I wasn't sure if I had an eye infection or it was just bad allergies, but I needed to get it checked out and my care provider didn't have any appointments available until next week. I called Dr. Diamond and he was kind enough to fit me into his schedule in between appointments. Hi, I use to go have my eyes check by this place. However ever year service is going down the drain. It is time for the doctor to retire. It took him over 7 times to get me new contact and kept having them wrong. When I ask for refund at fist he refused till I said I will write a yelp. Then when I took my business elsewhere him and his staff wouldn't release my medical records till I went in person and pick them up. Horrible service from him to his staff. Incredible professional and personal service. Got an eye examination and bought contacts and they kindly waived the contacts lens fitting fee, and even gave me cookies since their eye glasses suppliers just sent it to them. Highly recommend them and they don't make you feel awkward at all when you ask about prices and copay, unlike a lot of other medical places. read more

I felt that this location was a bit off the beaten path but parking was actually totally fine even though there was some road closures near the location. Its in a small parking lot really close to the freeway exit, making it pretty convient. The front office staff were polite and super helpful from picking out my frames, and answering any questions I had. The doctor also was warm and worked efficiently with very little wait time on my part. My only complaint is I wish they had a wider selection of frames and brands available. The ones I chose are nice and were reasonably priced but do wish they offered more premium brands. (Thats on me for not checking ahead of time) read more

Three different people could not get my frames adjust so they would not be crooked on my face. I was just told that it was my face, despite there being a huge difference in height. The glasses were also causing me pain, Dr Diamond told me I could be in pain or have my glasses constantly slip down. After continued problems, I was told the glasses were too heavy and to exchange for a lighter pair. Their selection is not the most fashionable, I would say it fits an older crowd. I felt bullied into the pair I ultimately ended up with. I hate them, I feel like a teenager with frames her older mother picked out. These new frames only fit after I made further adjustments at home. Would not recommend. Will not be going back. read more

I was getting my car worked on across the way at America's Tire store and was just about to get on the road to work, but saw that Dr. Diamond's shop was open...I have been needing to get my frames adjusted and decided to check it out.Once it was my turn, I told her my dilemma..she took care of my frames and got them to fit my face pronto! I started going to Dr. Diamond when the "big box" eye centers just didn't feel like i was getting the service I needed & deserved. I have never been happier with a Doctor!! I was referred to Dr. Diamond by a co-worker and found he and his staff to be quite friendly and welcoming. However, Dr. Diamond's "friendliness" crossed over to being inappropriate. I have not been back to see Dr. Diamond since he called me a "cougar!" Seriously! It was after he asked the age of my husband and I told him he was 5 years younger than me. I know he thought he was being friendly and personable, but I was a little surprised by the comment. He also spent more time talking about himself, his girlfriend and his dating life than I cared to know about. I thought we would be talking about the health of my eyes, silly me. All in all, I felt that his comments were inappropriate and he was a little creepy. read more

I wear professional loupes for work. I broke an arm off the glasses and was left with nothing to wear and an option to send them back for a frame change at $375 dollars and a six week wait! I brought them to Dr. Diamond's office at 5:00 pm not expecting much! I'm not even their patient... I left with my loupes not only repaired, but adjusted by Dawn with such care and empathy for my situation, but when I tried to pay, they wouldn't even take my money! Disclaimer: I have not met Dr. Diamond. This is a review of his staff's lack of friendliness (really the older lady, as the young lady was not dismissive as she was although she seemed a bit hesitant to do anything). I had a frame for which I wanted lenses under my insurance plan. They didn't discuss any lens type options - I would not have chosen the lenses I received if I knew how thick they would be. Anti-glare was quite expensive at $125, so I don't think the prices are great. My main issue, however, besides the lack of friendliness - no one even said hello or acknowledged me as I stood there at the front desk for more than 5 minutes while they spoke with another client - was that they did not even fit the glasses. When I used to go to Kaiser Optical, they would make sure the glasses were sitting at the right place and typically they had to be tweaked (I.e., the nose pieced adjusted) because my ears are not quite even so if you don't adjust the glasses, they are slightly tilted. The lady handed me my glasses and looked at me with irritation when I was still standing there as I put them on. I felt too awkward at that point to ask if they would help me adjust them. She went back to her paperwork and did not even say anything in return to my saying "Thank you, have a good day." There are plenty of optometrists in the area. Obviously they don't need my business, so I'll go somewhere else. read more

I went there when my son broke the glasses I needed to drive. He did the tests and said I was on the cusp of needing to use them regularly, then advising that I take the leap. I got the new glasses and tried regular use, but always got headaches from regular use. He told me to give it time, and keep them on as much as possible. He told me I would get use to them, and I could always return them if the problem didn't go away... It didn't, so I took them back but was told I took... like a week longer then they would allow for returns. So for the past two years I have once again, only used them for driving, and get headaches on long trips. I went to a new optometrist a short while back and he told me the prescription was way too strong for me. I got new glasses, and now I wear them all day without problems. read more

Our family of six has been seeing Dr. Diamond since1989. I have a strong refraction, and he has always been able to fine tune the prescription to perfection. He does a thorough battery of eye tests as well as asking relevant health questions. All six of us wear glasses and/or contacts, and Dr. Diamond is the only optometrist that we trust. I called and made an appt and the whole time I was given the impression that I would be meeting Dr. Diamond. I had looked at his credentials etc, before calling the place. When I went in, it was someone else altogether, who saw me. I was not introduced to her so I had no idea who she was. I read her name off her coat and looked around the room and saw absolutely no credentials on the wall. Just Dr. Diamond's were posted. I had no idea if she was qualified, where she went to school, nothing. I think, if you make an appt with a particular Dr. , you should see that doctor. I made the appt weeks in advance so they knew if he would be working that day. And if it was a last minute change, then they should have informed me when i walked in. And apparently there are other doctors there as well, but none of their credentials were up on the wall. Somehow I don't feel comfortable with that. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. I would never recommend them to anyone. The front office staff AND the Dr. are rude. When I asked the Dr about why he charges so much for a procedure that my previous Dr didn't charge for at all, he told me "well just go back to him then." They worked with me as much as possible to help save on cost and used my current sunglass frames to put lenses in so I didn't have to buy a new pair. My glasses were ready in a couple of days and he fit my glasses to me in person. They also put a rush on my sunglasses to ensure they'd be back for my vacation!
