Been meaning to write a review. Didn't get an eye exam or glasses here, but next time I need one I'll definitely be coming here. My dad was in town visiting when his $700 eyeglass snapped in 2. We tried 3 different places that didn't have the right tool. A gentleman named Stacy helped us. He fit us in 20 min before closing, repaired the glasses very quickly, and then didn't even charge us anything. That kind of courtesy and professionalism earned a future loyal customer! They also seemed to have a very large selection of eye and sunglasses. read more

Excellent Optometrists. Veronica Staples, OD is amazing. Unprofessional Staff-No Courtesy! Purchased glasses...one lens kept falling out...they tightened the screw several times, but did not replace the screw. Went on vacation and lens fell out & was lost. Paid $129 for one single vision replacement lens. Two weeks later picked up glasses with incorrect prescription in that lense. Took it back..no apology, no rush service, no consideration at all. Called two and a half weeks later to check if glasses were in yet, told to come in after 3pm that day. Went in the next morning to pick up glasses and after sitting there for 20 minutes was told they weren't ready yet. No "I'm sorry" or "let us take care of that for you right away". I'm just so tired of poor service...I'm not looking for anymore than that, but come on...be professional and coureous! Will not return to them for frames again. read more

I have been coming to Foothill Optometric Group since I moved to the Bay Area (many moons ago); the staff is phenomenal and the doctors are friendly and still prompt. I love the service and knowledge the staff provides and everyone seems to genuinely care. I haven't come across a staff member that was not smiling and being very accommodating. When I walk in I always feel like I am walking into a personal eye care place just for ME. This most recent time, Kelli helped me select fun contact lens and my eye exam was with Dr.Yang whom I have seen a number of times (I think I have seen every doctor there and all are fantastic). Dr. Yang is very thorough, engaging, and efficient. He always answers my questions and doesn't make me feel as though he is rushed to see another patient. I moved to Fremont and still drive here in Pleasanton for my appointments! read more

I always see Dr. Yang when I come to this office. He is great! Dr. Yang is friendly, patient and a skilled optometrist. The office staff and technicians are also very friendly and helpful. They have a beautiful and clean office. Their selection of eyewear is vast! If they don't have it, they will order it for you to look at before you buy. You won't be disappointed if you come here! read more

Great practice overall. Nice people and great optical care. They have state of the art equipment and the office staff is terrific as well. They do a lot of specialty work with contact lens that I appreciate as a customer who wears contacts. I would recommend them to any of my friends and have. read more

We have been going to Foothill Optometric for over 30 years for good reason. They are the best! We'll keep going back!

I've been going to Foothill Optometric for the past 4 years. Each and every time, the service has been really good. I've only been seen by one doctor all these years. He is very friendly and does a great job communicating and explaining to you everything that he's doing. The staff is also very helpful and friendly, especially when it comes to picking out frames. The office itself is kept clean and comfortable. I would recommend this office to anyone looking. read more

I see Dr. Liu here and he's great. He is always upbeat and takes the time to answer all your questions. I've been coming here for 3 years now and just recently I had my husband change to foothill optometric. He actually saw Dr. Yang and liked him. Everyone is nice and friendly here. You can always get appointments within the week because they have a lot of doctors here. read more

No one looks forward to an eye appointment, but the people at Foothill Optometric Group were great. Scheduling an appointment was quick and easy, the technicians and Doctor were friendly, efficient and informative and they have a great selection of frames (one of the few who carry Oakley). I recommend them highly. read more

Top Tier Doctors and staff. Loyal customer for over 20 years!

Amazing and friendly staff! Dr. Sjodahl is very knowledgable and personable. I have really bad vision but I trust them to get it right. The staff who helped me pick out my glasses was amazing! I told them what I was looking for and the first pair they brought out was the one I ended up getting. They are very knowledgable and friendly. Another huge plus for me is that they are very clean! I would highly reccommend them to anyone! read more

Friendly, knowledgeable doctors and staff with a great selection of frames to choose from!

