She stated that the vegetable of the day was squash which I love! So when I ordered my fish and chips I asked if it was possible to swap the coleslaw out with the vegetable of the day. She stated NO, unequivocally. A few minutes later she returned and said "It looks like we're out of coleslaw." I said, "So does this mean I can have the vegetable of the day as a substitute?" To my family members sitting at the table, she said, "Boy, she's really pushing it, isn't she?" She then looked at me and reiterated, "NO. It's not possible." When we looked over the final bill I asked if we had gotten a discount on our fish & chips meals due to the lack of coleslaw and she replied, "I don't have anything to do with that. What do you want me to do about it?" I don't know her name but she is an older woman, short hair, not super tall. I would definitely return but request a different waitress if need be.

The menus were left with us, and about a minute later, the waitress returned to take our order. Since it was our first time there, we needed a little more time to decide. I actually timed her return--it was 19 minutes. I ordered two eggs, cooked medium, with bacon, a side of toast, and home fries. Pancakes also came with the meal. The food arrive quickly yet the eggs were runny and the bacon had a non-bacon taste! I received only one slice of toast, and the home fries were so hard they were completely inedible. The pancakes were especially disappointing. One was about 3 inches in diameter and the other around 6 inches. They appeared to have been cooked on either a very dirty grill or frying pan as there were black soot/charcoal marks on them, but the worst part was the taste. The batter tasted as though it had been stored in the refrigerator alongside strong-smelling foods. The pancakes had an unpleasant combination of vegetable and meat flavors. To try and eat them I asked for butter and syrup (not offered). Still horrible I couldn't mask the flavor. My husband ordered eggs and hash. The portion of hash was extremely small--only about 2 inches in diameter and barely covering the plate. Between the long wait, poor service, and cold, disappointing food, the experience was made even worse by the disgusting flies that harassed us throughout the entire meal. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The food quality, service, and cleanliness were all unacceptable. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and unfortunately will not be returning.

Super thick, but not in a good way, and tasted more like onion than clam. Staff claimed that they are known for their chowder, but I don't see how that is possible. It was the absolute worst I've ever had! The pizza tasted like school cafeteria quality. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. The fish tacos were also intensely onion flavored and very inconsistent. One had a ton of fish and the other only had a tiny morsel. Not a fan. The captains platter was lackluster. Too much breading, and too many onion rings. The scallops were legitimately tasty, very sweet and delicate! If i had to order again, I'd get scallops and nothing else.
