He charged me $300 to replace my phone screen, claiming it was an original part, but it didn't work properly and I ended up having to buy a new phone anyway. What upsets me the most is not the money, but the way customers are treated. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unacceptable for someone working in customer service. I never felt respected or valued as a customer. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. Good customer service is essential, and unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing.

I brought my laptop in because it would no longer boot up correctly after running Norton Utilities and the automatic repair tools wouldn't work. I was told that the prognosis was pretty grimm and we could recover the data, but would have to restore the OS an reinstall all of the software, etc. They were very friendly and just trying to be honest, which I appreciate. They said they would try a few things, but weren't optimistic. Well, I'm glad I didn't listen. I did a 5 minute search on Google that led to an article that took me through (step-by-step) fixing the problem in 3 minutes. My computer was immediately back to being FULLY functional with no loss of data or programs. I guess this would be a 5 start review had someone said: those are hard errors to fix, but we can look online and research to see if there are fixes out there for this type of problem. I would have left them my computer. But would they have searched or just come to the conclusion that a wipe of the computer was the only fix? Note: I consider myself to be very computer literate and only went looking for "expert" help when I couldn't figure out a resolution. In hindsight, I now realize i could have done a google search earlier and saved myself a trip.

This is not a simple matter of backlog or the complexity of what should be a relatively simple task. It's a matter of inept communication and the refusal of Plug and Play to provide the client with decent and professional customer service.

Spam filters per email etc. Go Daddy offers the same options at much, much better prices with truly more control over your products. When I went to cancel my service and they are STILL billing me! I actually canceled services over two months ago and emailed every time I was charged and finally had to call and then I got "well I can't authorize a refund so you will have to wait until Monday". Sad that company that was good in the beginning now has terrible customer service. If you are looking for a hosting company you are better off with a big box like Go Daddy than Tech Evolution.

They are honest and up front and tell you if it's worth fixing or not. I like that about them. I can't stand when a company will just fix something not worth fixing to make a dollar. Then two months later it's going to break. I definitely will always use Computer Escape for all my Computer needs. They do an amazing job.