This is a very busy busy office - sort of like the L.. C... at the Mall. The doctors are good, though I felt rushed. The opticians could be better - thus just 3 stars. After returning to complain about my glasses, the optician wanted to try to *adjust* the frame. Felt the optician only wanted me persuade me that what I was seeing was *normal*. After 5 months, got a 2nd opinion from another optometry office and they suggested that I return to get the lens redone - again. I *really* would like to talk to the optometrist again, but felt that the front office, opticians were trying to discourage that. read more

Won't be patronizing them with my business again. Way too many people in the front area talking to each other and pretending not to notice the customer. Yes we are customers and can certainly take our business elsewhere, which is what I wil be doing. I had my eye test, the glass finally arrived a week after they said they would, I could only see out of them if I shut one eye!! I took them back, a technician looked at them and said there was nothing wrong with them....... What!! He told me if I wanted to get them corrected I would have to make another appointment and take yet more time off work. Yes I will certainly be making another appointment, but not with you people! read more

I went to Foothill Optometric Group for a couple of years and loved it. The staff were friendly and doctors were always helpful. Unfortunately, just recently they seem to have changed their insurances and we can no longer go there. It's really disappointing that an office would change the insurance they take because they had "too many problems with their lab". Sounds fishy to me, since I know we have excellent coverage and they were always surprised that we didn't have a co-pay!? Can't help but wonder if this wasn't a strictly financial decision. Too bad. read more

I've been going to FOG for years and stop by there recently to try to make the switch from Rx eye glasses to contact lenses - mind you that I've been trying to make this switch for about 2 years. They have been understanding, providing me samples of different brands, different strengths (in one eye as I have mono-vision), from the typical clear to tinted (I can't see the lens otherwise) - most places would probably have charged each time I came in to "start over", but they didn't and they didn't even mention it. I really appreciate the staff from the reception staff to the doctors (and I've been seen by 3 of them). All nice and professional. The eye glass selection is big and my only nit is that they are a bit pricey. Nonetheless, I have purchased them because they give excellent top notch service and have a nice warranty that they stand by, which I've had to use once. No problem! read more

Long time patient of Dr. Liu, he has taken good care of me! And for today's visit, a special shout-out to Shelby, the optometric technician. She was a star today, employee of the month! Great customer service. read more

Great doctors but the techs need to go. We've had significant problems with every visit. Ideally we'd get our eyes checked here and take the prescription elsewhere. read more

This review is long overdue! We have terrible vision insurance--Davis Vision. It is so bad that Foothill no longer takes it and rightly so!! But even after Foothill stopped dealing with the horrible Davis Vision they fixed what Davis screwed up for us. Davis gave me the exact opposite lens I requested and Foothill submitted to them. Stacey at Foothill fixed my lens free of charge and my glasses are great now. We really got great service from Foothill. In one year we purchased two pairs of glasses and two pair of prescription sunglasses. They stand behind all of their work--even when the screw up is not their own--and we are very sorry we are unable to use them right now. read more

I used to work as a Tech for the Drs when I was in college, so yes, I am a bit biased, but I love all the DRs! They can get very busy and overwhelmed at times, that usually just affects the service staff (unfortunate, but that's what happens in a busy successful business). All in all, I trust them with my eyes and my family's eyes. I love that they don't just check my vision like some of those cheapy vision centers, but they check all the signs of my vision that's connected to my health. . .all of them thorough and very competent. LOVE FOG! read more

Josse- best at frame adjustment. Great sunglass selection!

My last visit I was called by my first name and my age was broadcasted....what next SSN? Perhaps it is the immature staff, or the crowed lobby conditions, but it certainly has gotten away from the personal service it once was. I'm going elsewhere now. read more

Easy appointment setting, great service, tons of cool frames and real attention to detail. I've been a patient for over 15 years and absolutely love this place and the staff. read more

Dr. Sjodahl is wonderful and the gentleman who helped me pick out my frames was so patient and helpful. He picked the perfect pair of glasses for me, considering how picky I was. The service was so great and everyone is very accommodating. I brought my 2 year old daughter with me and they were very nice to her, giving her bouncy balls and etc. My husband and I both go here and will be recommending this place to my mother-in-law too! read more

Easy to make an appt and very friendly doctor and staff. I really liked that they have an optometric scanner instead of having to dilate my eyes. Glad we switched to Foothill. read more

