Nice little neighborhood office located to the right of buffalo wild wings. Covid protocols in place. They only allow one customer/family in at a time which was nice. You don't feel crowded. All staff were friendly and Dr. Yee was great with the exam and explaining. Come check them out. I would recommend them. I went to this optometrist location for two years. I DID too consider it the best experience until life extenuating circumstances arise. Their true business ethics quickly change. I work as a provider in an emergency dept and got called in. Had to reschedule my appt but tried to get my two kids in for theirs. They aren't interested in rescheduling unless we pay a rescheduling fee even though we are capable of bringing the kids in. We were told we need to pay $75 if we want to reschedule. Provider to provider- zero respect. Hopefully they don't feel a lack of respect or that their needs is not urgent when visiting an ER as a patient. I'll take my family to an optometrist that has compassion over money hungry providers. Thank you, but no thank you. You can have my $75 because you're money hungry and I'll see my previous eye doctor, even if it's a drive away. These other reviews are true! My review doesn't ring differently. Oooh- The receptionist must like her job! She definitely needs to learn what field she should work in. She needs self awareness. Take your family somewhere else. Always a great experience at Dublin Ranch optometry! During covid, safety measurements are in place, which made me feel more at ease with my appointment. Everyone in the office was double masked. I believe glasses are sanitized after you try them on, as well as the optometric tools you touch. Glass barriers put up where necessary. Dr. Yee is an extremely friendly and thorough person. She explained to me my options (with insurance benefits taken into account) in great details, and patiently addressed all my concerns/questions. She even asked me about my concern from the previous year. Other staff members were also nice and efficient, making the process seamless and pleasant. Appointments can be placed easily over the phone. They send you a reminder via email a few days before. Decent selection of glasses/sunglasses at different price ranges. Dr. Ben is the BEST optometrist I have been to in my adult life. He is personable and his professionalism is above all. He clearly cares about his patients and goes above and beyond to ensure the patient needs have been met. He's thorough and took the time to answer all my questions (I always have a ton :) ) The staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I tried on a few frames, they were so patient and helped me pick out the perfect frame. They carry some of the best designer brands and chic options. When I picked up my glasses, the staff made sure the frame fit my face perfectly, they also made some adjustments on the spot. The office is nice and welcoming with state of the art equipment, that I haven't seen at previous practices. I'm so thankful for Dr. Ben and staff. Dr. Sara Yee was a true professional - patient, thorough, and detailed. I appreciate that she was very kind and personable. It is clear she is interested in you as a patient & just as a person. She has great taste too -- she makes the buying decision for the practice and she's got some really chic glasses in her store for you to choose from. Some of the brands they offer are LaFont, Dita, Christian Dior, & Gucci. I ended up going with a latest design from Christian Dior. Shianne is bubbly and super helpful and had my insurance verified with payment info upfront and ready. I enjoyed my experience with Dublin Ranch Optometry and highly recommend. Great selection of frames and you definitely get your money's worth with the contact lens exam. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. My Dr ensured that I had a variety of different contacts to take home & try so I could pick a brand that worked best for me. I appreciate the full service I received from beginning to end. I also appreciate that they don't just try to up-sell you but allow you to choose different lens options that make the most sense with your needs while still offering the pros & cons in a relaxed and comfortable manner. I never once felt pressured when picking out my frames/lens options, which is not what I can say with other optometrists I've been to before. I was referred to Dr. Sara Yee by a family member and had a really pleasant experience, she is truly THE BEST. I have had "perfect" vision my whole life and did not make regular visits to an optometrist (not recommended), but really felt my vision was getting less than "perfect" so it was time to get a thorough check. And I am so glad I came to Dr. Yee because it really changed my perspective. The overall feel of their office is calm and personal. Dr. Yee and her team are friendly, kind, patient, organized and professional. The process here is seamless, I was assisted by two people the few times I visited here and all were knowledgeable and helpful. I feel confident that if I had any follow up or changes/issues, that anyone here could help me and get me exactly what I needed. Dr. Yee is very thorough and she patiently answered all of my questions (truly, there were so many!). She is extremely knowledgeable and warm, I felt really comfortable and in good hands. I felt I had so much I needed to understand as someone who is new to having a prescription, she walked me through everything. Nothing I asked her was a surprise to her, she was able to explain everything I needed to know in a way that I could understand. I definitely came out of her office feeling more informed and equipped with the right information. Even when I returned overseas, she gave me great advice and useful tips when I had follow up questions. When I showed her the results of my last exam from another doctor overseas and his recommendation to get lasik and be set for the rest of my life, she not only explained why I was not a good candidate for lasik but showed me what the prescription he gave me would look like so I could assess for myself. I agreed, it was not a good fit for me at all. I really appreciated that because, she truly cared that I was provided with what was best for me. I give 1 star because of bad customer experience. I have bought many pair of glasses from this store over the past few years. I came here because of their wide range selection of frames and is also close to me. I had my last pair of glasses a month ago. Before insurance, that costs around $800. I thought I did not need to worry about the quality. But, The legs of the frames are too soft so that they change the form easily. I came to the store and talked to the doctor about this. I asked to get some store credit toward another pair of glasses. The answer I got is NO, NO. They did not treat us as customer no matter how much money they earned from us. Please think twice before going to the store. I hopeful this is useful to you. read more

