DO NOT GET YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE!! I took my iPhone 14 in…read morefor a $25 diagnostic because it wouldn't power on. During this "diagnostic," zach broke my front glass. He claimed "it happens often" and said he'd replace it for free, but I never authorized him to even open the phone to that extent. I had insurance that would have covered a proper repair; I was only there for the diagnostic. By the time I arrived, he had already installed a new battery and a cheap screen without my consent. The craftsmanship is awful: the glass protrudes so far out it doesn't even fit in my case anymore. It's puffing right where the battery is located, why is a brand new battery already swelling? On top of the bad install, they used the cheapest aftermarket screen on the market (it costs $36 ), yet they charge near $200. That is an 82% profit margin for a screen that is barely responsive and looks grey. Their website claims they warranty FAULTY CRAFTSMANSHIP, but zach did everything possible to dodge that warranty. I paid $184 for them to break my phone further and hand me back a device with significantly less value. If you have a high odds of shattering phones during a simple diagnostic, customers should be told that upfront. Don't trust them with your device unless you want it returned in worse condition than when you brought it in. I have included similar experiences below.

Oh jeez, had to dust off my Yelp and modify a review I left ages ago. Just had the worst…read moreexperience dealing with a simple screen replacement. Went later in the day, cracked iPhone screen, straight-forward replacement, got it finished near closing time, paid and left. Only after a bit of normal use, it must have had some compatibility problem (3rd rate aftermarket screen probably) and would not pinch-to-zoom. Took it back the next day, the attendant acknowledged it, replaced it again and it still was doing it. The attendant herself (like the employee the night before) was as helpful/polite as she could be, but it all turned to garbage when she got the owner on speakerphone for a "now what do I do?" call. He tried to pawn it off on us that the phone's "data was corrupt" and we needed to basically reinstall/update system??? The worst case of "did you try restarting it?" I've ever heard. It then became like an episode of Columbo with my indicating that the phone was fine, if the data was a problem, it wouldn't have changed with the screen, and he was all "these work all the time blah blah blah". It was immensely stressful and dripped with lack of concern for customer satisfaction. I told him he could just forget about me taking the phone home and doing some sort of factory install on it to just be back where we started from, and I needed the phone fixed now. Bear in mind, I put the attendant herself at ease that she was not the problem, that this was her off-site manager's rotten idea of customer service policy. Thinking WE were the one's going to be stuck, he said snarkily "what do you want me to do then?" And we replied, "a refund?" He snapped "then you're going to get a phone without a screen" (clearly he didn't grasp how this repair had been basically mere hours prior, on the previous night). We told them "just put the original cracked screen back on, it's probably still in the trash can!" [It was at this moment... he knew.... he f/ed up] The (still nice as she could be) attendant went back and got the heaping case of trashed screens with a look on her face like "good luck." Without missing a beat, we just grabbed the one right on top, there it was, the exact one... "there it is! Just put it back on and give us our money back!" (Gotta say, poor attendant girl giggled... agreeably). The owner had nothing else arrogant to offer at this point, and the attendant put the old screen back on. Oh! And then we held the phone in front of her and demonstrated perfectly normal pinch-to-zoom function, (which OF COURSE it was their shoddy replacement parts with compatibility issues). That got a smile outta her. He begrudgingly authorized the refund, like pulling teeth. We left losing a whole day right back where we started from because of this owner. Anyway, beyond offensively rotten customer service POLICY, so bad it's punishment for the poor employees just needing the paycheck. The owner is a classic "take the money and run" shyster. The only thing fun about the whole stressful experience is we've turned his "your data is corrupt" B.S. line into a household meme to have fun irritating each other. "Hey, guess what... your data's corrupt!" "OMG DAD, WILL YOU STOP!!" hehehe... anyway, our luck ran out here. Recommend you just drive right on by unless you like being taken for a tool.

Joshua nor Lloyd ( the owner) do not care about doing right by their consumers. We are owed $325 and until I see it, I will make sure every TCU student and family member knows to steer clear of this sketchy establishment. We love Fort Worth and have had nothing but good experiences - until now. It's not about the money, it's about the honesty. Taking advantage of a 19 year old girl who you know needs her phone to work, is absolutely despicable . In addition, assuming my college student has nothing productive to do, and I quote "she can come back to the store she has nothing going on," is gross. She is a scholar student who also has two jobs. No wonder your business is run this way. Next up - Tcu parents page via Facebook. We may have been screwed by I won't let another Tcu family. Go straight to Apple Store next time.
