What I love about Joel and his team is they feel like friends and family of the house we live in. They give me peace of mind that pests are being treated and peace of mind my friends, family, and guests can walk around barefoot in my house without concern about stepping on an insect. I recently had an ant issue in my bathroom. I had ants crawling on the tub, walking in uniform to a small hole under the shower head. I splashed some water and carried on. The following day, I saw the same line of ants crawling, but now another line had formed; running along where the ceiling and wall meet. Given that nothing was left out to attract ants and were crawling into the wall, I decided to call someone. Like most, I went to Yelp and looked for local companies. Found Direct'em. Was I right when I called Joel and - without any rhyme or reason or prior "words" (except he had my money I guess) - rudely and shockingly and bewilderingly asked me "What do you want?" We've always had a MAJOR ant problem and my sister finally decided to give these guys a call! They were able to come the same day and the guy identified all possible ant origins and guaranteed the job. He said the ants should be gone within 2 days and if not, to give him a call. Since he was not able to access my room during the first visit, he returned 2 days later as promised. Not only did he treat my bathroom (major ant source due to dog food), he re-inspected the entire house and perimeter as well! Most of the ants were eliminated after the first visit but I'm relieved to know that I'll be able to sleep at night without any creepy crawlers harassing me. Called Direct'em Pest Solutions for termite work. Joel discussed all of the options and recommended fumigation since it is a very old house and the termites were in a number of spots. He took the time to answer all of my questions and explain termites. He went over the preparation we needed to do keep food and other household items safe during the fumigation. We spoke to direct em about exterminating termites, roaches, and rodents. After they came they took care of the termites and claimed we will see more rodents due to the fact that our area had a lot of them. It's been 2 weeks and our roach problem is worse than ever! This is after giving them $2000 up front to take care of our home. They claimed that roaches were not part of the deal which makes them extremely dishonest as well. There are plenty of great exterminator companies with more reviews than this terrible company. I called this service over to my home because of the good job that he did where I work. When he got to my home, he quite literally, stank. When he sprayed for spiders, he knocked down lights on the patio and breezeway which we had to put back up! He spend the entire time talking on the phone, which was annoying if we wanted to talk to him. He knocked down a smoke alarm inside the house and didn't even offer to put it back up for us.