I love this place! I have been coming here for 3 years. I see Dr. Andrew Yang once a year and he has a great memory because he remembers what we chatted about last year! I really like that they show how they care by remembering little things like that! Everyone else hat works there always has a smile and is very friendly. They have a great selection of glasses and a computer system to take your picture in the glasses so you can compare glasses without trying them repeatedly. Also, I've never had to wait for my appointment! They never run late, even on their busy days on the weekend! read more

This was such an awesome experience. Please forgive me, but I don't remember our optometrist's name. He was so great, informative, and patient with us, even really funny! They even let my husband come in the room, and they were fine with it all. Everyone that helped us was so nice and professional. I was dilated for the first time ever, and they helped me pick out my new frames. I would and already have recommended them to several people. Thank you all for our first great experience getting our eyes checked. We would never go anywhere else! read more

These folks are eager to serve. They are fun and knowledgeable. Had a very good experience yesterday. Check them out.

Dr. Liu is great!!! Even though I had to wait, it was worth it! He is knowledgeable and personable

I am always impressed with the efficiency of the staff. Dr. Liu is outstanding. He is both very personable and an excellent doctor.

Poor customer service especially Ms Nunes the receiving clerk. Its sad that she's the head over there. When we got there, her immediate response was " Do you have an appt? " WITHOUT a welcoming attitude. Maybe she shd take classes for customer service recovery. How come she can't say How can I help you? Even just picking up eyeglasses , it took forever. And this was at 2pm. So we won't recommend this place to our friends and family and we won't be coming back. read more

I've been coming to this practice for years - maybe even decades! I've now started bringing my kids here. My youngest had his first visit last week, and it was awesome. He's a very curious 1st grader, and you guys took the time to answer ALL his questions! He felt like he was on a science field trip. Dr. Sjodahl, you may be giving Dr. Longacre a run for "best eye doctor ever"!!! Thanks Dr. Sjodahl and staff for being so great. My son can't wait to come back and get his new glasses. read more

My family and I have been patients for about 2 years. My 7 year old and myself have had nothing but positive experiences. I took my 4 year old to his first appointment, I was a little nervous because I didn't know how well he would do. The whole staff was very friendly and attentive with him. Dr. Liu is very sweet and had patience with my son. He seemed very concerned and actually cared for my son's well being. read more

The manager contacted me and helped a lot to resolve this issue.....I made a new order.... He also give me some discount on my new order..... read more

My family is so happy that we have switch to Foothill Optometric Group. My wife and I were examined by Dr. Yang. My children were examined by Dr. Sjodahl. Both are experienced professional. They are very thorough and patient. They explained very well for my findings and make sure we have no doubts. We are so happy to find them and looking forward to have them for our optometrist for years to come. read more

This office is the best. Everyone is so friendly, capable and helpful. Every time I've been here, I've been impressed with the staff. This time, I lost my prescription glasses right before going out of town. They were able to make me a new pair in 20 minutes while I waited. Then they tightened the screws on my sunglasses, and even gave me cleanser and a tiny screwdriver that I could keep for myself. Thanks to each of you for your awesome service! read more

Excellent overall service. Scheduling the appointment was very easy. They provided me with many options to fit my agenda. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And so was the doctor. He was very clear and took the time to explain the different tests and what was their purpose. He also provided me a very honest recommendation regarding the use of lenses and what's best for me. For sure I will go back there again for my next regular check, and would certainly recommend them to anyone. read more

Fabulous office, all staff are friendly, knowledgeable and so kind. DR Liu is easy going, takes his time, explains everything and makes the process painless. He is wonderful!! I cannot recommend this office and Dr Liu highly enough. So happy I found them!! Totally worth the drive from Brentwood. read more

This place is great and very accommodating. They are perfect for adults and kids alike.

Arrived at 1:05 for a 1:15 appointment, suspecting that as a new patient I would have some paperwork to fill out. I did and completed it by 1:15. After about 15 minutes I was taken to do several tests (before seeing the doctor). I was then placed in the exam room with a video playing. While parts of the video were interesting it was obnoxious as I had a book to read and video was playing really loud. Doctor came in about 15 minutes later (probably about 45 minutes after my appt. time). Doctor was awesome though. Listened to my concerns, took the time to address them, and to explain some issues to be aware of with my eyes. Service to get my glasses was great. Assistant was very patient in explaining my options and my insurance payment to me. Besides the timing and the video I would definitely return again. Probably the most complete visit I've had to an eye doctor. read more