In all fairness, I'll throw out the disclaimer that I didn't go into Dublin Ranch Optometry for eyeglasses, but only for an adjustment on a pair of glasses that I already own. The store itself is gorgeous in its minimalist layout, and the selection of glasses is great. I personally liked their sunglasses better than their eyeglasses... but both were great :) The receptionist was extremely friendly and upbeat, which is a nice change from the norm. She was apologetic that the optometrist was with a customer and that it'd be a few minutes until I was able to be helped... and offered me water or coffee while I waited. When the optometrist came out to help me, I explained that I needed an adjustment and that my glasses may need special attention to any heat applied, etc. While she took that into consideration, and she was really friendly, she didn't quite get the adjustment right and stated that my glasses were too big for my head (which simply isn't true). So, while she was friendly and polite, it didn't seem like she was *that* interested in helping me with an adjustment on glasses that I didn't purchase from her store. Some people may give DRO a lower rating on Yelp for this fact, but I'm hoping that I was just reading her wrong... and the fact that the selection of eyeglasses/sunglasses was great, the receptionist was super friendly, and that the optometrist was friendly makes up for it. read more

I first went here 3 years ago. The office staff were so nice and I really like the optometrist who examined me, Dr Yee. Specifically I mentioned that my eyes tend to get dry with dailies - a few of the other docs I'd seen didn't know what to think about it. But she understood that for some folks it's just different. If I could give Dr. Yee and Shianne 10 stars, I would more than happily do so. I had a terrible experience at Valley Eyecare Center in Livermore and wanted to switch Optometrists. I went on yelp and found Dublin Ranch Optometry and decided to give them a call. Immediately, I was greeted wonderfully by Shianne, who was more than willing to help me out with whatever needs I had. She was very thorough and helped me figure out what my insurance covered. When I went in to their office, I was greeted by both Dr. Yee and Shianne, who were both very friendly. Since I got the eye exam from another optometrist the day before, I had no need for an eye exam, but Dr. Yee gave me a quick exam for free to make sure that the prescription I was given was correct. I thought that she went way above and beyond what they needed to do, and I am very grateful for that. They have a very good selection of frames and sunglasses, and their prices are very affordable, especially if you have insurance, of course. They both really spent the time to make sure I picked the frames that fit my face, and trust me, we spent almost an hour doing that and not once did I feel rushed, especially since it was closing time for them. So far so good. I saw Dr. Yee last Saturday (I love that they are available on Saturdays) for a routine eye exam. I was in search of one closer to home since most of my health care is in Dublin. From the moment I walked in (late at that), I felt I picked the right optometrist. Dr. Yee is very thorough - I had A LOT of questions. She never made me feel like a burden with the never ending questions I had. She explained everything and gave me her opinions on different contact lens brands to try. I'm going back in a week for my follow up and I'm sure my review will stay at 5 stars. I will say that the location is a bit hard to find. The GPS on my phone led me to the Hacienda shopping plaza (where Regal is) if I put in the address. If I put in the name, it led me across the street to PAMF. Last year I went to the Foothill Optometry Group in Pleasanton for my eye exam, and didn't like the experience. I felt rushed and handed off to about 5 different people during the whole visit. I should have used yelp last year because I probably would have ended up at Dublin Ranch Optometry earlier, and had less fears about having my eyes checked again. To put it simply, Shianne and Dr. Yee are amazing! They are so very kind, down to earth, and professional. They always greet me at the door with full smiles and call me by my first name. I feel extremely comfortable there, and know I'm in good hands. Shianne is great about reminding me of my follow-up appointments, and letting me know when contact orders are running behind. You can tell that both Shianne and Dr. Yee care about their patients and love what they do. My appointments have always been later in the day after work when the office is nearing close time, yet I don't get the feeling that they are tired and just wanting to go home ASAP (like I do at the end of the day!). Completely agree with Kimberly C. Dr. Yee was so thorough with exam and explanation of everything. I had lasik surgery 2 years ago and had some complications. went back to the surgeon many times even saw a different eye doctor but always got the same answer that didn't explain anything. Dr. Yee explained very clearly and shared her experience with another patient with similar problems-this is the first time I finally got some ease of mind and was able to understand more of the problem. Dr. Yee and her assistant are super friendly. They understand the insurance very well and I even found out for the first time that my insurance has good coverage for sunglasses annually! I switched to Dublin Ranch Optometry because of the Yelp reviews, and decided to give them a try. Dr. Sara Yee was very detailed in my first visit, and I did not feel that I got that rush job eye appointment. The eye exam took over 1 hour, and she tested everything, she even diagnosed that my red eyes were due to dryness, and explained how to use eye drops with my contacts. Shianne is very professional and all around friendly, on the phone and in-person. I'm reserving the last star for next years visit and maybe the year after that to see how the treatment is for repeat clients. For now, I'd recommend seeing them, especially if you're using the VSP plan. 12/02/2013 - UPDATE, my follow-up visits warrant a 5 star review, no kidding. I will have to say, when you go to your appointment, you might think you're in a dental office because both Dr. Yee and Shianne will greet you with bright smiles. Dr. Sara Yee fitted me with 3 types of weekly trial lenses until I found the one that worked best. I'll be back yearly, and recommend. read more

I've been going to Dr. Yee at Dublin Ranch Optometry for nearly 7 years now. Dr. Yee is the most thorough and detailed optometrist I've ever been to! During my very first appointment, she noticed things about my eye health that no other doctor had told me about before. I found out recently that I'm not a good candidate for lasik, and although that was not the news I wanted to hear, I got a pair of glasses filled at Dublin Ranch Optometry w/ ultra thin digital lenses that I really love! They worked patiently with my toddler (who recently had to get her first pair of glasses) and made her feel super comfortable.
