up, lotions, etc. is a chore. Luckily it is all worth it! Roger and Ryan made the whole process worthwhile. They made all needed repairs, working very neatly and replacing and repainting all the affected areas around the exterior of the house. Although we did our best to remove any plants near the house, naturally some of the plants around the perimeter were covered by the tent and turned brown, but Roger advised us to water thoroughly before the tent was put up and I'm sure the plants will revive. Their attention to detail is extraordinary. They make sure the job is complete, and even take the time to put everything right back where it belongs! Roger came to the house several times to ensure we were properly advised prior to the tenting as well as once the house was tented. He made sure the job was done up to our standards, and they exceeded our expectation! I highly recommend Trackers Termite Control. We will also be having them come back annually for any needed maintenance. Roger and Ryan are two of the best guys we have had working on our 60 year old house. I was first introduced to Trackers Termite when my 93 year old friend was selling her house and used Trackers Termite, Roger was very fair with his price, did a great job on all repairs. I have also had Roger do some repair work as well at my home, he installed a hot water tank, installed carpet, and did some repairs on my roof, he is fast, fair and reliable. He would always tell me to call if I have any problems and he would come back, but everything he does he does with prefection. I would highly recommend Roger to anyone looking for either termite inspection or termite repairs as well as any house repairs or any appliance replacement. Roger fixed my termite damage himself, replacing the wood and painting as well. He didn't originally offer me the lowest price for tenting, but he was willing to beat any other quote that I got. Terminix had the best tenting price, but wood work was considerably more than Roger's estimate. Roger's wood work estimate was about 30-40% lower than Terminix. South Coast Termite was triple that of Terminix. Roger said he can't do the wood fixes without doing the tenting as he doesn't really make money on that, hence the low price. He has another company do the tenting, but they did a great job. They always warn you that they can break some of the tiles on the roof and it'll be your responsibility to pay for the costs, but they didn't end up breaking any. They will shut off your gas but make sure that you are there when it's time to turn it back on. Typically places will charge you about 1 dollar per square foot of your home to do the tenting, but Terminix was trying to beat everyone's price, which came out to about 1/3rd less than normal, so Roger ended up beating that price for me. I noticed that South Coast termite cost about twice as much as everyone else, with less effective treatment, but they do the BEST inspection because they have to find every spot where the termites are. So if you want a great inspection to find everything (including 2nd floor eaves, full attic inspection) then I'd ask those guys to do an inspection first. Roger didn't actually check if the 2nd floor eaves were damaged since they were so high up, but he thought there might be some damage up there in one spot due to the look of it. Turns out there was no damage, as the South Coast termite guy had found, since he actually poked at it. However, Roger did a fine job and found more dry rot damage than the other guys. He doesn't have to inspect as thoroughly because the tenting will get all the termites everywhere. It took about a day to fix the wood and a couple days to get the tenting done. They provided those plastic bags that you can use to seal up your food, including stuff that will stay in the refrigerator. read more
