We had SO much fun at the 1883 lounge! We've been twice now for karaoke on Sunday nights. The basement lounge has brick walls and string lights, creating a fun casual atmosphere. During both visits, our bartenders were friendly and attentive. Their late night menu downstairs is elevated bar food. We ordered a pizza and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, both of which were yummy! The karaoke creates a welcoming atmosphere, with singers of all skill sets. We had so much fun in the crowd dancing and singing along. This is definitely the most hopping Sunday night around!!!

Stopped here tonight and enjoyed every minute. Live music from RadioHoney. We had the clam chowder which I give a 6 out of 10. It was thick, had an ok amount of clams and the crisp bacon was a nice touch. The coconut shrimp was great. Crispy, lightly seasoned and great portion size. The steak and cheese egg rolls melt in your mouth, seasoned well and cheesy. The bacon wraped scallops are delicious and the hot honey have it a perfect flavor combination. Unfortunately we missed out on the prime rib but the NY sirloin was Outstanding. Medium rare, flavorful char outside and garlic butter on top. Our server went out her way to make sure we were satisfied all while on the move with a full bar and busy tables. I cant wait to return. 5 stars due to outstanding service in packed bar and tables. Great food.

Dinner at the1883 lounge. We have been several times since opening and the lounge downstairs is the best spot to enjoy a meal, have a few drinks and make new friends. Had dinner at the bar. Cool atmosphere, brick walled room with bar, high tops and booth seating. Very good. Prices are reasonable. Parking is tough, with a small lot and permit parking in the residential neighborhood that surrounds, so you may have to walk a little bit if the lot is full.Prime Rib special tonight was great!

Just went here for the first time and I'm already in love! The atmosphere is amazing, it has that secret society feeling. I got the steak tips, which were perfectly cooked and yummy! The peanut butter pie is really good too, along with their peanut butter mudslide

Super cool speakeasy in the basement. Same menu as upstairs but so cool

The food was excellent, fair prices, decent service, only negative was the crowd noise - poor acoustics.

What a great rep she is for this restaurant. Richard had clam chowder and I tried it. Superb! I had cooked lobster sushi. Tasty and presented nicely. For meals I had the salmon and couscous w/vegs: WOW! So delish, cooked just right. Very large servings for the prices, took half home. Richard had the scrod w/green beans and fingerling potatoes, all well seasoned. Best views of Plymouth Harbor are here, tastefully decorated interior. No more mirrors! Other than the prices for beef, prices are what one pays normally in most restaurants. People were dressed from casual to more dressy. They had a private room full of women having a great time plus a large banquet/overflow room. Outdoor deck dining available, too. My only complaint was with the air head next table over who could not think to turn the volume down/off on her phone. She/I jumped every time it rang. Old enough to know better, too.

Oh here we go again, another beautiful waterfront restaurant with mediocre food. Great location,…read morelovely decor and very competent serving staff, but mediocre food. Daughters steak tips were a C-. Friend's blackened chix pasta was a B+. My filet was grey and chewy it gets an F. I sent it back. The table next to us returned their filet, as well. Bad filet night, I guess. Steakhouse this is not. Server was awesome, funny and attentive. The manager did visit our table. He gets a C-. NOTE TO GM'S WHO ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT TRAINED IN GUEST RECOVERY.... It is a BIG deal if we are spending our hard earned $ in your establishment and our meal is horrible. You should apologize. At least act as if you are concerned with the issue. I don't want a free dessert. Here is a sample talking point. " I'm very sorry your dinner experience was not wonderful. That's what we strive for. I will find out why your filet was sub par and remedy the issue. Could I get you another filet free of charge?" I understand your friends are done eating and it's unacceptable for you to be sitting here with no entree. I want to make this right for you. What can I do?" This type of manager response would prevent a 2 star review and my poor recommendation. I would give the restaurant another shot. However, this was not the managers response and we will not be returning. FYI, the "free dessert" shouldn't show up on the bill. It did. Attention to detail??? The water view and the nice napkins may keep the tourists coming, but not this local gal.

My fries that came with my burger were missing entirely. Additional side order was also missing. 2 out of 5 items. Also I was made to wait an extra 6 minutes after they first came to the car because I was picking up the order when a different family member ordered, even though I could give every detail about the order, meaning the food was already cooling by the time I left, never mind actually got it home. I was then given what I can only call a preschool talking-to about it, like I had taken some other kid's toy during play time. Needlessly hostile. The food simply is not good enough to put up with that, and the prices don't help, either.

After Covid (late 2022), no Prime Rib, no baked potato, no Caesar Salad. There was no reason to go back. Now our favorite foods are back, but there have been some changes. The same exact meal with tax and tip has gone from $75 to $122. I was expecting a large price hike, but I was also expecting the meal I remembered from 2020. Service was good. The wine and baked potato were as I remembered them, but the Prime Rib was a big disappointment. The Caesar Salad had fresh lettuce, too little cheese, and so little dressing you almost needed a microscope to find it. We got there at 6:30 and the restaurant was nowhere near full. I like my Prime Rib rare, but, in the past, I always had to settle for medium rare or sometimes a little more than that. However, this night, all they had left was medium well. We ordered it anyway. The old taste was there, except there was way too much pepper. I don't think I would spend that kind of money again unless I could get a medium rare piece without an overdose of pepper. At the end of the meal, I was presented an electronic pad where the server stands over you while you have to put in a tip to make payment. I hate these things. The Prime Rib at Mezza Luna is way better and only $4 more.
