This restaurant has everything. The drinks are excellent, great bartender. The food is superb. The menu is wide and varied. The view is lovely, especially at sunset. The service was wonderful. We were seated inside but decided it would be nice outside so they moved us with a smile. Everyone loved what they ordered. The serving sizes were large. This is our new favorite place!

Lisa made the experience more than worthwhile for the drive after calling on the phone. She backed up a fantastic personality with a great attitude and an incredible bacon infuse Bloody Mary, This place open a half an hour before everybody else in the area, on Sunday morning and Father's Day.  Is Quite a kickstart to our day. Thanks, Lisa, we really appreciate your time. Unfortunately, we had to leave because of the bad karma of one of the servers, Natalie, She just Shot around a lot of negative energy. She should really learn to smile more and be happier, Around the Guests. We'll be back when Miss Lisa is on the Bar TY

Yum! Fabulous place. Staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful & efficient. I had a yummy Porter on draft. Hard to decide on items bc everything looked so delicious. I decided to try the pig wings bc you don't come across that very often & everyone teased about them. They were moist inside & flash fried in a corn meal coating. Served with an apple cider vinegar dipping sauce. They were very good. I also ordered the Bog BLT which is applewood smoked bacon, fried green tomato, grilled romaine, eggplant aioli, on grilled sour dough bread.

Paid acknowledgement though I also have the email. Not a huge sum either.

The atmosphere seemed quaint and the food O had was not bad. I finished my drink and my meal at the bar and asked for the check. I got the check and quickly saw they had a QR code to pay with. I paid via QR said thank you and walked to my car. The bartender came out accusing me that I didn't pay the bill. I told them I paid by QR and showed them the screen on my phone to which the bartender said she didn't know they had that. I won't return when the help is that clueless and embarrassed a customer.

Good time, Great time at The Bog. Couldn't think of a better way to sink into the ease of the cape then stopping at Wade Bogg's restaurant. Bring your sharpie!

Good food, ambience and service. It was a bit pricey but would go back occasionally.

Ask the Community - The Bog Tavern

I go by the Bog Pub on Rt 28 as shown in the photos but they are out of business? Did they move to somewhere else?

Yes they moved to the Brookside Golf Course behind Falmouth Toyota

There was a review from 2021 saying that they charged extra for using a credit card. Is this still the case because I will not go to any restaurant that does this?

    this does not happen

The food is consistently excellent with delicious, homemade-style creations, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is spot-on (families are welcome) -- great music and the hometown teams always on the TV. Not divey, but you walk in and you're basically at the bar. There's bar seating, a few tables on the side, a few in the back. People were eating and drinking wherever. Service: Prompt, friendly. The bartender was the owner, chatting with a local about working where he lives and drinking while he works. But very friendly and open to visitors here. And no overwhelming Boston accent. If you're not local, you'll do fine. Food: OK, I was here on an impulse search for dessert. They happened to have fresh homemade donut holes to go, so I got some cinnamon dusted. And by dusted, I mean WHOA NELLY that's a lot! And the donut holes were also huge. And they came with warm caramel dipping sauce. I couldn't put it down. While I was waiting (again, didn't take long, they were just shaking the topping on in the back), I looked over and saw bar pies that honestly? To this North Jerseyan? Looked like good tasty pizza. In Massachusetts. You have been warned. If you stay on Route 25 to bypass Bourne on your way to or from the bridges, you're not just adding mileage to your car to save a little time. You're missing out on the best place in a country mile.

It did take time also to be asked for our drink/food order but once our server came around she was very nice and apologetic for the wait. We were able to get an app quicker than the food since we ordered fried pickles as that was the quickest item to get out to us. The fried pickles were thickly sliced with the perfect amount of breaded batter and the dipping sauce was perfect. I ordered the steak quesadillas and they were very good, I did ask for jalapeños and that made it much better.

We made reservations and arrived to a reasonably full restaurant--not overwhelming. From the…read moreparking lot, you could already smell the steak tips cooking, which was promising. We were seated right away, though the high-top tables near the door were freezing; guests with winter jackets and hats looked like they were braving the arctic. Our waitress didn't come by for about 15 minutes, which we didn't mind initially. When she arrived, she seemed a bit awkward. We ordered drinks and asked about the $9 chowder, specifically if it came in a bowl or cup. She confidently said it was a "bigggg giant bowl" and suggested we split it. When the chowder finally arrived, we were disappointed. I may have counted three small potatoes in my bowl, and the crackers seemed to take up most of the space. If you're craving chowder in Plymouth, there are many better and more reasonably priced options. We are new homeowners and cook lovely meals daily, so the few times we go out these days, we really look forward to enjoying the atmosphere and getting exactly what we are paying for. We're not overly fancy--pubs and taverns are our jam. Sitting at the bar, we finally enjoyed our meals. The bar staff were great, and the actual meal itself was VERY good. However, it seemed like if you're not a "regular," the attention and welcoming feel can be inconsistent unless you're seated at the bar. In short: good food, okay bar service, but inconsistent front-of-house experience.

Now they are staying open later in the season and we are SOOOOO happy! This place ROCKS! Cute little place, love the outside deck, but let's get real, it's all about the food! We've been twice now. I got the small (yeah, right) lobster roll and clam chowder combo both times I came. FIrst, I don't know who can eat the Monsta one, not I. The "small" is bigger than anyone else's I've seen. If you look closely at the last pic I posted of the lobster roll, there is an ENTIRE lobster in there. There is a full, uncut lobster tail, and two full, uncut claws, and a ton of other meat around it. Full lobster kids. The grill on the bun is perfect. While the bun is hot, the lobster itself is served cold and undressed, but with warm drawn butter on the side. MMmmmmmmmm. It's my fav lobster roll hands down. Both times I've had a few of the raw littlenecks. So good. Also last time, the BF went with me and he had the Cuban sandwich, as he is not a fan of clams or lobster (I know, and I stay with him anyway). This Cubano was INSANE good! I had a couple bites. We both love a Cubano, and this is probably the best one either of us have ever had. Great bread, and it's HUGE! All in all, great place, great food, great vibe, friendly peeps. Can't wait til next September! Woohoo!

Well my husband did go ahead and eat it- but nothing to write home about. The fried food-fries & quahogs - never had a bad one at the Falmouth location. The Mai Tai was completely watered down, but talking amount of alcohol-I prefer a drink that isn't too heavy in booze, but the juice/mixer was like so filtered it wasn't even good. We were really looking forward to coming to his Onset location for lunch, been eating at Quahog Republic since Mashnee Island- I go back to the days of The Dr. Flynn Mai Tai- this meal and the drinks may fly for tourists, but this local is NOT COMING BACK. Addendum: because my husband sent his quahog back, because our quahogs were SUPER GREASY & I sent my chowder back to be warmed up (because it arrived tepid) - the waitress pro-actively took the Quahogs off the bill & my chowder. We didn't actually, "complain " about anything, just those 2 things-the rest we didn't say a thing, it wouldn't change a thing, if we had. We didn't go to the Quahog Republic for free food in a nice waterfront setting- we went there for the good food we have become accustomed to from The Quahog Republic & sadly the food & cocktails seem to have gone down hill. Looks like we will be sticking to the location in Falmouth- they haven't let is down, yet.
